Default Today's Kryptonian rant
Brian's news item today about Kryptonians being assholes seems to be on the mark, besides the "exception" of Jor-El and Kal-El. But I think that deep down, all of them are assholes at some point or another, even Superman. There's plenty of evidence of Superman being a total jerk at different stages of his career. It helps support Brian's theory even more: that Kryptonians are inherently assholes.

Over at I-Mockery they have a semi-regular feature now looking at Superman comic covers. They already covered (ow!) Jimmy Olsen and Lois Lane.

EDIT: I also love how the Jimmy Olsen covers proudly proclaim that he's Superman's Pal, yet they're always being dicks to each other, or trying to kill each other outright (when Jimmy is the murderer, he always gets some kind of special, I-can-kill-Superman-now power)

And yes, it's all about Superman being a dick. He let's Lois get in increasingly embarassing and dangerous situations as she gets younger and younger, just to teacher her the "curiosity killed the cat" lesson.
