However, some of them aren't in use anymore, like how I only use one of the three "Mr. Viewtiful" cards, because it's the latest version. Others aren't used, simply because the people I made them for don't like them anymore, or they modified them for a more Christmas-ey look.

Demon With a Glass Hand: That's pretty good! However, I couldn't help but notice that you base yours off of the "deluxe" Card Fighter's Clash game. Sweet :D

BTW, are you an Outer Limits fan? I could've sworn that's an Outer Limits episode name...

It is indeed the title for an Outer Limits episode. I didn't realize this of course until I did Google search on the name. I first coined the phrase "With a Glass Hand" when I was describing my writer's block to a friend. He commented that I should write a poem about it. And I did.

The whole "Demon" part of my name just seemed cool to tack on to it. So here I am. A "Demon with Writer's Block" or a "Demon with a Glass Hand."

As for the artwork, I am currently using art from the deluxe set, because it has a more mature look to it. Notice "Cat Girl B" and how she is slightly more cartoony than my avatar or Adian's. I used the first set to make her and Big Bad Imp. The differences are subtle, but they are much more bubbly than the Avatars I made using the Deluxe set.

I do however plan to start using the original set. Perhaps in conjunction with the deluxe set ... hmmm. We'll see what happens.

I'm back again, with another pic I did on an Oekaki board.... I had to dull it up a bit (read: get rid of the cool background and shrink and stuff) because of the 40k limit... the original was something like 250k >_>; Anyways. It's Pokemon.. get over it if you don't like them... these six are my favorites ^^ I love Eevee and its evolutions, especially Umbreon (for those of you who don't know which that is, the black one in the back) This pic took about three hours from start to finish x_x But I liked the way it turned out ^^

Yah, legs are a bitch... not as much of a bitch as eyes though. Ugh, I HATE eyes. Drawing one is easy, but making the other look like it's actually a part of the same pair is a pain in the ass beyond all reason. I really wish I had a scanner, I'd throw up some stuff I did a few years ago... some of it is pretty good if I can still find it.

Legs, arms, and hands are always my biggest problem... Eyes... teehee... I tend to go with those really big uber kawaii eyes, and it doesn't really matter if they're perfect or not like that... when I draw them normally, their a bit harder, but not as hard and the legs and stuff (if I draw a person, I mean... animals legs I can handle)

(referring to the earlier conversation) I love drawing eyes. ^_^ They're the best part of the whole picture. ^^ And hands aren't THAT horrible, especially if you look at your own hand for reference. If you watched me while I draw, you would laugh, I always twist my arm into weird directions so I can see it in the eact pose at the exact angle I need to draw it as. Another good tip with drawing hands is when you do the guidelines, draw what you can't see, like if the fingers are behind aother part of the hand, draw them anyway. ^^ 9if that makes any sense) I don't like legs 'cause they always look weird. ^^

Anyhoo. I drew this last night and I'm fairly happy with it. ^_^ (Also, I know you should be able to see his eye, but I was going for the Manga look.) I discovered something while drawing this picture about making pictures look better, so hopefully my pictures will start looking better. ^_^ But who knows. ^^ Just 'cause I think of something doesn't mean I'll use it. ^_^ Anyhoo. I hope people like it.

Although I did name most of them... except for the ones that are all drawn on that one sheet of notebook paper (with actual current events quiz notes!). I believe I named that one Alyssra... I'd have to look at the paper though, and I left it downstairs next to the scanner.

Actually, I think anime is as difficult as you make it. I love anime because it's so.... free. You can make it as simple as you wish, or you could make it more complex. I mean, I'm currently working on a picture... I started last night and I'm still not done. There is no way anyone can convice me that is easy. Especially when you're drawing with your mouse, which is what I do almost 90% of the time. (I would use some cool programs... but I have none. ^^;; )

But that's just me. ^_^ hehe. *shrugs* I have a high respect for all kinds of art, especially anime/manga. ^_^

But hey, I dunno. Maybe I'm too defensive. (I know I am. ^^;; hehe)

Yeah, I use my mouse. I did get a tablet a year ago, but I don't use it that much. ('cause it won't install on my computer upstairs, which is the computer I do 90% of my drawings on) Plus I just like my mouse when I draw on my computer. ^^; I guess I still have to get used to drawing cleanly with my tablet. ^_^;

I tried to expand my ability to draw last night by copying panel 2 of the 'Adorable Idiot' guest comic. I have to say that for my first attempt, it's coming along rather well. I've been repeatedly drawing both Fighter and White Mage and writing down what was bad about the picture each time.

On the one hand, one of my rubbish attempts at Fighter now looks like it could be used for an Orc or something, what with the neck going out at an odd angle. On the other hand however, I still haven't got the hang of drawing White Mage's arm.

I wish I could draw properly using Paint, as then I would be able to shift entire sections of the image using c&p. Once I've actually got it to a good level, I'm going to try and draw the picture with less and less aid from the previous drawings.

Heheh. Trust me. I appreciate fine art. There's nothing better than looking at some of Van Gogh's paintings (especially Starry Night. That is probably my favorite piece of art of all time. ^_^ ) And art class is full of fine art. ^^;; like Ed Hopper, Picasso, Monet, etc etc etc. Currently we're working on 3 paintings and we're starting another one when school starts up again. ^^;; Bleh and we only have about a week to do it... >_<;;;; very frusterating. ^^

Yeah. Drawing with a mouse is... difficult, untill you get the hang of it. I know people who can draw absolute masterpieces with a mouse just because they know how to handle it. ^^;;

And you don't practice, you must be one of those naturally gifted people. ^^ *envy*

but all I know is I have to practice. And sometimes the best way to practice is to look off of other pictures and draw them. Then you get the hang of porportions and what goes where. ^^; Then once you get the hang of that, then you can start drawing just what's in your mind. (even though I still have trouble with that. Dinamic angles is not something I do well. ^_^;; )

Yes. Every day. (I mean, you don't have to stick to it religiously, but you probably shouldn't space it out to where it's a month between each picture. ^^ ) I honostly just drew when I felt like it, which was, at the time, pretty much every day. (because I'm a loser. ne? hehe)

Soul Fire: Go to google and do a search for irfanview, it's a freeware image viewing program that views just about any and every type of image file and can save them as any other type of image file.


Also... Mouse drawings? Woo! I have one that I did with a mouse in the yahoo white board thing that's pretty decent. Just remember, it was done in a mouse on a white board (which is like paint only with fewer tools to use).

Just incase, if you want to see any of my pictures. look in the /Roleplay/Melatina (or something thread), and on the second page, there is my picture. And there is one in the /post your 8bit thertre sketsh thread. I use models to make good pictures. Poser 5 is a good way to get any kind of fface, to any kind of model. When I am determined to make a good picture, I use that program.

Is nice, yes. You used a fill for the background, right? Looks a little like Magic Marker...

On the Oekaki, they have a thing where you can draw the foreground pic, then color in the background however you like without having to worry about the color spilling into your main pic. I used a tool called watercolor and basically scribbled over the back with different colored blues until I got the affect I wanted ^^;

Yay! Finally got my other pic sized so that it'll fit. It was normally a little bigger... just cropped the sides a little, so there isn't much missing.

Here's two pictures I did a while ago, back when I was just getting used to the Oekaki boards. (heh. for some reason, I'm in the mood to show my old pictures... maybe I'll show some of my new ones... but they're kinda big... I hate resizing things...)

The first one is Riku from Kingdom Hearts, I tried to do it in a computer-animation-y look. ^^ (note, I drew this before I knew what the heck layers were, so they's why the background is pooey)

The other one was my attempt and learning how to do realism with an oekaki board... it's kinda messed up. ^^;;

Here are some sketches I did for an Atari 2600 label. A guy I know sells his homebrews, so I get to do lots of fun stuff. The characters are based off an original picture that adorned the arcade cabinets of the Space Invaders game. Since the homebrew in question is a Space Invaders hack, I decided to modernize the character in my own special way.

Ooh, boy I'm so proud of myself. As you may know I just started really trying to draw anime. Someone on the forum said to pick a character you like and try drawing him, even if you are looking at the picture the whole time. So I did. I picked Piro in the early stages (since I have volume one, that way I didn't have to be connected to the net the whole time. I would really like some critisism and suggestions on how I can be better. I know the hair's a little off in length and the guidlines are still there. Should the chin be a little further down? Help me please!

Edit: And I'm still confused on the whole Oekaki thing. Like I said I'm new at drawing.

I have a question... How do you do folds and shading? The mysteries of both elude me...

Folds and shading are something that I can just do. A good way to start is to put something like a wrinkled shirt in front of you and draw the shirt with all the wrinkles. It's a matter of practice. As for shading, if it isn't indicated on what you're drawing, you have to imagine a light source hitting it, and wherever there are shadows, that's where you shade. Like I said before you really need to practice, that's how I got good at it.

I agree with you on the Sora picture being better. I rushed a lot of the Riku picture, whereas I spent so long on the Sora picture, it nearly drove me insane. ^^;; I was about to throw my computer out the window. ^^

Actually, the name I used for the FF rp was basically my best friend's name, just with two letters changed, then I accedentally kept typing Kairi, like the Kairi from Kingdom Hearts, instead of Kirie. ^^;; heheh

I didn't really enjoy donald and goofy in my party. ^^;; They served for a distraction for the enemy better than anything, and sometimes... they would just ruin the mood of the game. My Donald and Goofy were the worst. They would both use a healing item on the same person at the same time, waisting the items. I just used them basically for something the enemies could kill while I took care of the enemy. ^^; But sometimes they would be helpful if I couldn't heal myself fast enough. ^^;
It would have been cool if it could have been multiplayer and somebody else could be either donald or goofy. ^^;

Anyhoo... as to not get of topic...
I started drawing a black mage... but it didn't turn out very well.... ^^; Maybe if I get another cancelation I'll think of something to draw. ^^;

'Two thumbs and a toe', huh...? It says a lot when someone's willing to give a toe, you know. I'm glad people like it. I'm not very good with weapons yet (still practicing) and I seem to have this problem in that everyone wears outfits that look either too similar or kinda plain (to me, anyways. It's hard to keep thinking up new outfits to go with every character I invent.)

And as for Mystic Cloud's picture... Pretty good. I'm not all that talented in drawing muscles, so my guys always look kinda scrawny... ^_^()

thanks for the good comments. yes, she is wearing a long sleeved shirt, and her leg is a bit to the left to show how her weight is shifted, but i guess i messed it up. and it's not trunks, but it does look like him, now that i see it again. once i learn how to colour it properly on the comp., then i will put a coloured pic of him up(he has red hair). and i learned to draw from turtourials, but i lost the sites. :(

Zabuza - we thinks that its pretty good, especially considering Kishimoto's art style. You got it from one of the chapter cover illustrations, right?

Hey guys. After seeing all the amazing artwork by Macharticle, I was inspired to sketch this (during 12-2 Physics, mostly) using a similar style (it pales in comparison of course, but still!). All my best artwork seems to happen during school hours...

And while I'm here, I suppose I'll mention that I made my avatar during a Graphic Design course. It's made out of construction paper!

Anyway, this picture is based on a character I made in a free text-based MMORPG. ^_^ (excuse the lined paper... Really, I think it adds a nice touch)

Laguna was a minor character in FFVIII. Honestly, I thought the same thing. I think his head is a little disproportionate to his body. Otherwise its a good job, especially the pen look on the hair.

Well, I wanted to do another JTHM picture before I had to give the book back and here's the picture I drew. I love this scene from the book:
"What's that Shmee? Uh huh.... Mmm? Yeaah... Um... Well... SCREW YOU MR. BEAR! YOU ARE FILLED WITH LIES! LIEEES!" *proceeds to stab the teddy bear and frightens the child there for life.

The book is supposed to be scary, but it's also humorous (it was written my the guy who made Invader Zim, so it's kinda of crazy random humor like that)

After this picture, I'm probably going to go back to my normal style. This style was fun to do, but it's just not me. So...
