I know the book just came out, and that it's proboly much to early to be asking, but is there any idea if a sequal to this amazing, wonderful, (dare I say sexy?) book will be made? If so, can you tell us anything about it?

I'm currently working on the sequel, Atomik Age. It takes place seven years after the final page of Nuklear Age. It follows Atomik Lad, now known simply as Atomik, as he tries to build a team of heroes (some old faces, some new) to defend against the threats that face the Post-Nuklear world.
It is primarily told in first person from Sparky's perspective.

He went by the name Atomiknight in the alternate future that came about when Dr. Never sent Nuklear Man 13 years into the future instead of 13 trilliion (slight miscalculation) thus leaving no one to stop him from taking over. Since Nuke returned to the present, that future was prevented, Dr. Never did not take over the world, and Atomiknight is no one at all.
I also have about a novel's worth of short stories in the vein of DC's Elseworlds. I oughta write up what happened when Nuke met Atomiknight and include it in that collection.

I personally thought a prequel would work better then a sequel. It would be random hilarity since all the nasty stuff hadn't happened yet, and you could describe all the stuff that was mentioned in greater clarity. But, that's just my 2 cents.

I've had two prequels rolling around in the back of my head almost since I started work on Nuklear Age. One takes place a few months before Nuklear Age and chronicles our heroes on an adventure into fantasy. The other takes place in the early to mid '40s and follows the exploits of the men and women of science during what would be called the Heroic Age.

Yeah, I think I prequel would definently be preferable to a sequel in this case.
Edit: After all, one of the main points of Nuklear age is to make fun of that time period, and a sequel would be kind of repetitive in that sense. If a prequel were made, it would leave you with more options.
Edit 2: Reading the above post, I like the idea about the 40's. I think you could make alot of fun of that age. After all, this is the point in history right around the time the U.S. entered WW2, and when most comics of the time were about Americanized superheroes fighting the Nazis (e.g. Captain America).

I, for one, would like to see both a sequel and a prequel in one book. Something that does a chapter from the future and then a chapter from the past, then future, then past, etc.

I dont like the idea of a prequel.
I mean, a big part of the book was learning of thier pasts. Learning Nukes origins, learning Sparky's origins. Hell even Dr. Genious's origins.
The past is already set in stone, the future is what is uncertain in the nuklear world.
If there needed to be clearing up of the past there could be flashbacks, Chapters set in the past, Historical tapes of testing, lots of stuff.
The Last chapter was a huge setup for a sequel. It pretty much stated who the bad guys could be.

Don't worry too much about the prequels. I use the term in the loosest sense. The pulp era one will just fill in a lot of gaps about things that will get mentioned in Atomik Age while the more recent one... well, it's hard to explain. But trust me, it'll work.

I donno about the idea of a sequal, I loved Nuklear age beacuase of all of Nuke's wacky antics and i just donno if Atomic Lad could prove to be a source for those crazy antics.
But a prequal sounds cool, the 1940's pulp thing sounds mad cool, but that might be becuase i like White Wolf's, Adventure!(you know, the prequal to Abberant) way to much.

Well, Atomik Lad isn't the source of the antics. The world around him is. It's no Nuklear Age 2 or anything. It's definitely a different book, different messages, different approach. Hopefully it'll be interesting though!

Some of the best comededic works are written when the situation, not the main charactor, is the source of the humor. Reader's have a natural desire to relate towards the main charactor, and it's harder to relate to a charactor who is wierd/funny. Just check out any of the great sattire authors like Douglass Adams and Terry Pratchett.
I say, anything you write, prequel or sequel, will be funny as long as the enviroment is funny.

While I think the prequel would be awesome, I would like a sequel more. I've grown too attached to Atomik Lad and everyone else to just let them go without some kind of resolution.
Hopefully Brian will get to write all of these books. His talent for writing is better than most of the modern writers today.

I gotta agree with Gizmodude, Nuklear Age was one of the best writen books I've ever read second only to A Game of Thrones.
