How is it that so many of you people have already long since finished this mammoth (in size, not hairiness) of a book? I bought it on Amazon the very day it came out, and I'm still getting through the Crushtacean scene. Now, I know that some of you lucky bastards know Brian personally and got to read the book before it became available to us normal folk- but what about the rest of you? Am I just a slow reader who's naively following Brian's advice to take the thing in small doses, or what?

It's not a race, y'know. :) Think of it like this -- you get to enjoy it longer than everyone else has.

It's not so much that I'm thinking of it as a race, as that I want to be able to discuss the book as a whole here on the fora, not just the first 20 episodes (especially since everyone, including the author, insists that it gets way different toward the end). It's a matter of wanting to join the club of People-Who-Have-Finished-The-Book-And-Get-To-Talk-About-How-Awesome-It-Is. You see, I have no friends in real life and must use the internet to feel validated as a person. ;)

Oh, well, in that case, here's something to keep you warm until you finish the book:
**!!YOU are SPECIAL!!**

dude, be happy you even have the book. I ordered it like a couple of hours after brian posted the link and I still havent recieved it. Hopefully, in the next 2 weeks, I will be blinded by somethin magical inside an ordinary brown box, but until then, feel fortunate.
