I would have to say, the Boatdoken is the most awesome thing I have ever seen. It's Black Mage's best work.

What about FIGHTERDOKEN? That was good!

Ah, so true! But My favorite is still the Boatdoken. It has a special place in my heart.

Boatdoken was Black Mage's proudest momment

Fighterdoken and Medoken are the same thing but Fighter is just putting it into first person. But I really like the first time Black Mage used the Hadoken. I went wow, then went to bed.

Bm- Deploy the rocket boat!
Rm- you do realize there are no rocket boats?
Bm- aren't there, Red Mage, aren't there?
Bm- Take, for instance, the following evidence which, I'm sure, you will find most compelling...
BOATDOKEN!!!

Please, jack of spades, don't encourage people to post worthless things. I understand you want to increase the activeness in the forums. But random, spammy activeness is annoying.

yes, I would have to agree... one of BMs best moments!

The fighterdoken and the boatdoken I'd say are tied for Blackmage's best moment. Everytime I'm playing FF and I have my Black Mage cast FAST on the Fighter, I keep picturing it as a fighterdoken; same end result, really.
As for the boatdoken: there is something to be said for harnessing and using the power of an ultimate attack just because you're sick of how slow the boat is moving.

I'm not trying to encourage posting random/stupid stuff. I think that people should post if they have a serious opinion. I find it hard to believe that 100sumodd people can read this and only 10 or so people have something serious to say.
As for the current thread: I also have like the scene where BM kills the old men. And when WM asks what BM would do if an orphanage was on fire. "Use Fire3 to torch it to the ground then use Bolt2 set to a wide dispersal to pick off any survivors." I think I got most of that quote right at least.

My favorite -doken instance was the Level 9 Light Spell. "Yes...it will enlighten the cave through the use of a MASSIVE EXPLOSION."

What?!?!? Nobody mentionned the time with the bee?
RM- It was only a bee!
BM- Not no mo' it ain't!
I thought it was hilarious!

Nah...a guy in my DnD group invented an even better one...the GnomeDoken! I mean, think about it...those nasty little creeps are LIKE dwarves, but smaller, canny, and possessed of great powers of illusions to assist in their criminal ways! Clearly, those smug bastards need Dokening far more than dwarves, who are just spiky missiles.

Nah, its 'bout time for the mighty Imp-Doken! With the amount and size of 'em, BM could even go rapid-fire :D

ok, so im not much of an ASCII artist (that's supposed to be a hadoken) not bad for a first try tho, eh?

Those Imp's are far to crafty for BM to ever get his hands on 'em to throw.
Damn Imp's...

Gotta love Black mage. If it can't be solved through random violence, well, then it really isn't worth solving, is it?

Ahh... Boatdoken. Quite possible the best use of magic ever thought up by man, and what about BM's "critical eye.....BEAMS!"?
PS wouldnt eye beams of any sort fry your eyes?

I would have to say, the Boatdoken is the most awesome thing I have ever seen. It's Black Mage's best work.
While I am most partial to "YOU THANKING VERY MUCH BRACK BELT SAN!", I believe the very best of Black Mage's work would come with his "stamina problems" in 126 when the Light Warriors are about to be dropped into the vat of dangerous acid. "Shut up, man! I told you it's GLANDULAR! I can't help it!" Hilarious...
Jack of Spades
11-19-2003, 11:13 AM
I love that acid scene.
RM:I have a plan. If I can just get my spare D20.
ROLL!! fssshhh...
RM:...I rolled my die into the acid...
BM: Rather telling of the plan as a whole. Don't you think?

I agree with all this. I think all the -Dokens have been good so far. There should...like...be a Brian-ClevingerDoken just for fun. Ok, Maybe it's not a good idea. I'm sorry Brian! Please don't crush my pitiful soul! AAAAAAAGH!!
Um...right. Anyway, I think there should be Boatdoken emoticon. Y'know. 'Smiley'.

No, no, no.. You all are missing out on one of my personal favorite BM quotes ever. Episode 259: There's No Such Thing as Senseless Violence
RM: Er, shouldn't we heal him?
BM: Why bother? He'll just do or say something to make me stab him again. This is the best for all of us, trust me.
But it's those little punchlines in all the comics that makes BM great. Honestly, it'd be hard to pick out a single favorite BM joke when he makes one in nearly every comic. Right? ...
:: silence ::
That's what I thought. As for my favorite -doken moment.. The first time, without a doubt. When he blows up the forest, that line is just classic.
BM: Er... Well, y'know. You can't make an omelette without um... destroying a forest. Or something.
Ah.. Black Mage. He is the guy that makes the peoples laugh.. or something along those lines.

I think that Fighterdoken is BM's best -doken but there is no denying the pure awesomeness of BOATDOKEN

One of the best BM momenst was immediately after his inner monologue where he ponders the evilness of all the evil he has wrought, and then fighter says something (to add the word 'stupid' would just be repetitive and repetitious) and derails BM's thoughts...and we hear....
:bmage: What was I just thinking? Well, <whips out dagger> THIS couldn't be too far off the mark! <Jumps at Fighter>
But, tied for first, we have the 'BM lays the Fattie Mack down on WM and gets Mauled by a Warhammer Repeatedly' scene,
and then....even though Thief is in on this too, "Everything I love is combustible!"
"Why aren't I dead yet?! <crackle.>", etc, etc.
