And, Blademage, the problem with those last two pictures you posted is that they blend into their background too easily. It'll be hard to find the outlines.

Cheshire: I've put togather a collection of proposed avatars for you. Avatars 1-3 (referring to their titles) are basically minor variations on the same design. Avatars 4 & 5 are a rather different design, with avatar 5 (cheshire_anim) being the animated version. Check them out, and use any that you like.

I think that this thread is missing something, so I've decided to take charge (in a ways). Thus, I have compiled all unfulfilled requests into:

THE LIST!

Videogamerz2000 wants an elven warrior avatar with purple armor, red cape, and green gauntlets.

Klyco would like an awesome Black Mage avatar.

Master of Magic requested either a mage-type avatar, or another Calvin and Hobbes one.

EVIL Ness wanted either a dancing space monkey, or an evil Ness avatar (I can’t tell, the request keeps changing).

Bob the Mercenary asked for an animated stick figure avatar.

Highonpawns wants something chess-related.

Hawkboy204 would like something hawk-related.

fub requested for an Armored Core avatar.

Zakanf Da'arkblades posted up a pic of an old guy, and would like it with a card border.

The Mirror King asked for a Metal Gear Rex avatar.

Osterbaum requested for a change in lettering for his current avatar, and/or a Grim Fandango/Manuel Calavera avatar with the text 'I'm your new travel agent.'

...and, of course, Narcaleptic Man, who happens to have posted his request just above my list (ninja monkey avatar).

For all you generous avatar artists out there, when you finish an avatar, be sure to PM me reporting that you've finished the job. I'll update this request list every week or so, so artists don't have to go back and hunt down requests. This should also prevent users from re-posting requests repeatedly.

For those who are requesting, it would help if, once you get an artist, PM him/her your e-mail address. It makes corresponding about avatars and delivering them easier.

Since I'm decent at lettering, I'll get to work on Osterbaum's request. I'll hopefully get it done by tomorrow.

On the topic of animating avatars: The main thing is creating an animation. Programs like ImageForge (I think that one can still download a free version from www.cursorarts.com) can make animations, and GIMP has an animation add-on. The next step is to get hold of a free gif animator (of which there are many - search for HVSAnimlite, Microsoft Gif Animator, Ulead Gif Animator, or unFREEz, for example), which can load your animation and save it as an animated gif.

Of course, a 3D renderer capable of producing animations is always a good thing, but these cost money (unless someone knows of a free one).

I have a total of 16 images to be put into a moving GIF format. I cannot do this as I do not have the software or the knowhow. It must meet forum size requirements, and I have already scaled them down to 100X100 pixles or less.

Once again, if I made any mistakes regarding THE LIST, please tell me so I can make adjustments. Also be sure to contact me by PM or otherwise when a request has been fulfilled, it helps me with organizing THE LIST.

Another note: there's no better way to make an avatar than to do it yourself. There's a crapload of free imaging programs you can download , plus Google's image search, that'll set you well on your way to making your avatar. Otherwise, you can always check your favorite webcomic sites for avatar pages, such as Fireball20XL.com (http://www.fireball20xl.com/gcd/downloads.php) and VG Cats (http://www.vgcats.com/misc/icons.php). I'm not discouraging avatar requests here, I'm just saying that you should try finding your own first.

Find a picture you like. This picture needs to look recognizeable at 100x100 pixels (as a reference, mine is the maximum size). Don't worry if it isn't the right size, the forums will shrink it down for you.

Once you have your picture, click on the <User CP> (right under where it says Nuklear Power Forums>MainCaregory>Arts and Crafts), then <Edit Avatar>. From there, you can either link to this picture (if you found it on the web) or you can upload it (if it is saved on your computer).

From there, it appears right where everyone else's picture does.

And, if you'd like, I have a hamster picture you can use.

Osterbaum and Secretskull I took the two characters out of Zweihander's picture and cropped the faces. I think the one without sunglasses was the one you wanted Osterbaum and amazingly I didn't have a picture of an undead with sunglasses, but this one looked as good as any. I'm not sure about pixel sizes but the file size is small enough for an avatar. I can resize if necessary.

I feel like I lied to everyone. I've retired from the life of making Card Clash Avatars. That part is true. I don't want any mistakes made here.

The lie is in that I am retired permamently. As, such is the case, I was made aware of a very important assignment. One that needed my direct attention. So I was "pulled out" of retirement.

It wasn't something I did of my own accord. I did it because, philosophically, I am sympathetic to the cause put forth in front of me. I had to take the assignment. Period.

As of 8:30pm western mountain time, I have returned to my "retired" status.

I haven't changed my avatar in a while, and the Raiden from MGS is getting kind of boring. I'm thinking of going back to the whole "Thunder God" theme I had for myself, but the pictures I got from Mr. V are kind of used.

Actually, attribute all your praise towards C-Dog. I merely downloaded Chris Jericho's old Titantron, used Print Screen to take frame by frame pictures, shrunk them down to Forum Requirements, and then shipped them off to C-dog so he could put them together.

I have no talent for Moving Avatars, mainly because I don't have the software to do so, though I can splice a few pictures together quite well in Microsoft Paint.

I've been looking for some help here. I've wanted to, for some time, add weapons to my sprites. However, everytime I do, the weapons look like if they are part of the guy, among other effects. Needless to say, they always look crappy. So, I am hoping to get help here. You won't be able to get extra positions for the little ninja guy. I'm afraid that's all I got, but if you want any other postions for the guy in the overcoat, I can get them. See, the first is a recolor of the guards of Narshe, whereas the second is Gen. Leo's head pasted on Setzer's body, and adding some hair/neck to the overcoat. Needless to say, one sprite has WAY more positions that the other. I can just make more of those, but I get lazy. I'm working on it though! I say this, because while not needed, animation is a nice plus. Also, if the guy could hold two of the weapons at once, it would be cool, though a still with only one of those (I have NO idea what they might be called) is more than enough. Either guy is good, and card or not card, I really dont mind.

Also, I was wondering how to get WC3 sprites, or better yet, animated ones, out of the game. Kinda like the one in a MUCH earlier post. If someone could tell me where/how to get them, it would be cool. Thanks. Help in any of the above will get you recognition in my signature, and anything else I can offer that you might want (I don't know what that might be, but not all requests will be taken.)

Huh? You want an avatar made out of this sprite, or a card avatar, or an avatar that isn't a sprite but looks like the sprite? Or what?

This is why I need to improve on my punctuation.
Anyways, what I want is: A card avatar based on the picture. Doesn't really matter wether it's a sprite or not, just something thats a little different from the sprite that I posted, eg a more detailed face and shoulders kind-of-thing. Artistic license can have its way with everything else.
