THANK YOU Brian for preaching/commanding us to get this game. The infection has spread to at least 4 of my friends.

Now I only have to beat my friend's 9.6 million score that he got 3 weeks after I lent it to him. He had not played Ikaruga single-player (but I told him what to expect via multiplayer) before. Grr...

Ikaruga... I play and I play, but I'm STILL not good enough to break 2.7 mil on Challenge mode. Could it be that I'm a lame gamer?

Yes it could. Ikaruga isn't so much a game as a device to separate the men from the boys. (Then again, the men are the ones that keep playing it after it kicks their ass instead of posting 4/10 reviews on GameFAQs and complaining that it's too hard. Ooh, how I want to throttle those weaklings...)

It could also be the fact that I'm not focused enough to continue my chain on Chapter 1 past the fifty mark.

Nope. What I HAVE done is downloaded the videos from this one guy who got S++ over the entire game playing BOTH SHIPS AT ONCE BY HIMSELF. Craziness.

And there were only about three parts where he wasn't actively using them both. w00tness.

My current record... 85 chain on chapter 1, 3.4 mil over a Challenge Mode. Still not good, but getting there.
