Kelen is more a fighter than a strategist... so most likely he'd go barge into the zombie ranks along with the men and wizards.

I see Kelen on one of those middle walls casting Flame Strike as much as he can right in the middle of the zombies.
Dante

Or he Banishes himself, walks into the middle of the enemy, then starts burning and burning wherever he has to burn, cackling all the way.

Ken will most likely be in the middle of the thickest fighting.
Which means his Aura will be amazingly handy. "We're being overrun. Hey! That samurai guy just chopped that zombie's HEAD OFF. Let's start fighting again!"
And I just noticed...I'm the only one that used a skill spot to make him a swordsman that's REALLYREALLY good. God damn I'm special.
archers? ok thats fine with me. They're all elves though(elves are the best archers anyway.) And I understand where your coming from with the pansy thing.Elves are wusses i admit it. Thats what makes him so unique. He's pretty muscled...for an elf.
Anyway so where will my archers be set up?

Archers are mainly in the South (At the moment. One of the leaders (Gato) is still debating on the strategy). You're guy would probably be behind the Dragoons (The human ones, so he might be right up there with them).
Dante - Banish has a time limit, and is Kelen immune to his own spells? Also, if he sets fire to the forest, he better get it put out, or else he will be in big trouble when the mission is over.
Edit - Jad, Gato wants it so the Undead will barely reach you and your Ogres. Does your Ogre guy want that?
Darth SS
05-10-2004, 11:07 PM
125 elven archers?
Holy shit. That'll cut some undead down. Assuming that 1/5 of them miss on average, that's 100 undead per volley.
After ten volleys, we'd've cut down a lot.
But they've probably gotten some more corpses, so...
Squishy Cheeks
05-10-2004, 11:08 PM
of course not, but I want that. I'd rather have little to no hand to hand occur. Yama however would want nothing less than hand to hand.
IHateMakingNames
05-10-2004, 11:09 PM
There are 300 archers total.
And Jad, Ogre Dragoons are probably one of the best units against Undead. With Giant swords and all that armor, mindless Undead can't do much to the Ogres. Hell, if they just spin around in a line and move forward, the Undead will just start dying (Plus you have around 150 Fighters backing you up).

REPOST: I have everything but my background, so I'll post now.
Name(s): Jace and Bill
Age(s): 23
Sex: Male
Race: Human
Class: Fighters
Magical Item(s): Jace carries a sword that can shoot balls of fire, or turn into a blade of fire. Bill has a sword that can turn whatever it strikes to ice, or shoot out jagged hunks of ice.
Weapons/Armor: Both have full suits of chainmail except for their heads which are exposed, and except for their magic swords, both have a regular longsword and a reguler bow.
Appearance: Jace is 5 foot 10 inches tall, and strongly built, a man of action. His black hair, thin trimmed mustache, and tan skin with calm brown eyes give him a slightly heroic appearance. Bill on the other hand is his opposite. He is a little taller then Jace at 6 foot 1 inch, but his pail skin, blondish brown hair, and weaker constitution give him a frailer look. His skin is unmarked making him look much younger and more inexperienced then he is, and his calm blue eyes make him look more like a thinker and less like a fighter.
Skills/Spells/Aura:
X-Cross: Jace and Bill use their regular swords, and after standing a bit away, they both leap forward and slash the enemy, tearing up even some of the toughest foes.
Frozen Flame: Jace and Bill stand side by side and point their Magic swords at the enemy. First Jace fires, sending multiple waves of fire over his enemies and burning them, setting some on fire. Then Bill fires his ice sword, shooting out a blizzard of massive ice blocks that smash and batter the enemy to pieces.

Don't want OOC in RP thread, so I post here.
FZ, not a very nice way to show your support to the Ogres fighting 1000 Undead. Having you're own corny (Which I hate) conversation with yourself. You're guys should be there, slowly closing in.
Forever Zero

My guys aren't leading anyone, but I figured the leader would call for a charge when the time for battle came. Bascially you told us to keep out of the way of the Ogre Dragoons, and when they back off the fighters charge. To the best of my knowledge the Ogres are still out there, so until they back of or a leader calls the charge, what are the fighters supposed to be doing?

Come on...have the Ogres back off a bit...and let the samurai charge in and start to kick ass....

At least have your comanding Office smack your guys in the back of their heads with a piece of metal for sitting there and having flash backs when Hordes of Undead are attacking a few yards infront of them.
Edit - Jad is in control of the Ogres. He can either have them leave when they all die, or once the armor starts to break, then go (The Undead will have rocks on sticks or something).
And no Undead Ogre are at the south. They are chargin the main road, planning on destroying the wall. It's Kelen's problem.

Puh, Episode 2 isn't the best...
I have no personal favorite, though I am liking Episode 33 (But I can't quote it. Unless you've seen the rest of the episodes, it wouldn't be very funny).
Edit - Jad, just keep going until you want you to stop (All Ogres dead, none die but have to back away before casualties, some die). The zombies are just humans mostly (Maybe some elves or orcs), with rocks, sticks, and rocks on sticks (But in large masses, so the armor of the Dragoons will eventually start to dent, chip, and tear) And of course, friendly fire is a threat.

Episode 33... Oh crap, the new one is up!
And I just think that episode 2 sort of got everything right in it. And it had this dialouge.
"Gentleman, this is the M-12-LRV. I like to call it the Warthog." - Sarge
"Why Warthog, sir?" - Simmons
"Because M-12-LRV is to hard to say in conversation son." - Sarge
"No but, why Warthog? I mean, it doesn't really look like a pig." - Griff
"Say that again." - Sarge
"I think it looks more like a puma." - Griff
"What in sam hell is a puma?" - Sarge
"Uhh, you mean like the shoe company?" - Simmons
"No, like a puma. It's a big cat. Like a lion." - Griff
"You're makin' that up." - Sarge
"I'm telling you, it's a real animal!" - Griff
"Simmons, I want you to poison Griff's next meal." - Sarge
"Yes Sir!" - Simmons
"Look, see these two tow hooks? They look like tusks, and what kind of animal has tusks?" - Sarge
"... A walrus." - Griff
"Didn't I just tell you to stop makin' up animals?!" - Sarge
I would make it my Sig, but it's too large...

Ack, i can't decide what spell i should cast! I was thinking i'd just cast an overcharged Chain Lightning but then the thought struck me, Hey, you have an extra skill point, why not make it Ultimate Destruction and use that instead? The spell works great for Urd.
The problem is that Ultimate Destruction is, perhaps, too powerful. But that's the biggest damn lightning spell i can think of.
Basically I’ve been considering making my third skill one of these four things,
1. Far Sight - If you've played warcraft then you know what this is. If you haven't then you can guess.
2. Ultimate Destruction - Urd's most powerful lightning spell. From Ah! My Goddess.
3. Endurance Aura - Units within effect range have 10% decrease in damage taken, 10% increase in damage dealt, and a 20% increase in movement and attack speed.
4. Modify my skills to be more vague so that I may cast any wind and/or lightning spell within logical limits. This considers spell power, mana, time to cast, ect...

So THAT'S how it was going to be done... One of the original plans amongst the allies was we were just going to use the X-Zone Bomb to send Dante and Enerion to the X-Zone just to make sure Enerion was banished forever...

X-Zone wouldn't have worked against Deamon you know. Sending some one who can create his own portals to a X-plane via a portal doesn't really work.
Also, actually relating to this RP, Ogres = Bad. 100 pain free Ogres. That's like Blood Lusted Ogres, but without the power increase. And some of them are on fire, but it's not affecting them much in their Undead rage.
i havent been able to get on today until now and i was just wondering... In the rp thread when do the archers or have they already get to attack?

Since no one is an archer, they haven't been mentioned much. But, out of about 2500 units, they (Plus the trenches) have killed about 1000 of the Undead. They've been shooting this entire time, and are still shooting. Especially at the Ogres now.

X-Zone wouldn't have worked against Deamon you know. Sending some one who can create his own portals to a X-plane via a portal doesn't really work.
I don't remember him ever creating his own portals... The three options where basically:
1. Use X-Zone Bomb on Dante, battle Demon the normal way to beat him.
2. Use the X-Zone Bomb on Demon, then try to get Enerion out of Dante somehow, or just kill them both.
3. Use the X-Zone Bomb on the Demonic Portal itself, then wait for Dante and Demon to kick each other's asses and finish off the survivor.
We also where going to have an Ultima Cannon which was going to be the equivelent of the FFVII Sister Ray, or that one Super Cannon in Star Ocean: The Second Story.
And the last part (And the most Dues Ex-ish of the possibilities), was in the City of the Ancients, Dezil was going to get working an ancient machine that was used to try and turn Ancients into living Gods. It was part of the downfall of the race was that when this device was used the first time, it made an earthquake that almost destroyed the capital of the Ancients. Dezil would fix it to the best of his ability, use it again on himself to become super-powerful, but then the earthquake would cause the city to finally be destroyed, leading to a narrow escape for the team. Dezil could then take on either Dante or Demon individually with his new powers, although not both at the same time...
Also, actually relating to this RP
*Gasp* We're on topic again!
I am imagineing the Ogres to be somewhat like the Cave Troll from LOTR, only the undead ones are covered in rotting flesh... Thus, it is going to be a hard as battle to kill them all...

Elminster, how long is that sword? An Orge is at least six feet wide.

Well it is a Greatsword.
IHateMakingNames
05-12-2004, 06:49 PM
Which are about 51 inches(ish). That is not enough to go through an Ogre.

Quite frankly, it doesn't matter how big something is if it is going fast enough. Wood splinters in a tornado can go through steel.
If you want, give me the mass of the greatsword and I'll calculate its Momentum and Kinetic Energy.

I thought you said stabbed, not threw.
But, now you've lost that sword until the battle ends (That would not kill an Undead Ogre. Living Ogres can survive that), and why does a bard have a sword in the first place?
Also, splinters can't go through steel unless it's an extremely thin sheet of steel.

We're doing exceedingly bad...
Okay, I'm torn...do I charge the samurai over to help the breaching wall, knowing full well the ogres are likely to kill us, do I try to hold the wall, or do I desperately try to help out that other failing part?
Elminster_Amaur

Protection. Generally a bard is a jack-of-all-trades. They know how to do a lot of things, but they are normally only good at things related to music.
Edit: I thought the main road was the only failing section of road. And what is going on? I thought we had Trebuchees and Catapults.

1) No catapults. For one, there weren't any large rocks in the area (Other wise I would have pointed it out). Two, they are almost worthless since there were just going to be human zombies, the Ogres were a surpise.
2) How the hell does a catapult even just miss the walls that the Ogres are destroying and hit them? That doesn't even make sense.
3) They are destroying the wall, not climbing it. In fact, it breaks now.

Are the Samurai already to the wall, or have they not arrived yet?

May I present a plan because what we are doing right is not working. Pull the majority of the guarding the north and south areas around to the backside of the wall to catch the ogres as they go through the wall. Also pull all the mages and archers off the wall before we lose them all and put them somewhere useful. Here I have them in the camp but I’m not attached to that idea. Please note I have only altered our troops positions not the undead’s troops or anything else. That just out of laziness. If no one wants to use this plan then please think of another but we need a plan.
Edit: Sorry bout the low, low quality

IHateMakingNames

Most of the normal Undead are gone, and no longer a worry.
Edit - Also, move most of the archers and mages from the south towards the north, near the Undead Ogres.

Jad, two things.
1) Gato had his guy stop the 'boulder' from hitting Yama.
2) Yama could just catch the boulder thrown by the Undead Ogre that is weaker then him.
And remember my hint...
