I'm bored, I like to write, and it is within my power to do something about it, so I shall... Ooh, starting an RPG is like being a mod of my own little town . Anyways, I'm gonna start with my rules.
Rule number 1 - I reserve the right to have you change what you think happened in the story, should you deviate too far from the reality of my world (Or if you're just being retarded).
Rule 2 - I don't really care what happens other than that, in terms of plot, or characters, as long as it isn't too boring, or 'unclean'. But hey, lets try to keep things simple, such as race... Be a human... Please, it is more simple that way, I mean... How would an elf, an ogre, a dwarf and three purple bunnies decide to get together, and go slaying dragons? I'm not saying no other races, just... Not too many, and if there are any, keep them similar to human, like elf or something, and even then, not immortal elves. Oh yeah, you DON'T HAVE TO BE ALLIED WITH US. Feel free to be the evil genious who has plans to conquer our heroes. Just beware, you'll probably lose... But then, you might win, who knows?
Rule 3 - I don't want this to get huge. I don't want forty million people trying to progress the one story, because either it will take forever, it will get weird and messed up, or it will just lose interest in any number of ways. So, because of this, only some who post characters, or intentions of characters, will be chosen to participate. And don't think because you're first you'll get chosen either, I'll choose who gets in based on their attitude, the interest of their character, any number of things. Also, if you really want to join after it has started, send me a PM with your character, your intentions for that character, and how you think your character can join the rest of us.
Rule 4 - Rule 2 and 3 were long, so there is no rule 4
Rule 5 - Be creative, draw on your experience... Mix things from different games you've played, books you've read, and create new things from them. Have fun with it, but don't make fun of it.
So now, I'll get into what this is all about. The world is very similar to the world of Final Fantasy 6, in terms of its level of technology. (No chocobos though, unless you really feel that you'll die without one, and even then... This ISN'T an FF world, so... no). Magic does exist, but it is rare, and some have never even seen it. Technology is the preferred ideal. Airships exist, though they are expensive, and not very practical for the common people. Ships and trains are preferred methods of travel, no cars. Other than that, I don't want to limit this, so there are no set towns, no set caves, oceans, lakes, old men hiding in the forests, anything. There also, really, is no set main plot, though I'll start us off, but again, I'll let our collective imaginations create that as we go, I assume some of you will come up with things as we go that are better than I can think of right now anyways. What else... Oh yeah, when you post your character, give them...
A Name
Short Background info
Physical Description
'Inventory', though don't bother to be too specific. A med kit is all we need, not "My med kit is a med kit 200, that can cure this and that......"
What Training and experience your character has. Keep in mind though, that we will be adventuring, not making pottery in art class.
Alright this is getting long... See, I told you I like to write... So, I'll finish up with my character, and the beginnings of the plot. If this isn't for you, then... Well, feel free to do something else.
Name: Felce Albero
Background: An 18 year old, who has been playing with swords for as long as he has known. He has an older brother named Quercia, who he calls Kurse, who is 21. Felce has very limited magical powers to control wind, and he uses them while fighting, to knock an opponent off balance, block an arrow etc. He has come to this Pirate Town in search of companions to go in search of treasure with, he was given an old treasure map by his older brother, and he hopes to find said treasure. (See, I told you you could come up with something better, so cliche-ish)
Description: Unshaved, but not bearded, long brown hair, about six feet tall. Wear's a White cape over a Blue shirt, and he has two swords. One was his dead father's, the other was a gift from his brother. His father's sword, named Wyrm Tongue, has a platinum hilt shaped like a dragon, with runes along the chromium blade. His brother's gift is named Kurse, and has a black hilt with an emblem of two crossing scythes, with a deep green blade. It was the match of a dagger his brother carried, and when placed in water the blade would point to his brother's dagger. He also wears a black hat that looks like Red Mage's, just without the feather. The hat also used to belong to his brother.
Inventory: Well, I've basically already said everything. He has a small waist pack in which he carries his food, water, flute, and some money. Oh yeah, and the map. He is fairly well off... He owns a ship, with which he hopes to find this treasure. He has this wealth because he and his brother were succesful treasure seekers previously. This is his first time without him though.
Training: Is fairly experienced with wielding two swords. As a kid, he used to play with his friends, and he could beat them all. He started his first real adventure when he was 14 though, with his older brother. He gained a mentor on that first journey, and under the tutelage of Leon McKoras he learned how to survive in a fight. That, with his self-taught magical skill makes him a formidal opponent, even though he is only 18.
The plot so far:
Felce arrived in town via his ship. He went into a bar, to look for people who would make fine adventuring companions. He meets many people, but not everyone makes the cut. After about a week, he has chosen his companions, and they set sail following the directions on the map.
So, the question now is, who recieves Felce's approval?

I like you, kid. For a new face, you seem pretty bright. I think I'm going to make a character in a second here. A pirate, I'm thinking. I'm lazy though, so expect it to suck for a little bit. I'm just tossing out the idea right now, which I'll refine in a bit (mainly the background and description suffer). Especially the background.
Name: Rue Calotropis.
Background: Rue was born on a pirate ship to a pirate wench. Was raised on a pirate ship by a pirate crew. Spent his adolesence hopping from pirate ship to pirate ship, and is now a full grown adult pirate. He currently happens to be out a crew, however, due to them being caught by the law, and is on the look out for a new ship and crew to travel the oceans and rob merchant vessels, hunt for hidden treasure, you know, piratey things.
Physical Description: Rue's an attractive curr, but still a curr. He has a bit of stubble on his boyish face, and is generally somewhat dirty, wearing usually stained clothing.
Speaking of his clothing: he usually wears a leather vest of some sort, with a long sleeved shirt--with 'poofy' or low hanging wrists that allow him to hide his cards easily, a pair of leather gloves, leather flat-bottom boots, and some straight slacks.
He's also somewhat thin, weighing in at about 135 with a height of 5'8". Most of that meager weight is muscle, however, so he's not really weak, just wiry.
Inventory: A completely average rapier on his belt that he often claims he got 'from the queen herself,' of course he never mentions which queen. He also carries a knife in his boot, some lockpicks in his vest, and a couple of decks of cards on his person (one in each sleeve to be exact) for cheating at cards.
Training: Rue is an expert when it comes to drinking games. When I say "drinking games" I actually mean "cheating at drinking games," for that matter he's also an expert at 'poker,' 'blackjack,' 'go fish,' and any other game that people routinely bet money on, he can make money by being unscrupulous with (such as robbing passed out people after a drinking game) or that allow him to impress the ladies.
Beyond that, he's a thief trained in picking pockets and locks and palming (for those not in the know, that's picking something up from a stand, table, floor, etc. without being seen doing so) items, a decent swordsman, a decent boatsman, and--although this isn't technically a 'skill' that he's been 'trained' in--has ludicriously potent luck, both good and bad. For example, he may escape from a single naval ship in his pirate boat only to run into the entire fleet a few minutes later, end up in their hold, and then have a cannon ball fly through the wall, hit the door to his cell, and allow for his escape.
And, lastly, he can pilot mostly anything, to a limited degree. It's mostly all guesswork, but he can usually get it to move how and where he wants it to, if roughly, after a few minutes. Just something one picks up after stealing enough vehicles.

Nooo, you haven't seen my answer to Dante yet. Janus Eternion, Planeswalking Mage... He is normally a good guy, but I had a plot idea if I write a full fledged story about him where he could face his Evil side in one of the Planes he visits... Perhaps his Evil side will take up Planeswalking as well...

I'm thinking of joining. Maybe I'll go with an idea I had a whiles ago; insane, oft-homicidal Druid. Certainly will be different from the insane, oft-homicidal Black MAge...

Name: Tobias
Age: 41
Background: A peasant who knows little more than how to fight (which he's very good at), Tobias is a retired soldier who worked as a lumberjack for 10 years. Too eager for his own good, he couldn't resist the lure of adventure. All his years of fighting and cutting down trees have made him very skilled at swinging and fighting with an axe and given him a very formidable physique. He prefers to use vulgar, somewhat crude tactics in battle (like groin kicks) to gain the upper hand. He's trustworthy, loyal, and will fight any enemy to the death for his companions.
Physical Description: 6' 7" Tobias is a very large person, with a very distinct scar running down the middle of his face, making it look sewn together. He has cold, piercing, unblinking, ice blue eyes, making him look like a machine with human skin. He wears a large vest, breeches, and steel-toed leather boots. He has a very large axe in a case slung over his shoulder, which is his most prized possession. He's now also an author, who writes logs of his adventures.
Inventory: Log: Volume 16, standard med kit
Training: After fighting 7 wars, Tobias has a great deal of military experience behind him. He's mostly self-taught, but had a master who showed him the finer points of axe fighting.

Name: Tsuruchi Takezato
Background: Takezato is a bounty hunter of the Wasp(Tsuruchi) Clan, named after the legendary Tsuruchi, the man who defied two of the Great Clans, the Scorpion and the Lion, to make his own destiny.
The Wasp Clan are to a man professional bounty hunters, unconcerned with such niceties as guilt or innocence. All they do is accept bounties, and when they do, they swear an oath to bring the bounty back, dead or alive. The Wasp take this oath very seriously - many a mark has offered vast sums, or other valuables to the Wasp who has come for him. The Wasp take great pride in rejecting these bribes before putting an arrow through him.
Takezato is one such man, though he hasn't been journeying enough to become the dedicated, self-guided weapons his fellows have trained themselves into. At 25, he is still rather young, though he is every bit as efficient a hunter as any of his clanmates. He has taken a break from bounty-hunting to go on a musha shugyo, a warrior pilgrimage, during which he hopes to internalize the lessons of Tsuruchi. His travels have taken him a long way from home, and he carries with him the stories of his homeland, the pride of the Wasp and the hunger for justice.
Physical Description: A tanned Asian man, with a bow on his back and dressed in a travelling kimono. Usually wears a jingasa (conical straw hat) to keep the sun off his head and to hide his face, He smiles easily, though not when he is on a mission.
Inventory: His (well-made) bow, a quiver of arrows, a reinforced breastplate with the mon of the Wasp on it, travelling pack, outdoor gear, fletchery kit, knife, and a small purse of gold.
Training: As a bounty hunter, Takezato is trained in tracking, wilderness survival, the law, spotting and disguise, as well as jiujutsu for unarmed combat. As an archer, he is a student of the Tsuruchi Archer School, the legendary school of kyujutsu said to be the deadliest in the Emerald Empire. The Wasp is also famous for the quality of its arrows, and Takezato is no exception to the rule that every Wasp must be an excellent fletcher as well as a bowyer.
The Tsuruchi Archer School's teachings can be grouped into five broad stages, each of which has a special technique assigned to it. Takezato has learned up to the third technique, The Arrow Knows The Way.
He is also skilled in singing and storytelling, and makes a living for himself during his pilgrimage with these talents from time to time.
Quote: "True justice knows the way."

(This is assuming magic is also feared, seeing as a lot of people haven’t even seen it, usually new things scare societies)
Name: Guy Moralgul
Background: Guy was raised alone, far of in the woods. His father was a wizard, and his mother died shortly after giving birth to Guy. In the wilds Guy was raised by his father, who always told Guy stories of how he was abused and attacked out of fear for his magic, which scared the living shit out of Guy. When Guy was 19, his father died from old age. Taking his fathers magic book, Guy began to travel around the world, looking for a new home. He has yet to find one.
When he encounters people, Guy often tells them he is a traveling scholar. Most people buy it.
Description: http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/8400/Mage.jpg
Inventory: His fathers magic book, robes, a ring, a pen, and supplies for living in the wild.
Training: Guy was trained in the ways of dark magic by his father. Outside of his training though, Guy rarely uses his magic, in fear that some ignorant red neck locals from some place will come and attack him. The book is in another language, so Guy had to learn that language, though he is not very good at it, which makes casting some of the more powerful spells much harder.
His spells are usually basic fire ball, icicle, thunder type spells, though he can do curses and other random magic things. If you want, I can make a list of his basic magic spells (Ones I will use most often) and what they do, as well as how draining they are.

Ah, a chance to scratch my itch...
Name: Koji
Background: Koji was found at a very young age after his parents died in a landslide. A kind old monk took him into their monestary. There, he became who he is today. Generally, he was near the top of his classes with two or three people being able to beat him.
Description: Fairly tall, and built about average. Light beige pants, that are really baggy. Shin high boots. Then, a red overcoat that's closed by thick black straps. Completely bald, no beard. Well tanned. Bag slung over shoulder
Inventory: He has a bag which contains his old monastery uniform, and another jacket. Also in there are some incense, and some tinder and stuff so he can light it.
Training: Think the equivalent of a shaolin monk, just a bit more academic. Just from who he is, he's well versed in a few different languages, and is in tune with nature, hence why he doesn't carry survival supplies. This also bleeds over into his fighting. While he is an excellent unarmed fighter on his own, nature also conspires to help him. Basically, kinda' corny stuff like the air warning him, or the ground lending its power to the air when he jumps. Effect? He can seemingly jump up to three times, once off the ground, the rest in the air, and he seems to have a sixth sense to where blows are coming from. Still up to him to react to it though.
Oh, and he CAN use weapons quite well, but as part of his little code of honor dealy, the weapon needs to have drawn blood from him before he can use it. The code also makes him disturbingly happy and calm usually. Apparently he's "enlightened" so he never seems to overreact. Like that scary Monk from Bulletproof monk.

Hey, this looks a pretty gewd. I'll throw my hand in.
Name: Thunder Dragoon
Background: A most mysterious character only know for his amazing mercenary skills. Known to be of elven discent, he wanders the world, only to find pleasure in the difficulty of his missions. Will work with anyone for any price, as long as he gets to slay monsters.
Description: A tall elf with long, flowing silver hair, hidden beneath his green, dragon shaped helm. He sports a few scars on his face and he tends to hide his greenish-blue eyes under the helmas well. He has buff red and purple armor streching from his neck to his knees. He straps a red cape around his neck which flows down to his ankles. His arms bore green guantlents with spikes protruding from the knuckles. He has worn down diamond boots, his most expensive armor which allow him light and quick speed.
Inventory: Other than his bag of gold, he has a long yellowish-silver spear strapped to his back, and tucked away at his waist is a sheathed sword, rumored to be a firebrand. He has three golden rings on his hands and a silver pendent also around his neck, which gives him the power to preform huge leaps into the air. The four trinklents are rumored to have been given him by his now slain parents, who were once high elves in the olden days.
Training: He is deadly in the arts of the seven sacred sword techniques. His power with the sword is only surpassed by his abilities with his spear. He has been trained in the dark spear arts which enable him to become demon-like with the weapon. Those who have seen him wield the spear are usually never seen again.
Although Thunder Dragoon (TD as I like to call him) seems evil, as long as you get him on his good side, he is a powerful ally. And remember, although he is powerful, he still is no god. For now......

Alright, well, just so you know I've been checking all the time to see who has posted what, just this morning I was busy. I only started the thread yesterday afternoon/evening, so I think your thoughts of me being "Unprepared" are unfounded. Let me attempt to boost your confidence a bit with some personal history. I may be new to THESE forums, but I have participated in these Online RPGs before. Everytime it was my turn to post, I had everything ready to go, and within a day TOPS my post was up. Now, back to why I haven't said all that much... I was letting it grow. Letting people decide on characters, letting other people get their ideas in. What was I supposed to post anyways? "Good job" "I like your character" "I'm getting excited! ooooooh"? Such posts are... in my opinion useless. Anyways, I accidently pushed the back button, and so this is the second time I've written this, so I'm just gonna get onto what I think so far...
Krylo - I think your character is good, and fits into what little theme I have well.
Zweihander - For the love of all that is under the light, no Homocidal Druids, PLEASE.
Jaguar - I like your character too. Every ship needs its grizzled old man.
JADGuy - Blacksmith? I don't think your part would be very big in the RPG, unless you managed to like, get work on my ship. However, I've never heard of a water-borne forge... so...
BMHadoken - While the world would probably have its few necromancers, they would be so amazingly rare, that finding one in any town, without destruction being wreaked, would be... Unfathomably unlikely.
Dante - I like your character too. While I don't think Felce and Tsuruchi would get along well at first, not everyone has to get along, so that doesn't exclude you from the RPG, especially cause your character is well developed.
IHateMakingNames - Your 'mage' rocks man. Seriously, it fits into the idea I had of this world so well. Plus your picture rocks, where is it from?
SuperSaiyan - Nothign wrong with your character, just I don't really see his nature-lovingness, or his enlightenment really contributing to someone who is looking for adventure and treasure... That being said, I like the description of his abilities though... Maybe add some more background info? Like why he would want to go on my voyage etc.
Zweihander again - Yes, there would be firearms. Not commonly used, and not commonly made, but yeah. Thinking like, Bushido blade II, most people use their swords and whatnot, but occasionally there is a gunslinger, so feel free to expand on that idea. And thanks for dropping the Druid thing...
And finally, as I was posting videogamerz2000 posted - Nice description, nice character and all, my only problem is... Thunder Dragoon? Thunder Dragoon, it's not much of a NAME is it? Like... The Dragoon last name I can understand but... Thunder just isn't a real name, as I see it...
So yeah, I will check often. I checked this morning, at 8:40 before I left, and at 2:00 when I got back home, just for those of you who want to know...

Aww come on, those are the best types. They are evil, just for the inherent rush of inflicting pain on others, and because they have the power to do so. They slay towns, butcher enemies, and lay waste only because they are strong enough that no one can tell them otherwise, and they get a sick rush of excitement from that. The others are hokey jokes, that come up with insanely complex plans to achive their half-assed, generally stupid/cliche goals, and 99% of the time fail anyway.
Could I make an insane eveil one if he had an actual goal in the story and just wasn't running around killing randomly?

Anyway's I'm going to start off in the game.
The rain fell hard that night. The town was all asleep except for the candle lit bar near the edge of town. A musk smell fills your nose once you enter the bar. In the corner, a lone figure sits and drinks rum out of a frosty mug. The fans overhead slowly twist around in circles. The bartender wipes the counter and the last of the customers, drunkily, exit the bar. The bartender whispers over to the waitress "Who's that guy over there?". The waitress answers "None really know". They just leave him there, filling up his mug once in a while, as he coldly stares into space.

With all this evil talk, I'm tempted to have my guy go into a town, get attacked because some one realizes he is a mage and they fear him, get the shit kicked out of him, then later after being thrown into a ditch presumed to be dead, he heals up and while looking through his magic book, finds a spell to summon a demon to do his bidding, which would begin the evilness.

Ok, looks like some people are restless... And want to get going. I guess... But I'd like to point out that this is merely the signups thread, and that I will start the game. I AM ALL POWERFUL! Remember that... :D

As morning dawns, the lone figure sets out into the forest trail. While everyone else is bickering about who destroys the world or not, Scott the "Thunder" Dragoon sets out to find a mission to quench his blood thirsty soul. He traverses down the path only to meet a group of quarling figures...

ARGH! Not the return of Demon!
EDIT: Will you stop that, the RP isn't even started yet. Sheesh.

I think it would work best if me and FZ were both henchmans to the as-of-yet unnamed First Bad Guy, and were appointed as his scavanger/salvagers, basically gophers, which makes us kinda pissed off, so were always looking for the best way to get more powerfuller than him.
Then when First Bad Guy gets defeated, one of us rises to power, then gets defeated by the other one, then the first teams up with the good guys, then we tackle the last guy...
Or Yep, then by the end, no one will have any idea who the hell is the "Main" evil, and everyone will just be trying to kill everyone else... Until we all argue about how everyone is going to kill everyone, then everyone quits...
And videogamerz, calm down, its just the signup...

I could go with that, although perhaps to set the stage, the Big Boss has us competing against each other to get the treasure and take out the heros. Lets us use our own style, IE You might be a necromancer, and thus make zombie hordes and bone giants attack the good guys, while my guy is more direct and would just show up and blow stuff up until the good guys are defeated or he is forced to retreat.
If you want an example of a rivalry that is almost just like that, Darth Vader and Xizor. Both were always at each others throats, and fighting to carry out the Emperor's orders faster and better then the other.

FZ, stop reminding me how bad a nerd I am. I have no clue what a Xizor is, and since it wasnt in the movies, I'll never know...*sob*, thanks for reminding me.

Ok, NO MORE POSTS HERE. I am gonna start this up, in a new thread, which I will call something like "Light's Warrior's Pirate RPG" ok? For goodness sakes... Anyways, I'm just gonna list who is in right now (Of those who have created characters):
Me, Felce Albero
Rue Calotropis (I think Krylo)
Tobias (Jaguar)
Tsuruchi Takezato (Dante)
Guy Moralgul (I forget who)
Koji (Again I forget who, and again, needs more background)
Thunder Dragoon (videogamerz2000, if he can calm down a little bit) EDIT: Ok, no Thunder Dragoon, and most likely good riddance... A little patience goes a long way
And that necromancer, who I still haven't seen a character for.
My only remaining question is, should we do this like turn based (Each person does a section of the story in order) or like, randomly do stuff that might contradict eachother and screw everything up? My vote is for turn based, and so if you'll give me a few minutes, I'll start up that other thread...

OOC: Don't sign up for the new RPG thingy at the top of the list (currently). They're so disorganized that it boggles the mind.
.
Heh, silly fool... And coming from the idiot god mod thread, that just makes it even funnier.
Also, BM, I have no idea who Xizor is either, so you're not the only bad nerd here. I'm assuming it's that one really old guy.
Edit -
Guy Moralgul (I forget who)
Me.
Edit dos -
Turn based story? Story is supposed to be GM (You)'s problem, not the players. Players just direct the story, GM chooses it.

He seems to be.
Xizor is a reptillian humanoid (Like Bossk, but with a human face) from the Star Wars book Shadows of the Empire. It takes place between Empire and Return. Basically, Darth Vader is the Emporer's right hand man, but Xizor is one step below Vader for chain of command. Xizor works by manipulating things in the background, sending assassins, arranging "Accidents", and being a sneaky and calculating bastard. Vader on the other hand basically (As is shown in the movies) shows up, kills everyone, and keeps killing (Friend and foe...) until his objective is achived. In the book, they are constantly battleing each other to try and do the Emporer's wishes faster and better. In the end Vader wins when he goes to the Starbase Xizor is on and blows the whole thing up for failing the Emperor one time too many...

If you're going to make enemies on this forum, don't add IHMN to the list. He's the one who's around most often, and he can make your life living misery if he wants to .
And it's true, Calvinball does get rather ridiculous at times. I didn't bother mentioning it just to be polite, but now that he brought it up, why not add my two cents?

Turn-based meant that I start it off, then the next person adds their piece and it goes around till it gets back to me, and I do my thing, it goes around again etc. Basically it elminates the chance of two people posting at the same time, saying opposite things are happening. And story up to me to a point yes, but if I do everything why do I need all of you guys? Why don't I just write myself a book? Anyways, I'm gonna go start this up... And we'll see what happens, I guess. The turn order, unless someone has some sort of problem with it, will be:
Me, Rue, Tobias, Tsuruchi, Guy, Koji, Thunder, and the Necromancer if he ever gets created. That is for when we get going... For everyone's first post, just describe how you got here, and why. For the first post, I don't much care for the order... But, after tha I ask that we keep to it, unless there is a good reason. Allow people a day to post when it is their turn, before you skip 'em... And hopefully we'll all get along in super-fun-happy land.

BM (When he isn't grounded), FZ, krylo, and Jad are usually on as often and I am. krylo is hidden though, so it's hard to tell.
Also, the fact that this guy (http://forum.nuklearpower.com/member.php?userid=2692) and this guy (http://forum.nuklearpower.com/member.php?userid=2995) post in the Calvinball thread brings it's worth down just by themselves.
Edit - Turn based posting? No one will argee with that. For one, you can't talk to anyone since you'd have to wait a day to respond to a sentence, and if something is going on that you want to react to but can't because it's not your turn will just be annoying to the point where it isn't worth it.
Edit 2 - ANd I meant that the GM keeps the basic plot, but allows changes in it if the players are doing something different then you assumed they would, so you change the story to fit that. You basically have a beginning, middle, and end, then the players choose how to get to those points (And possibly change them).

If JAD were here, and CJ were here, the fighting would start on page 1 of thread 1, and they'd end the final battle of the RP with IHMN defecating on JAD's corpse and JAD's ghosts trying to rip IHMN's balls off.

No, that's only if CJ GMs the RP, and then IHMN and Jad are both in it... Ironically enough, they are civilized in other RPs they are in together...

Jeez... Work sucks more than I thought. I get back and have to read through 68 posts.
Anyway...
Turn based: Nah. Just let people post as they like. It's pretty rare that people post two things at the same time and miss each other, anyway... and when they do, we just go to the discussion thread and delete one post or the other, after deciding what is best.
Also, with me having a job now, it's best not to leave story development up to me with any kind of structuring. A lot of the time I'm going to be working, or just too tired from all the manual labor to think of something beyond reacting to the story.
And, letting it be more 'free form' instead of turns, allows people to react to each other without someone else having to come in. Like... say your character is fencing FZ's. However, my character has his turn in the intermediate, but my character isn't really doing much of anything. Then it has to wait and go on until you two can 'fence' some more.
Not to mention we'd have to keep track of the turns. Just easier to let everyone post when they wish instead of in turns.
Also, This sign-up isn't crazy at all. We haven't even begun discussing FZ getting a blow job while the four horseman of the apocolypse fly out of his ass, a meteor is heading toward earth, the moon is falling out of orbit, and the sun is exploding.

Yeah... I just have high expectations... Plus, I've done the turn based thing before and it worked for me, but... Whatever, you make good points. Just... Don't try to dominate the whole thing, I guess... Man, all the posting today made me forget half of the stuff I had in my original post, and like, all of my ideas I had are gone...
