Brian,

This morning I donated $50.00 USD to the How I Killed Your Master Donation Drive. I'm proud to do this. I've donated to other webcomic authors and charities before - Real Life, Speed Gamers, etc. and bought several shirts and other pieces of merchandise from other authors as well, QC, Life of Riley, CAD, and including Atomic Robo. There are others who feel this way, but it appears they're not always in the visible majority.

So, it's nice to be able to support a piece of work like this, and help with the authors everyday life. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that we hope the work continues, and we hope this provides some incentive to start merchandising if the donations are enough.

I'm sorry, Matt, but that $50 came out of your commission fund... I'll start putting more cash away for that. :D

Eventually I'm going to get some art from you, sir. I'm moving in January, but once those expenses are done with I'll need to add some new flavor to the walls. Maybe if the Holidays are good to me that will come sooner rather than later.

I do plan on being 'creative' with what I request. Should be fun. :p

What would you rather happen? I convince Jeff and Matt to work for less than they are, which is already less than they deserve? I shut down HIKYM for a few months? Or I attempt to distribute the costs among many people so the costs are trivial to everyone involved?

Thanks to everyone who donated! I'm amazed that we hit the mark as fast as we did. When this donation idea was cooked up, I was afraid that we would hardly get anything, but that we got what we did as fast as we did is very encouraging.

I've got to get something worked up for a wallpaper now. I still have the Red Mage one on my schedule, but I won't use him for this bonus thingy. That'd seem like a cheat. So I'll probably instead make one of Wong since he hasn't had a pic yet.

What I thought was especially cool was today's Dollar/Euro exchange rate because I could donate an amount that felt like "yep, pretty good donation" in Dollars but like peanuts in Euro.

(Every Euro given arrived as $1.50 on Brian's account, so.)

Just annoying that it takes 4-6 days from the money to get from my bank account to my paypal account. It's still pending atm.
