After this I'm done for the day on making stuff, promise. I just thought I'd pass this along (http://www.salon.com/mwt/feature/2009/10/25/secret_diary_sarah_palins_ghostwriter/).

Lynn Vincent made headlines when she was selected as the ghostwriter for Sarah Palin's soon-to-be-bestselling memoir, "Going Rogue." As an editor at the Christian World magazine, Vincent has railed against abortion rights, gay marriage and the theory of evolution. She is also the coauthor of the book "Donkey Cons," which purports to prove, among other claims, "how Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, and John F. Kennedy were elected with the help of the mob." Her coauthor on that book, Robert Stacey McCain (no relation to John McCain) has spoken out against interracial marriage.

Salon recently obtained this private diary, which we publish here in excerpted form.

This is a cute read, really. It was fun to come across this after listening on MSNBC last night how her daughter's baby-daddy is speaking out that he has lots of dirt on Palin in some attempt to milk the spotlight time some more.

EDIT: After reading it more this is like some crazy Sarah Palin FanFic. I'm sufficiently creped out now.

To clarify, because I'm not sure if you noticed, this is marked as a satire. Makes it significantly less creepy.

I don't see where it's marked as satire.
But it certainly looks like it.

Is it me, or is this thing laced with a ton of homoeroticism? Seriously, the writer sounds totally gay for Sarah and I just have to wonder if this isn't secretly some Stephanie Meyer wannabe who doesn't know it yet. Not that Meyer does the gay thing that I know of, but the entire thing is laced with the all-too-perfect kind of creepy thing I picked up on while my brother and his girlfriend at the time were reading Twilight to each other. I can totally imagine the cover of the book having Palin in in a white gown in a white room on a white bed half-hidden by white, gossamer curtains in the foreground with gilded calligraphy for the title.

And a free copy of Nailin' Palin for people who pre-ordered it.

As long as CJ doesn't make fanart for it we'll be fine.

Man, I just put all my heartblood into drawing something, but now I wont post it, because I don't want to be considered an imp by everyone >:(

Post it anyway, I'll forgive you as long as it's not too scaring.

That reminds me of the gnome from the D&D 4th Ed videos. She needs a badger minion.

EDIT: A great Alaskan Badger.

The thing I most wonder about is how they came up with a bevy of the worst possible names for your children ever. When the one that seems closest to normality is "Willow", previously attached to a hobbit in a children's fantasy movie (with Val Kilmer headlining, no less), you have a definite problem with choosing names. And to screw it up so many times? Unbelievable. Let's do a comparison between her and a few Hollywood celebrities:

Robert Rodriguez:
Rocket and Racer. At least these names are alliterative, so they sound okay, even if they are completely ridiculous. At least you can pretend Rocket Rodriguez is a nickname or something.

Gwyneth Paltrow:
Apple. This is pretty horrible, but it's only one horrible name. There is room for improvement, time left to pull herself back from the brink.

Sarah and Todd Palin:

Track.
Bristol.
Willow.
Piper.
Trigger.

There...there is no salvation here. This is a life of crime against good taste. A repeat offense carried beyond all reason, through the lives of five children. It may echo for generations if they decide to name their children after themselves, or carry on the legacy of naming children by pointing at random words and places in the dictionary.

I can get behind Piper Palin. That's got a decent ring to it. A little 1950's-ish, but it's not terrible.

that really looks like a list of names that should contain Earnhardt, Ford, and Boomhauer

Knowing the Palin's Track-record (haha) they would name the kid 3 instead of Earnhardt.

That ain't Palin on 30 rock. That's Tina Fey.

Way to have the joke go over your head.

Tina Fey's impressions of Palin have made her more synonymous with the "character" of Palin than Palin herself. It's kind of like when Lewis Black auditioned to play himself in a sitcom but they chose an actor who apparently did a better impression of himself than himself.
