Atomic Robo's first online only comic! (http://www.nuklearpower.com/2009/09/28/the-yonkers-devil-1-of-7/) And who's that handsome guy in the cramped space?

Only see one page. You doing this a page a day?
So far, I like the design of the creature.

"...we’re bringing you seven all-new, all-different, all-exclusive pages of Atomic Robo action next week — one per day!" (http://www.nuklearpower.com/2009/09/26/atomic-power/)

Wow. Right there on the front page. Now off to commit seppuku for bein' so obtuse. Anyone got a sword or something similar?
I'll take a steak knife. Anything. Anyone? ....no?
Your avatar really injects some disapproval into that post. I'm just used to things like the Free Comic Book Day where it's all posted at once.

Yeah, my new avatar makes everything I say look totally bitchy. It's great :D

I'll take a steak knife. Anything. Anyone? ....no?Actually I do.
Just make sure you wipe the blood off before you're done dying.

I'd steal it, but after so many years of the skull I just wouldn't feel right changing.

Why you always gotta be tearin' up NY, dawg?
Also, I am making it my mission to find a way to use "tactically significant location" in everyday conversation.
That dude in the goggles looks like Emerson Wild.
And he would appear to be hunting a monster.
Hmmm.

Very observant, here's a cookie.
I like where this comic is going already. Nice Yellow Devil monster =P.

At first I thought it was Nikola Tesla's lab, but then I saw it wasn't. EW cameo is still pretty cool. Looks like the kind of guy that would have his own web series.
By the way, about that web series...

An Emerson Wild and Atomic Robo crossover?
Possibly one of the most awesome things ever.

So wait, are you slowly building you're own universe? Are the events of HIKYM historical events in the ROBO-verse?

No.
Technically this is just some modern day independent adventurer dude whom Robo knows. It is a coincidence that he looks, acts, and speaks Emerson Wild and hunts monsters.

Good.
I thought you building a comic-verse would be strange, considering you're well documented hatred of them, or at least how the big two have handled their universes for the last 50 years.

Technically, aren't you making a comicverse by even having Robo there, doing anything?

If Robo wasn't there, that thing would kill us all. If it didn't get bored and walk away.

And that's how Atomic Robo became Atomic Robo the chew toy. And everyone (well Emerson, kinda) lived happily ever after.
The End. Forever, no more Robo for you.
...
I gotta wonder if the Yonkers Devil eats metal or something. I mean, last I knew metal isn't either the tastiest substance or something that makes a great chew toy, even for something that big.

I don't know whose idea it was to include the "Nom nom nom" bit in, but it made me laugh.

I like that Robo seems to enter this scenario with his usual "Pfah, relax, I got this under control" bit right before running the hell away like Emerson had been suggesting for the last hour.
It seems less like Emerson Wild getting into Robo and more like Robo getting into Emerson Wild, but in comic form, which I guess negates both of them out, but the point is there's less beating around bad guys and more comic misadventures with bigass creatures, which fits pretty well (since I doubt Emerson's good at close-quarters Nazi bludgeoning).

If we do not get more of EW + Robo at some point in the future, I will be disappointed. The two seem like they would have a hilarious group dynamo.

Emerson does realize that that statement is about the only thing in the universe that can guarantee that they are, in fact, not safe now.
My prediction, the monster's mommy appears. And then it ends. Jerk.
EDIT: Ok, that was a good ending. Great one all around. Thanks for the online Robo.

I doubt this is the last we'll see of online Robo, what with that monster running off to fuck up Westchester.
That said, this would serve as an awesome opening comic to a series of five, were he to do one online. I would say convert it to print, but it's only seven pages. It seemed like more since it took a week to post the whole thing.

Granted, if there was ever a universe, comic or otherwise, that wasn't up it's own ass with rewrites, killing, coming back to life, then re-killing AND decided not to throw any mention of continuity into a meat grinder and grilled into an all-new, steaming pile of "Here it is, brand-spanking new. What? No, that never happened. Oh, well there was that one time. How about you read our new story while we get to work on that. See! Now he has a bionic penis. Yeah, kids love robots these days. I'm sure you've forgotten all about that other thing. Oh, nothing, keep reading and here's fully pose-able action figure."
Yeah, I bet you could pull that off.

There will be other sightings of The Yonkers Devil. Online or in print, hard to say. Emerson may or may not be involved in those tales as well.

I promise you as long as I'm alive there will never be a reboot or retcon of the Roboverse.

So as of right now the Yonker's Devil is the most recent Robo story in the context of time.
What I was wondering if you have any plans to do a Robo story set at any point in the future? Or do you draw the line at the present?
Also, I thought it was hilarious and I hope you can manage to get some more Robo up on the main site...
Because believe me when I say I am not just sucking up, but Robo has basically rekindled the thought that comics can actually be fun for me.

Nope, we'll never do a story in the future.

Glad to be of service!
