I don't pay attention to everything on TV. I caught Burn Notice by accident but the idea of a sarcastic spy that got burned intrigued me. So it turned out to be a great series. Especially because I liked Evil Dead star Bruce Campbell which sold me.

Entourage happens to be a great show. The reason I like it?

Ari is an asshole (http://forum.nuklearpower.com/showpost.php?p=968774&postcount=103).

Basically, if there's a good show, there must be a reason to watch it. Seeing him own on his wife AND the therapist (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5uC3HXNm28&feature=related) is a bonus.

Ari Gold is the best thing to happen to TV since the first picture tube was invented.

I like this show called Peep Show (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0387764/) a lot. And I mean a lot. The fundamental reason is simple: It makes me laugh, like really laugh out loud by myself.

EDIT: This was about sharing which shows we like/love and why, right?

Why did I like Who Wants to be a Superhero you ask? Two Words: Major Victory.

http://z.about.com/d/realitytv/1/0/c/t/MajorVictory.jpg

This man put the right amount of serious drama and campy comedy into his performance that even though it was a forgone conclusion that he was scripted to lose to the Stan Lee fangasm that was Feedback, I was generally pissed that he did not make it to the final two at the end of the show. Over all this is the only show remotely connected to the realm of "reality television" that I have ever bothered to watch from start to finish.

Other than that the thing that draws me to most of the shows that I watch are the characters. It's one of the reasons that I'm really starting to get angry with SyFy since they seem to only have about six stable actors that they like to shuffle around between the four or five major science fiction series that they have showing at any one time.

You like Entourage because it is Sex and the City for dudes. Let the truth set you free.

There is a term I heard used in relation to another show which basically sums up why I love Burn Notice so hard and that term is "competence porn". 87.9% of that show is like determining objectives and planning tactical maneuvers and executing reconnaisance determinations and readjusting to incorporate developing strategic factors and improvising laterally adaptive maneuvers and OH GOD YES BABY JUST LIKE THAT.

And then the other 12.1% is Bruce Campbell and well, there you are.

This Burn Notice show is starting to intrigue me.

Burn Notice is that wonderful thrill you get when you take a class and it turns out the teacher is a really cool guy who knows his subject backwards and forwards and is really good at explaining it to people, except that in this case the class is explosions, gunfire and lying to people.

And Bruce Campbell.

Anwar really sells the show as well. Crazy gun chick that has more C4 in her back pocket than a small platoon of Marines can always sell a show.

Yep.

I am currently obtaining Burn Notice Season 1.

In the mean time, I highly suggest you check out Peep Show, and the original british version. Oh how I hate those american remakes.

Entourage is probably the best comedy that has ever aired. Ari Gold may be a dick but gets things done efficiently. His license plate reads ARISFERARI for gods sake!

True Blood kicks ass but it is in no way anywhere near the greatness that is Dexter, best show on TV.

Heroes is... I just have to watch it and I do not know why. Help?

Scrubs is great because it takes the kind of surreal comedy Family Guy tends to flop with, puts it into live action, and pulls it off beautifully while still maintaining a coherent storyline.

And I'm gonna add a vote to Burn Notice. Thanks for reminding me, I'm gonna go watch some of the Season 3 episodes now.

Sadly, I can quote Scrubs perfectly when its on. I suspect that that may not be healthy.

Warehouse 13 just for the Artie character.

And the fact that every single character is Batman. They love to have a character enter a room then *gasp*, someone was behind the door. This happens mostly with Artie's boss appearing and I continue to find it hilarious.

Oh, and:
"Who designed this [electrical system]?"
"Thomas Edison, Nikola Tesla, and MC Escher."

Because the protagonist is so lovable and adorable.

Hey guys.

Glee is fucking amazing.

For a variety of reasons (Jane Lynch, the great sense of humor, Jane Lynch, that incredibly sexy cheerleader, Jane Lynch, that incredibly sexy choir director, Jane Lynch), but mainly because every song they do is one I absolutely hate, and I love their versions.

You're like 13 years old or something, who the fuck is letting you watch Entourage and Dexter?

Burn Notice is the only show on TV I watch with any regularity. It is as fantastic as Bruce Campbell is in general.

Well no, I also love watching The Venture Brothers, but I dont have a DVR and it isnt on at a reasonable time for me. So end up getting it on dvd. I love this one though. This is a perfect send up of the 60s and 70s cartoons, with a liberal dash of pop culture humor.

Also I recently discovered a defunct British comedy called Black Books. Only 18 episodes long, but it was entirely amazing. Dylan Moran and Bill Bailey together. I can't believe I had never heard of it until this year.

Almost fifteen and I'm sorta on the higher level of intelligence in my age group, so I'm not one of those sheltered kids. Besides, I didn't start Dexter until I read the books and True Blood cause I felt dirty after seeing Twilight on a date. And no I didn't MST 3000 to hell right then and there because I was frightened.

Glee looks like it has a lot of potential.

And lets not forget Smallville!

Black Books is brilliant.
Best episode is easily the picture book episode.

Don't really watch any current tv shows but currentely slogging through Brideshead revisited which is classic because it mostly just English people being ponces and snobs, which is what english people do best.

Also Jeeves and Wooster which is Laurie at his best.

98.5% of why I like Fringe is Walter Bishop.

Deadwood was just... damn I just loved listening to these people talk. Soliloquies in a western.

I seriosly don't get what people find so great about Smallville. I watched it a few times, like several years back, and I hated it already then.

I just recently discovered Black Books myself, it's really good.

Other great British comedy shows include The Young Ones, Bottom and, but this one you should already know about, Blackadder. Especially good are live versions of Bottom where the two lead actors (actually the only two actors) apparently regularly break character to annoy the other one or heckle the audience. I'm never sure just how many of those moments are scripted.

House is pretty sweet so long as you don't watch it for the medicine. Watch it for the characters, especially Hugh Laurie.

I may be one of the few people in the universe still watching Lost. They've actually explained a lot but with a season still to go there's still a lot left to be explained. There's a lot of interesting characters in there even if you don't want to watch it for the mystery, I mean none of the characters really come off as two dimensional or stock types.

I watch supernatural too, although it's just something I got into recently during the summer. I managed to watch the first four seasons in a month before the fifth premiered. I like the show because it doesn't seem to take itself too seriously, just check out Hollywood Bablyon and you'll see what I mean. A lot of the episodes are quite funny too, the actors can really pull off humour.

For reasons unknown to me, I still watch Heroes. It's like a drug I'm hooked on and can't get clean even though it's slowly liquefying my internal organs.

The only show I watch every week is Project Runway, which hurts me deep inside. I also find myself watching America's Next Top Model, but in my defense, I like watching them for the artistic parts. If they'd just cut the shows down to the last 10 minutes where you get to see all of the outfits that were designed/the pictures that were taken, that'd be perfectly fine with me.

I really like cake designing shows too. I love seeing what kinds of amazing/crazy stuff people can do with cake. I want this cake for my next birthday. (http://gallifreyanembassy.org/portal/mediagallery/mediaobjects/disp/f/f5d83f422abed12aeebd174a1d94a0d5.jpg)

Speaking of that cake there, I love Doctor Who, but I really don't think I need to go into why I love Doctor Who. Oddly enough I really love the Daleks in Doctor Who. There's just something charming, hilarious, and terrifying about them all at once.

Goddamn I really am anticipating the new Dr Who. With Moffat in charge things should be awesome, but seasons worth of "Are you my mummy?", those clockwork assasins, voracious shadows and "Don't blink, don't even blink" are gonna be a fun experience. That poor bastard Eleventh.

My favourite British show though, is Yes Prime Minister. Also Father Ted , A Bit of Fry and Laurie, Absolute Power and The Goodies aren't bad and haven't been mentioned.

As for American TV, right now I'm not really watching anything, except Chuck and then only half heartedly. Looking forward to more Dollhouse and House though. Also looking back, Arrested Development and early The Simpsons are probably my favourite US shows, along with Stargate (up to Jack getting promoted) and most Whedon stuff.

That, Osterbaum, is a thing I like to call sarcasm. It comes from the Greek word sarkasmos, meaning "to bite the lips in rage."

Supernatural is actually pretty decent but it isn't as good as used to be.

Firefly was great as was the film continuation, Serenity. The quality of those shows was good enough to make me watch Dr. Horrible. Hell, I might have to look up that Buffy show everyone talks about.

I like writing that is really sarcastic and has good banter in it.

See: M*A*S*H (Hawkeye), Buffy The Vampire Slayer (Xander), and Avatar: The Last Airbender (Sokka).
