I guess I'm right in the middle of an arc right now. Other than the free ones Brian posted on NP, this is the first issue of Robo I've read. I like all the little details - esspecially lots of nods to my home state.

I'm super confused though. the Cthulu thing is... hunting Robo across time? I guess it's not supposed to make a lot of sense but when a wonderful mechanical man tears open a lovecraftian horror and jumps inside, a man is going to have questions, sir.

Basically, the Shadow exists outside our space-time, but wants to devour it. If it succeeds, it will devour space-time to the point where nothing has ever existed but itself. Tesla stopped it the first time, but Robo stopped it the subsequent times. I guess you could say it wants revenge. It knows where Robo is going to be when it re-enters our space time, and goes there. However, Robo only goes there because he knows that's where the Shadow is going to be. More of Brian's fun with casualty, I guess.

Brian's fun with casualty

Not even joking this should be the title of a children's book.

You should pick up the fourth issue when you have a chance. The events of the third make a little more sense by the end.

Hope you're enjoying the series!

I am! Just keep it going so I can trade in Atomic Robo Vol 3 in 50 years for 60 Billion Double-Dollars.

Casualty or causality? Could go both ways!

Considering that he said "casualty", I'm gonna assume he meant, "casualty". :P

I thought Brian's fun usually involved drinking massive quantities of Dr Pepper Mr Pibb, rolling around in large piles of money and causing gajillions of explosions? Or maybe his tastes have changed in the past few years.
