Description:
Based on a shounen manga by Koji Kumeta serialised in Shounen Magazine.
Itoshiki Nozomu is the world`s most negative person. To his way of thinking, there is no hope or meaning in this existence. Even the three kanji of his name become the two-kanji word zetsubou, "despair", when compressed. What an ironic twist of fate, then, that he becomes teacher to a class containing his precise opposite, the invincibly positive-minded Fuura Kafuka.
With two episodes of the third season Subbed and a third on the way this show has quickly climbed its way back into my heart and funny bone.
Then it stabbed me in the back in a fit of depression, but it's okay because I got better.
The OP comes up as a third time charm, Bure, Rumba, and now Ringo Mogire Beam (Apple Plucking Beam) are some of my top favorite Openings of all time. With each fitting well within the shows overall themes of equal parts comedy, depression and insanity.
My only complaint would be that I feel I'm missing half the fun by not understanding some of the references they make, but that's more than made up for by the ones I do understand, and the interactions of the characters themselves as they go on theri rants.
