Now it may come to a shock, but on the DC side of comics, the Green Lantern is one of my favorite heroes.

Can Reynolds pull it off, I dunno. But heres hoping he can.

I'm going to be honest though, I think he can pull it off. If his roles from Definitely Maybe and Blade: Trinity are any example, it shows that he can do more than just be funny.

Humm... it's not really that much of a stretch visually. It actually depends on the script here... But i never regretted seeing any of his work, so this is already a partial Win anyways.

No, no, he's obviously going to be playing John Stewart (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Stewart_(comics)). It worked to get Robert Downey Jr. an Academy Award nomination, obviously Reynolds isn't going to pass up this chance!

lol....I've read somewhere that the script is based on Emerald Dawn I & II, so its supposed to be Hal Jordan.

I will be interested to see Ryan Reynolds play it straight, because Hal isnt really a jokey kind of guy. Honestly personality wise, he would be best for Guy Gardner. Guy would also be best for an Ironman type superhero movie, with some comedic bits.

P.S. I have heard they had a Justice League movie on the table, and that in THAT one, the GL was going to be John Stewart...

I would say Michael Rapaport would make a better Guy than Reynolds. I'm also of the camp that believes Nathan Fillion would make a superior Hal.
