I have heard a lot of good things about Robo, and, clearly, I would like to keep reading Clevinger's work when 8BT wraps up. However, I always had trouble going into comic book series, as they always seem to require knowledge of the issues before.
Since I am not flushing money from having too much (yet), I would prefer not to commit to buying an entire collection when I decide I am ready to start reading it.
I guess my question is, if I pick up Robo in two or three story arcs, will I still be able to follow the story?

Atomic Robo is written specifically so that you can start with any volume without being lost. The more volumes you read, the more you can see how events link up or influence one another, but it's not necessary to be aware of those connections to enjoy any given volume to its fullest.

Cool! Thank you for the answer.
Step 1) Purchase comic online
Step 2) Open packaging
Step 3) Wrap hand around book
Step 4) Use alternate hand to open book cover
Step 5) Continue to use alternate hand to flip pages
Hopefully this guide expresses the simplicity.

No, that's "how to read."
Seriously though my TBPs and individual issues don't even register on the bathroom scales, you should be fine. Lift from the legs, not the back.

Usually it involves ensuring that there's an 'upward' motion. Standing still helps.

But if you can still do it while running you become that much cooler.
