Edit: Lenna Shultz has passed away earlier than expected. The donation button is still up because there's still a lot of bills needing paid due to a fiasco with the bank causing her disability to not get paid. Anyway, Liz says thanks and that the donations she's gotten through that button are helping a lot. Like I said, it's being left up, but just fyi for anyone checking this out, the actual cancer victim is gone now.

I see a lot of people have checked out this thread. I'm not privvy to donations, but if you have donated, thank you very much.

A very close friend of mine's (http://galindorf.deviantart.com/) mom, Lenna Schultz, has terminal cancer. It was initially found in her spine when she went to have some back problems checked out, then in her lungs, and then in her brain. She needs pretty constant care thanks likely to the tumours in her brain, or possibly the mini-strokes she's been having, so she's going into hospice. She also needs treatment, surgeries, speech therapy, and anything else to make what the doctors estimate will be her last six months more livable.

Taking care of her has already cost a lot of money in airfare alone, and it will continue to be such. The family doesn't have a lot of money, so my friend has set up a Paypal donation button. (https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=6264170)

I know they really need the money right now, and Liz (Galindorf) has been my friend for a long time so if you happen to have some extra sitting around, and are so inclined to help out, I and they would really appreciate it.

The links again are:

http://galindorf.deviantart.com/journal/ - for Liz's journal, where you can see the full details on everything that is happening

Again, I really appreciate any help you guys can give, and thanks a lot to the mods for letting me post this here. It means a great deal to me.

That, um... goddamn, dude.

My mom had like weakass stage-1 cancer a couple years back and that was basically horrifying in every possible way so I can't really imagine what dealing with something like this is like.

My best wishes to the family and yeah I will probably kick in some money.

Seems to be happening to everyone I know this year. I wish I had enough to help everyone.

Anyway, like I said, I really appreciate you guys letting me put this thread here, and any donations you make. I know it's kind of a weird thing. Hopefully some good will come of it.
