Congratulations on not drawing a sadistic exercise in cruelty to robots disguised as a comic.
I think that's a first for Warbot.
EDIT: I mean, that was still pretty assholish, but it was tame compared to the depths of emotional manipulation and cruelty you subject poor Warbot to usually.

We figured we'd give him a break this week.
Kind of.

For all you know, Warbot could have claustrophobia.
Also, just out of curiosity, is the joke always going to be "Warbot suffers"? I think Warbot accidentally making someone else suffer would also make his existence that much more miserable.

Five comics into Warbot, and Brian is already showing everyone that he is hilarious without using sprites and a whole fuckload of text.

The fact that you have now specified it as a daughter makes it so much more horrible in some way I can't even begin to define.

You are a horrible person and you are going to rot in hell for all of eternity.
Has anyone noticed the bird shit on warbot in the last two panels? Ingenious.
How do you distinguish from a girl robot and a boy robot?
Male or female plug ports.

I've been imagining that misshapen robo-child is still alive, in the trash can, moaning for Warbot to finally put her out of her misery.

Technically, none of these comics are supposed to be funny. It's just the sickness in all of us that make us laugh.

Right, and I know that. The other ones made me at least chuckle in the darkness of it all. This one just didn't have an ending that made me go "aww, poor warbot"
The dating one did that perfectly.
EDIT: I guess this one just had less visually about it to give it humor, other than the wandering eye that is.

This week was nearly happy compared to the last two comics.

I think it's pretty obvious this one is less about being so awful it's funny like the dating one and more about Warbot failing to fit in. It's not really sad, it's not really funny, it just is.
This is why Zack and I spent the year leading up to Warbot's debut debating whether or not there'd be an audience for it. The comics range from "Dear god, why would you do that?" to "Oh, ah." I have no idea if that's a sustainable model, but we're doin' it!

Probably not completely uncharted. After all, there is a significant portion of humanity who slows down to stare at a car wreck/trainwreck/whatever-wreck.

Yes, but how many of those have been Warmech related? NONE!

I take it as more of a "we laugh so we don't cry" thing.
That said, I honestly haven't laughed at any of these comics. I've more marveled at your ability to give emotion with no words and a single eye. More specifically, how you set up the setting so that the eye can tell us more than a thought bubble about warmech's mind and how you've used the panels and locations to tell a story.

I think the comic will have a sizeable percentage of northern Scandinavia for audience. We're big on dark humor. It's just too bad there's hardly any people here. It's because we kill ourselves.

I think the audience might just be there because everyone feels as out of place as Warbot at one time or another. Common ground with him that makes it funny.

Have to say, but one of the best qualites of Warbot is that there isn't set numbers of panels for all strips. Thus, it isn't rushed at all and all the strips have good pace on them.
This is like saying "you're doing good job" for Zack, yet there finds some truth in those things that Fifthfiend shouts. Probably anyway.
I'm pretty astounded that no one has asked the question so far, but how'd he get out there in the first place? Also, the tie just kills me. :D

I like warbot in the same way i like Gordon Freeman... and for most of the same reasons too!
Just don't give Warbot an Alyx. K'guys?
Also, the idea of Warbot playing MMORPG's as a way to try and "fit in" just passed by my head, and there is just so much you can do with this... i just can't see how it would fail.

Brian and I are not sure. Even though the general response is both "You guys are going to hell" and "I love it", we're still not sure what we'll do with Warbot in the long run.
Probably more "You guys are going to hell" moments.

I'm a theatre student, and the first thing that we're taught in the comedy phase of our script writing class is this:
"Comedy is about suffering."
Of course, not long after that, we're taught that comedy taken too far can turn from funny into sick.
I don't feel sick, yet, though.

Hi all,
It is required to print the FOOTER only at the last page of a layout. In that case all other pages will have a blank space in that area.
Can anyone help me about how to do it?
