What? No Gran Turino (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J9dy5yCUxOg) thread? I bet you're all hounding after The Wrestler. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZ1r_RPH28Q) For those of you that don't know, Gran Turino is Clint Eastwood's latest flick.

Clint Eastwood stars as an elderly man who's just lost his wife, the movie opening with the funeral. His family comes in, his grand daughter wearing a belly shirt exposing her belly button piercing, has a nose ring and spends the funeral and the reception texting wither her cell phone. Her brother follows suite with bright blue sports jersey and fights with his other brother throughout the ordeal.

For Clint Eastwood, a veteran of the Korean War, and a thoroughly patriotic American, as well as a polite, decent man, it's a little much. He goes home back to the rough Detroit neighborhood, he spouts off a few racial slurs at his Asian neighbors, and hits the hay. However, Eastwood's next door neighbors son Tau has been bullied by his cousin's gang into stealing Eastwood's vintage mint condition Gran Turino. After catching Tau, the still vulgar, angry, slur spouting Eastwood takes a shine to the boy, and to his family.

It's a fantastic flick, and the first I've seen Clint Eastwood in. I have to say that the man lives up to his reputation.

Loved the movie, but I would have been happier if Sue had actually been show happy in the ending.

Saw it the other day; loved it. It was pretty much how I envision Clint Eastwood in his every day to day life. Only he could make "Get off my lawn" a viable threat to someone. The scenes where the girl came back bloodied and raped and the scenes afterwards were very powerful.

Also I felt very sad for how he felt alienated/manipulated by his blood family and fighting an up hill battle as of the shift in culture, as I imagine there are some elderly whom may feel exactly like that.

Great coming of age movie (yeah, that's just how I see it) with very witty and funny dialogue. Powerful film with powerful scenes. I loved it, although I was a bit disappointed that they didn't type the line "just don't touch my dog" for the rest of the movie.

It's a horrible movie for people that are easily offended though.

This right here is a solid reason to go see the movie. It's where Clint Eastwood takes Tau to the barber:

Nothing really spoilerish in the slightest, but don't click if you wanna see the movie in its entirety. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXD8yOxIPB0)

Seriously, Seil, that's almost as disgusting as the fact that you watched the movie and still misspelled the car's name.

Honestly, Clint still has enough acting chops left in him to fill up a few lesser thespians, but this was just a case of not being able to overcome a weak script. I honestly liked it as a "kooky racist old man" comedy and dreaded the obvious and boring "warming up his racist old heart" arc moments interspersed throughout.

Hey, I tried to change it, but we can't edit thread titles.
