Two episodes even.

I must say, I'm quite excited. The writing and acting are way above par. The guest stars alone are a testament to the quality of the show.

So, who isn't watching Scrubs yet and what's wrong with you? Do you not like hospitals or something?

Ooh! Ooh! Ooh!

Watch me as I flail my arms in excitement!

There were talks that they were not going to finish it; this news is glorious!

They had apparently already filmed and done the final season but it was sitting until they had a slot to free it up. Apparently it got sold.

I will definitely watch this, as I am curious how JD is going to fuck up/fix his life by the end. It will be sad that there is no more Scrubs, however.

Also Corel - Diggin the new avatar. Morte was great.

I gave up on Scrubs around the mid point of season 4, and completely stopped watching a few episodes into season 6, which was when I realized that I couldn't reliably tell whether an indulgent fantasy sequence was actually just a daydream or something I was supposed to believe was actually happening to the characters (being abducted by Blue Men, a dog delivering Carla's pregnancy supplies, etc.), and then I started watching the serialized run on Comedy Central and found that the characters from the season 1 were completely unrelated to what they had been Flanderized into.

I just hope that the show creator's next project is as fun as Clone High and Season 1 Scrubs shows he can be.

wait...i thought scrubs final season was a few seasons ago... are they coming back?Actually, last season was supposed to be the final season. In fact, they had only 6 episodes left to be written on thier episode order from NBC. But then the writer's strike hit, and when the smoke cleared... NBC decided it didn't want those final six episodes, denying Bill Lawrence the closure he wanted for the series. However, since the series was filmed at ABC Studios, ABC was like... "Yeah, we can pick you up so you can finish up!" So, that's why there's now a season 8, when Zack Braff and Bill Lawrence said there would be only 7. Which is great because we get 18 episodes instead of 6.

Also, the best part is that NBC won't be getting it's dick into it this season, and fuck NBC is bad about that with it's sitcoms.I gave up on Scrubs around the mid point of season 4, and completely stopped watching a few episodes into season 6, which was when I realized that I couldn't reliably tell whether an indulgent fantasy sequence was actually just a daydream or something I was supposed to believe was actually happening to the characters (being abducted by Blue Men, a dog delivering Carla's pregnancy supplies, etc.), and then I started watching the serialized run on Comedy Central and found that the characters from the season 1 were completely unrelated to what they had been Flanderized into.Bill Lawrence has been quoted into saying that the new season will be a lot like the first few seasons, and even in the 7th season we saw JD getting a lot more grounded.

They can't seem to make up their minds about that show, I swear.

Last thing I heard is that Braff had already done all of 'the rest' of Scrubs and it was over once they aired. Now there's a new season!

Of course Braff and Lawrence's insistence upon it being 'the last season for realz' probably put me off.

Had they been allowed to do those six, there would be no 8th season.

I'm pretty sure you did.

And I'm pretty sure I just explained why I was confused.

Pretty sure.

Yeah, Scrubs has definately been scaled back, and it's mush better for it.

The stinger at the end of the first episode was fantastic.

Okay, the second episode, "My Last Words", is probably already one of my favorite episodes.

I won't get a chance to see it for a while, is the season planned to be just the rest of the previous season or have they added more?

They had apparently already filmed and done the final season but it was sitting until they had a slot to free it up. Apparently it got sold.

I like the new set lighting they're using this season, and the switch to HD is a nice one. Already ABC is much nicer to the show than NBC.

Yeah, I'd have to say that My Last Words is probably one of my top 5 episodes. Really well done. And I like the "cut" clips at the end of the show now. Funny stuff.

I am really looking forward to this new season, although I'm not to sure about the whole beard thing.

I've always been a big fan of Scrubs; if the rest of the season is as good as these two episodes were, I'll be a happy man.

I just want to know why they killed off the Janitor...They never gave us his name.

Hopefully he'll come back when Courtney Cox finishes her run as Chief of Medicine.

I hear that they're going to have each main is going to miss two episodes (except JD) in order to save on the budget.

I'm usually a giant Scrubs fan, but for some reason, I couldn't really get into these episodes. JD's been flanderized more and more, which I didn't really like, that seeing him more like his season 2 portrayal just seemed off. As for the lack of Janitor, I died a little inside.Which leads to my biggest problem: Dr. Maddox. So far, she just seems like a bitchier expy of Kelso, and I had to join in Dr. Cox's exasperation when this was revealed. There are so many other ways to pull off the cheif of medicine, hell they could make one that's pretty much the opposite of Kelso and still provide conflict. I'd rather have some one annoyingly happy, like Dr. Clock as the CoM, just to see how Coxy would react, then a subpar Kelso.

Then again, we're only two episodes in, and I'm more or less wasted on cluster headache meds, so I'm probably overreacting.
