Title needs moar MICHIKO E HATCHIN.
Toradora! 07 makes me think that Taiga is indeed going to fall for Ryuuji eventually, an outcome which strangely seems not as lame as I thought before. What I really love about this show is that most of the links between the characters are not developed through dialogue, but through their characterisations on screen. It's the animation equivalent of acting, and I have to commend J.C. Staff for not screwing this up, unlike with Zero no Tsukaima.
Just watched the first episode of Inazuma Eleven, which is like Captain Tsubasa, but on crack. Fantasy football for the win!

Toradora! is a show which is good for deprogramming people of the traditional ideal of tsundere. Ironically, the fans most in need of this won't touch it with a 10-foot-pole.
Also: ep 7 is out? Cool. Gotta get that.

Do I take from this that the average anime fanboy (as in, the ones at animesuki) isn't giving a shit about Toradora!?
Well, phooey, I thought this would be all the rage. Those bastards swallowed Sekirei as if it were the greatest thing ever. Fucking arseholes.

I NEED more Casshern! Where is my Casshern? Thinking of renting the live action Casshern just to make the wait bearable.
Also, need more Goku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. I was worried there wouldn't be any more SZS, but hopefully there'll be a third full season, since apparently GSZS is just OVA's, not that they aren't awesome. I'm generally surprised that the show doesn't seem bigger over stateside, though maybe that's just me.
As much as I do enjoy my animus, I haven't checked out the other shows mentioned in the previous thread. I blame laziness.

She's still kinda violent to the main character, just not as much since they are bestest friends forever. Totally worth it, however.
Ep. 7 of Casshern is up, and I'm gonna start watching Toradora since it seems to be all the rage with the youngsters I respect.
The show is fun and pleasant to the eye, but kinda girly in some respects; I don't know if you can stand that. If you want manly stuff I recommend Detroit Metal City, which admittedly I haven't watched that much.
EDIT: Or, if you are a good friend, you could be on the lookout for Michiko e Hatchin.
Thinking of renting the live action Casshern just to make the wait bearable.
NO. The movie only really has 2-5 good scenes: the ones where Casshern is beating up robots. The rest of the movie tries too hard to be deep/meaningful... in my opinion. CG is great though.
If you want manly stuff I recommend Detroit Metal City, which admittedly I haven't watched that much.
YES. A million times YES. My only regret is that it's only twelve 13-minute episodes. That's only six normal ones!

I've also been watching Inazuma Eleven and One Outs for my sports anime kicks. This season is pretty decent so far.

Always works for me. I still haven't finished Slayers.Same here! I can't download anything else because it's taking up too much space find room on my shelves because it's taking up too much shelf space, but I'm only on the fourth episode of season two and I've only watched the first movie. It's interfering with my Mother 3 playing as well. I blame Menarker for getting me to read through MxO when I could have been watching Slayers.
As for DMC, I read through a bunch of the comic, so I'm cool with not watching the cartoon, even though it's awesome. Maybe it's because I heard the movie Krauser singing Satsugai and his performance wasn't nearly metal enough.

I finally watched Chiko 20. I think I can sum up the whole series like this:
1-6: :D
7-13: :/
14-16: :3
17+: :|
This show was a lot funner before it started to suck Hideo Kojima's cock.
EDIT: Casshern Sins 07 is subbed, NonCon.
EDIT2: That was strangely sweet during the first half, and just plain old disturbing double the sweeter during the second half. I love how this show throws you such curve balls. But, as usual, no real Friender action. Poor Friender. :(

So... Toradora is like crack. Very addictive. I am utterly astonished at how attached to each character I am. Especially Taiga. I want to protect her and all that fancy jazz. Minorin is also full of awesome.
Another thing, I wish that the character who has the same voice as Kafuka Fuura was in more scenes, just cause I dig the voice so much.

I asked for a plot summary and he got the wrong names and, honestly, I think he just read a plot summary and a bunch of AMVs and then said whatever he wanted. Back on anime news:
Looks like TV Tokyo is joining Gonzo in streaming their shows on crunchyroll. It's one hour after the Japanese broadcasting for paid subscribers and one week later for free users.
Five shows will be streamed, two of which will be Naruto and Gintama.
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2008-11-17/tv-tokyo-to-also-stream-naruto-through-crunchyroll
I don't care about either of those, but it's good to see the anime industry finally stepping up to deal with this problem.
EDIT: FUNimation finally uploaded Shikabane Hime 4 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?p=D51657A91704E730&v=Bl96tpNrdRs&feature=PlayList&index=3). YAY for schoolgirls, zombies, and machine guns.

Just watched the first episode of Chaos;Head.
Interesting. I get a Serial Experiments Lain vibe along with the dating sim vibe. The main character is a very delusional hikikomori who spends all his time playing video games, watching anime, and buying anime figurines. He has lost all interest in 3D women, or so he claims.
There is also the fact that a series of events called New Generation Madness are going on, like people being nailed to walls with cross shaped needles. One of them was a guy with a fetus found in him. Spooky. Don't know how it'll turn out, but it is certainly enough that I want to know what happens next.

The magical girlness seems mostly his delusions plus something involving the apocalypse. Kinda the opposite since they seem like they're gonna bring it. I don't recall seeing a show where you're aware the whole time, "This guy is loony! Just cause he sees it or remembers it doesn't make it true!" It makes me second guess a lot of stuff that happens though the show probably isn't that deep. It isn't great, but so far so good.

EDIT: Music and robot tears for the sad. Also, why aren't there subs for the preview for the next episode? I want to know what to look forward to! All I caught was "shoujo." Not that I'm complaining. Not hearing Engrish in an anime is a surprising joy.
EDIT: The new Dragon Ball Z OAV that we were discussing here (http://forum.nuklearpower.com/showthread.php?t=30663) back in September has just been subbed. The action scenes were well-choreographed, and it was really great to see all the characters together again. The only downside I can think of is that it will leave a bad aftertaste, just because you know there won't be something similar to this for a long time.
Admittedly, you probably won't find a lot of enjoyment if you aren't a hardcore Dragon Ball fan. It is, before all, a trip down memory lane, and I give it a hilarioustastic! out of five.

Casshern Sins 10: I'm getting the feeling that it was Lea who conspired against Luna and she is blaming it all on Casshern. At least we are getting (finally) some development in the main plot, with Dio taking the focus on this one and expanding him well as an antagonist. I have to commend the animation team on the visceral work they've been doing so far. Simple things such as drawing cables as intestines make for a shocking imagery reminiscent of the Black Plague.
Casshern seemed rather happy now, which rendered me surprised.
Nodame Cantabile: Chapitre Paris 08: I loved the musical piece in this one. WHY THE FUCK DID THE SUBBERS NOT NAME IT? Argh!
Ha ha, Rui got ditched! Nodame X Chiaki 4evar, mofos!
Toradora! 10: I hate how this show keeps becoming a tease. I love the art and interactions with the characters, but you never get any goddamn delivery between Ryuuji and Taiga/Minorin/Ami. Which isn't bad (it would have ended already had this not been the formula), really, but I want to see some action already, preferably girl-on-boy one.
I dropped Tales of the Abyss about three weeks ago; I just couldn't continue with the stupidity. I'll check Michiko è Hatchin later, which I've been lagging behind of. Also, does anyone know if Chiko 21 and 22 have been subbed yet? And when does the next episode of Candy Boy air?
