View Full Version : What Movie Trailers Are Better Than The Actual Movies?
I nominate this one! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZtVD97ss7rU)
...The movie was really long and drawn out. And I couldn't understand what was going on half the time.

The Phantom Menace (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qOVPRfOw394)
Easy.
I mean Anakin and Jar-Jar are only in it for a second each

I know recently the Max Payne (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGWCLhBUxjY) trailer was way better than the movie. Made it look really exciting and fairly canonical. The movie was not.
Jackie Brown (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JRhx0myyLg0)'s trailer is better than the movie. As far as Tarantino movies go it's pretty boring.
Are there any trailers that make good movies look bad?

Aside from any comedy or sub-genre of comedy movie?
Well, my dad went to see The Comedian based on its trailer, (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXbFuNQwTbs) and he said it was terrible.

[Day Watch] ...The movie was really long and drawn out. And I couldn't understand what was going on half the time.Well... you watched Night Watch first, right?
I don't know what to say, really, other than I totally disagree with you on that one. I thought Day Watch more than lived up to its promise. :/

I know this is a video game trailer, but it is way more entertaining than the movie it is based on (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGZNUDDqqHw&fmt=18).

The trailer for Epic Movie.
Everything even remotely funny about that movie was in it. It was about 2 minutes.
I'll never get those 8 bucks and two hours or so back.

I think that goes without saying.
Personally I thought the Resi Apocalypse' trailer was way better than the movie, but other than that I can't really think of any. Maybe I Am Legend as well.

I was just about to mention it (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inwnB714Nq4), so you're not the only one.
From IMDB's trivia page on the movie:
"The first trailer released for this movie (which was directed by Marcus Nispel) featured an ad run by the 'Umbrella Corporation' advertising a skin-regeneration product using a special formula called T-cells. In the movies and video games, the virus responsible for zombie mutations is called the T-virus. All the footage in the advert was either shot specially for the advert or from the original film. There was no footage from the film in this advertising."
