Is the missing emporer even part of this anymore? So far we have some random cult girl, a capitol randomly getting attacked with no signs, we're going to some random cult temple now, and the emporer has not been mentioned once, and apparently the king is dead or something and Magus is missing.

Yes the current religion is based off the Caste system. I will stop the confusion with my next post. Hopeflly it will un-confuse. Also there is only one cult. Istar. so any refrence to a cult or the cult is actually a refrence to the one cult of Istar. And it was a surprise attack in the night, if you want me to I can make some sort of weird flash back thing and bring back Magus to end the confusion if it will help...

2) I still fail to see why Magus is needed when Alyan (And probably more Real Caste people) are alive and not missing.

Well I cannot help what Ranger posts but the religion is a caste so they believe they will be better around next time the are reincarnated if they do good. As for the reason Magus is needed the replacement emperor and most the family was killed making Magus the new emperor, and probably putting Alyan and a bunch of other REal closer to the throne since the emperor cannot rule outside the city. Which is why Magus had to go, so he could be emperor. And to ward away confusion I will refrain from a flashback.

Waitaminute. I was without the knowledge that the current religion was based on the caste system. As far as I understand, some prophet or someone of the same magnitude and/or capability informed the people that the gods abhorred the caste system. Am I wrong here?

hmm...a slight misreading of the history attachment on my part. Oops. What I get from it is that there are two competing philosophies, one of which was adopted by the legislative body and is the widely accepted, heavy-handed caste system. Both philosophies originated from prophets of questionable sight, so t he conclusion must be: My last post was in error, and either prophet could have been insane.

The cult sect is insane, however its very popular compared to the Caste alternative. There is a new preist trying to bring about a new religion but more on that later. The Cult will do anything for money. EXCEPT things that go against their ideals Which are
A) All people are equal
B) There is 472 Gods and Goddess in their pantehon and they all represent something in us all.
C) Human sacrifices are expected weekily and must be pure blood (I.E Virgin)
D) Inbreeding is bad so all royalty is evil.
E) All order is evil that has been touched by man, so all preist that are in their cult are "untouchable"


There's that, the main caste religion, and then some taoists, which are very rare and shave their heads. Go check page... 14, I believe it was, of the first discussion thread.

Just go with the Caste one. You could believe that you are reincarnated of higher castes for good acts. Think of it like the indian religion... with vishnu and stuff. They had a similiar caste system (although not based on hair color), and that's what they believed. Can't remember the name of the religion though...

You can still be pissed at reals who act like they own everyone, because they're suppose to serve the people... and their next life they'll be reincarnated as slugs for acting like that.

Taoism doesn't really believe in gods or reincarnation. It's... different.

Yeah, sorry, I dropped out of this. After getting into UO and CoD, I got too far behind, and got so confused I just gave up.

Call was a good one, but it died as well. I'll probably post what was going on in that scenario and finally bury the hatchet.

Life is a good one, but Dante seems busy lately and is having trouble getting it going.

Redwall is a really good idea, I'm just lazy and haven't come up with a good competeing bad guy yet.

UO wasn't so bad except for the lack of people. I still jump on and have some fun slaying Mongbat hordes and waiting to get stronger. Maybe I'm just patient enough to enjoy it. CoD I have no defense.

Aww, IHMN wants me around. I feel touched. I sense a biting comeback as IHMN's next post as to how that isn't so...

And the Star Wars RP is on the backburner. WoD got the most votes though, so I'm focusing on that one, although I do have the Star Wars RPG book, so I can work on that one when I'm ready. I also saw Hellboy recently, and got the idea for an RP like my Call of Cthulhu RP, but with more focus on the action and less on the cowering in fear. And I have something I like to call Guardians of Eternity that is an RPG I am making, with all sorts of rules and stats, from scratch, based on multiple gaming universes, that I plan on getting my own free message board for, but that one is way, way in the future. I will most likely be in college when that one is finally unleashed.

And I could multi-task, but I'm lazy, and as soon as your proclaim yourself lazy multi-tasking goes right out the window. Once I've put more stuff togehter though, I might release some basic info for the WoD RP and some info on a Star Wars RTS RP, and take another vote, since both will be fairly time consuming.

Yeah I understand. I was on some of that stuff like UO and EQ but really I could never get past some of the stuff (For example this guild on UO called the Penguin Llama masters, The were in black and white and rode llamas And really had it out for me, until I became a really powerful wizard and with the help of some people smoted their ass...) If you ever need help the the stuff let me know man. I will put up a new discussion thread soon but you guys can use this until then.

EDIT Take it from a person in college. Sometimes you get more RP time sometimes you don't. But I am an all together different casse because I will go into the navy this year as a corpsman ( I believe Dante is one too right?) To help me when I try to becom a doctor. If that doesn't work though can always become a DJ...

True. I don't know, it's worked so far, support has been good, and while I don't chat with others a ton online since there are so few, I can deal with pumping up on my own if that's how it works out. You yourself have said in the past how you hate PMs... I usually run my ideas by Dante, and when he was hear I ran some of them by Demon. Them mostly because I had never set up any sort of PMing rapport with you or krylo, who is the other one I would probably look to for good RPing advice, and I do chat with them in PMs.

Unrelated minor nitpick... Spirit: Why is mike saying son of a gun? Would that saying really be used? I can't remember if there were guns or not, but I remember they weren't powerful/being used much if they are... so I doubt there are naval ships with guns that people fuck whores in. Which, by the way, is where the saying "Son of a Gun" came from. Someone would impregnate a whore under one of the guns...

Seems like I'm jumping on your case and saying, "Hey, I may have never PMed you anything before, and don't know anything about you, but regardless of that fact, I want you to look at this stuff and review it for me, regardless of how much or little you care!" I just generally felt more comfortable asking that of people I had already been talking with already and thought they might actually be interested in, instead of springing it on people unsuspectingly.
