Okay, I realize that most likely, very few of you will be interested in this topic, but whatever, I'm posting anyway.

I got picked to be a guest violinist for younger string camp (going into middle school and younger), so on June 7th I'm going to be helping out with teaching whatever and stuff and I'm also going to get to do a violin solo to show off my skills. For this, I picked Kreisler's Praeludium and Allegro. For those of you not in the know, it's one of the more popular/well-known/cooler-sounding/moderately difficult pieces for violin solo out there. This won't be my first live performance, but for some reason I'm really tickled by it like it's my first real live performance. So I had the crazy NPF-obsessed lurker idea to play it for some of you over Skype or Ventrilo or something.

So, what would be the interest in something like this? Maybe you think classical's boring because you've only ever heard Spring and obscure baroque pieces, which I must say are pretty boring, in contrast to Praeludium and Allegro which is rather more exciting, especially in hardcore part near end. Maybe you think classical music's too sophisticated for you. Well, maybe it is, but if you're not too tone deaf to know the difference between a song that sounds good and a song that sounds bad, I think you should be able to enjoy classical. Maybe you think classical's too arrogant. I, for one, enjoy Rhapsody's, Dragonforce's and Stratovarius's songs, and just have been too lazy to listen to other songs.

Please tell me if you'd want to hear the Kreisler, what medium you'd want (Skype, Ventrilo), and times you'd be available for. Also feel free to talk about how you feel about classical music (baroque, classical and romantic)
