My friend insists they are better than Metallica. Many of my other friends insist they SOUND like Metallica. I disagree with both. I don't like Godsmack very much.

Really, I think they're down there with Nickelback in terms of rehensibility. Just industry manufactured crap that's been formulated to be a commercial succfess. Music made that way is never good. See: American Idol.

I actually like the newer stuff. I dunno, but its more... complex? Their old stuff just sounds like they were wailing on guitars, but the newer stuff actually sounds liek they sat down and wrote the music.

Meh, Faceless was their peak, IMHO. A lot of solid music from a generation where rock was struggling to redefine itself. Over and over again.

Oh man do they ever. That is still one of the best shows Ive ever seen.
