So here's my question. If you could have ten tracks that you could force the entire world and everyone you know (hopefully, they're all on this world) to listen to, what would they be? And why?

Go!

1) Always With Me, Always With You -Joe Satriani. It's an awesome song.

2) Paganini's Fifth Caprice. It's also awesome, but in a different way.

3) Comfortably Numb -Pink Floyd. It's amazing. Up to like the fiftieth time.

4) The Last Mango in Paris -Jimmy Buffett. Really good song.

5) Blitzkrieg -Yngwie Malmsteen. Fast, and pretty heavy.

6) For the Love of God -Steve Vai. Very good song.

7) Cliffs of Dover -Eric Johnson. Happy!

8) Flying in a Blue Dream -Joe Satriani. The second song by Satch on my list, which shows you how much I live Satch.

9) The Trooper -Iron Maiden. Come on, how then hell does this not make it to this list?

10) Horizon Walker -Caleb Brinkman. Because nothing, nothing, could follow this. By the way, for those of you who look up "Caleb Brinkman", the only copy of this song in circulation was recorded in one take at 3:00 am, so it's really shoddy.[/self promotion]

Uhm, in no particular order:

Blindfolds Aside - Protest the Hero, I don't care if you hate it, just appreciate the lyrical value. One of the few songs I can sit down and listen to over and over.

Roses for the Dead - Funeral For a Friend, See above.

Procession of the Fates - The Human Abstract,

Rapture - Hurt, a nice story well put and well performed and the band has violin.

Handlebars - Flobots, there's really not a whole lot of reason beyond the obvious reason to give a political/social rap song for people to know.

Reduced to Teeth - Finch, it's awesome and I like it and you should too. XD

Ants of the Sky - Between the Buried And Me, falls under the easily hated section that Protest fell under, but it's quite possibly the, uh, most progressive? song I've ever heard with metal riffs, little jazzy breaks, sort of a bluegrassy section, pretty much everything, Very odd.

Eternal Harvest - Final Fantasy IX Piano Collection, One of my favorite piano musics from the game, definately like it more from piano than the OST. Pleasant to listen to, happy, fast, just all around nice.

The Place I'll Return to Someday - Final Fantasy IX Piano Collection, the title screen music, IIRC, I just think it's really nice and I think everyone else should too and I can't really say that about lots of things.

Imogen's Puzzle Pt. 2 - Psyopus, creepy weird instrumental that you should listen to if you're in a rather abstract mood. =p That's pretty much the reason to have it :O

Black Mages - JENOVA
Devil May Cry 3 OST - Devils Never Cry
Chrono Cross OST - Intro
Gitaroo Man - Bee Jammin' Blues
Metroid Metal - The Tunnel
The Verve - Bitter Sweet Symphony
Soundgarden - Black Hole Sun
Sonic 3 OCR - Latin Sphere
Rez OST - Buggie Running Beeps
Halo 3 OST - Finish the Fight
If those were the only songs left in the world, I'd be okay.

I'll just copy and paste the ten most listened tracks on my playlist:

Wind Garden (http://youtube.com/watch?v=p0Ff06PSNkU) (Mahito Yokota & the Super Mario Galaxy Orchestra) - Had this been a tune in any of the 2D Mario games I'd no doubt it would become as timeless as the original overworld music.
"Libera Me" From Hell (http://youtube.com/watch?v=fwz6hx8elNc) (Tarantula, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann OST) - That I don't even like rap and have this as my second most played song of all time means a lot. The marriage of opera and hip hop is superb in this piece of work.
Sora Iro Days (http://youtube.com/watch?v=tg11llJB4MQ) (Nakagawa Shouko, opening to Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann) - Cheesy anime song. Nothing to see here except awesomeness and cheesiness.
Le Festin (http://youtube.com/watch?v=p_hdmt4vpBo) (Camille, Ratatouille) - I love French music. I love Camille. I love Ratatouille. Merge the three and I go splooge.
Hijo de la Luna (http://youtube.com/watch?v=A3REPMDSCh4) (Mecano) - It's Mecano (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mecano), for fuck's sake!
19 Días y 500 Noches (http://youtube.com/watch?v=odXqBrb6ctI) (Joaquín Sabina) - It's Joaquín Sabina (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joaqu%C3%ADn_Sabina), for fuck's sake!
Happily Ever After (http://youtube.com/watch?v=jVAwhrfXDYc) (Nakagawa Shouko, insert song to Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann) - Another cheesy anime song. This song would continue existing in order to torture the haters.
Sufre Mamón (http://youtube.com/watch?v=jNGAhvEFf0U) (Hombres G) - Hombres G were the shit.
Bloodstained Lineage (http://youtube.com/watch?v=bWecX-JwCxg) (Daisuke Ishiwatari, Guilty Gear X Heavy Rock Tracks) - Whoever was the drummer for this one must be one hell of a drummer.
Cuesta Abajo (http://youtube.com/watch?v=LFPIWoshvHU) (Carlos Gardel) - Did I mention I love tango? Hence why there should be a place for the king of kings.

RT's pointing out of Guilty Gear XX has made me tempted to trade out a single song for "Still In The Dark."

Farewell - Apocalyptica: The song that turned me onto Apocalyptica, and one of my favorite songs ever. It's just beautiful.

The Curse of Feanor - Blind Guardian: Simply because I believe that it has one of the coolest choruses ever:

Don't fear the eyes of the Dark Lord!
'Morgoth', I cried,
All hope is gone, but I swear revenge!
Hear my oath:
I will take part in your damned fate!

My Immortal (the remixed version) - Evanescence: I always thought that the singer for this group had a great voice, and this song is lovely in a melancholy kind of way.

The Sound of Silence - Gregorian: Simon and Grafunkel done in the style of a Gregorian monk chant. What is not to love?

Salva Nos - Yuki Kajiura (from the anime Noir): I forgot about this song. Just downright catchy and epic.

Hurt - Johnny Cash: You know you've got something special when the guy who first wrote the song said "this song isn't mine anymore."

Carry on my Wayward Son - Kansas: No reason other than this song is just awesome.

Captain Hampton and the Midget Pirates - The Aquabats: Funniest song ever. I have yet to find someone who didn't break out laughing the first time they listened to it.

Free Fallin' - Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers: The first song I remember considering one of my favorites. I've loved this song for over a decade.

Where the Streets Have No Name - U2: Far and away my favorite U2 song...and considering how long I've been exposed to U2 (thanks to my sisters), that's saying a lot. The first time I remember this song clicking for me was when I was waiting for my family to get off of The Rocking Rollercoast at MGM Studios in Orlando (I'm not much of a rollercoaster fan). I remember it was evening, so it was finally cooling down a bit, and when still song started playing, it was all good.
