The Cloverfield monster becomes a comedian, and ends up eating people when they don't laugh at his jokes. Then he has wacky antics with his roommates and friends and junk.

They could call it Cloverfeld.



Seriously, though, I just saw Cloverfield and it was awesome. Although what the hell are you guys talking about with something falling in the water at the end? What water? The movie ends under a bridge when rubble collapses on them. And I didn't hear anyone says its still alive, just the two saying I love you and whatever.

Also, what the hell happened to Lillian or whatever her name was? I don't recall seeing her getting killed or anyone crying about it like they did for Marlana and Hud. So I guess they just didn't like her.

That idea sounds very trite and hackneyed. It needs a lot of mystery and tension to lead up to the trite and hackneyed pay off.

After the bridge death scene, it goes all funky for a second, and then it shows some scenes from the trip to Coney Island. When the camera is turned towards the water, look in the right third of your TV. You will see a small black thing fall into the water.
