Which one of you toolbags has been responsible for keeping knowledge of Top Gear down in the states? I KNOW IT WAS ONE OF YOU AND IF I DON'T GET AN ANSWER I WILL NOT HESITATE TO SHUT THIS ENTIRE FORUM DOWN!!.

If some of my American (or other godblessedly Non-British) compatriots are confused as to what this 'Top Gear' is, I am not surprised and I don't blame you. The vile insidiousness of the disinformation campaign has only been exceeded by its overwhelming success.

It really needs to be seen to be believed, but imagine if you will a Mythbusters-esque programme where Adam is replaced by an awesomely deadpan snarker, Jamie is replaced by a short compulsive teeth whitener, the design team is combined into a nuerotic and bumbling mess, subtract all of the myth stuff, add a bunch of car stuff, rev it up to 6th gear, throw in a guy who is too awesome to even speak...and then I guess you'd end up with something entirely unlike Mythbusters, but is great entertainment.

One of my favorite parts of the show were when they tried to kill a Toyota Pickup truck. They set it on fire, nearly lost it in the ocean, demolished a building while it was on top, as well as various other things, and it still worked.

I loved the one in which the Bugatti Veyron competed against an airplane in a trip from Italy to London. It was awesome and I wish more programmes were like Top Gear.

I think we've been hiding it because of the episode where they drive around the South in pink cars and nearly get killed.
Also the fact that they continually rag on American cars.

I remember watching Top Gear when it was shown on the Discovery Channel long ago. I practically fell in love with it instantly and was deeply saddened when it was taken off the air. From what I saw, the most memorable one was when the Lancer Evo went up against the bobsleigh.

Also, the one with the DB9 racing against the train was just hilarious.

My favourites are the Arctic Special, and the one where they made aquacars. The Korean Heavy Duty Supercar VS boats in a race from Denmark to the top of Norway and the under 500 pound car(I think) race across England were awesome too.

I think my favorite 'inflammatory addition' during the down South episode was the 'Vote Hillary' part. The exaggerated impressions that non-Americans have of Americans is always made better by those impressions being mostly true (although I think I should feel hurt that when I went to Italy, an 'American pizza' was a pizza with two fried eggs and some bacon on it).

Right now, my favorite moment is when they're fucking around with the G-Wiz, which culminates in loading it up with ten times the battery power, making it remote controlled, and then using an actual RC car to blow it up.

Also, everyone should watch Top Ground Gear Force, if only to hear a brilliant dissertation on how the existence of the shed is fundamental to all of mankind's accomplishments.

I always figured it would have three layers of cheese baked into the base, sour cream in the crust and a metric fuckton of meat, cheese, BBQ sauce and onion top. Then it's flash fried after the cooking's done..... damnit now I'm hungry.

You mean the £1000 supercar challenge where they all broke down/exploded by the end? Yeah, that was pretty good, but not as good their attempts to make their own limos (there's nothing much funnier than a 45 foot long Panda), the convertable people carrier which destroyed a carwash, or the "what is the fastest way to travel across London" challenge, which was absolutely hilarious.

Also, all of the cross-continental challenges and races, specifically the african special and the Veyron vs plane race, for sheer epicness.

EDIT: Almost forgot about the time they tried to plant their own fuel crops and reviewed tractors. Best use of high explosives to plow a field I have ever seen.

I have not seen the explosion with which they plowed the field.
I HAVE seen the episode in which James got blamed for ordering the wrong seeds. Again, not completely, but it was funny.
