What's the point? You'll just take all the sweet things about Batman and water them down with generic animeness.

I'm kinda-gonna agree with Barrel-Hating Sycophant on this one.

Batman's been redone in animation style so much lately. In the DCAU we had Batman: the Animated Series; arguably the best animated representation of Batman. I see this new series as trying to recreate that and undo the subtle dislikes of The Batman series. At the same time, this new Gotham Knight thing is the tie-in for the new Batman movie The Dark Knight. Which from what I've seen and reviewed is a good step and a new image, but it's still yet another revision - that's the only thing that really bugs me.
Why redo one of the greatest DC heroes over and over again? Is watering down what was already made legend the only way to appeal to a modern audience?

I reserve judgment. It looks cool to me, but at the same time I remember the Animatrix.

Of course, I don't know why any of us are hatin' we are all gonna watch it.

I don't see what would be "generic anime-ness" about it. I mean Batman at times is basically the ultimate deus ex machina - "Oh, by the way, I totally had something just in case this scenario happened. And it's right here on my belt."

I think it could be fine. I'll check it out.
