Finally we get to see a reborn Megs. I also think the autobots are pretty much boned

As far as build-up episodes go, I was somewhat disappointed. There really wasn't nearly enough tension. (If you discount Optimus's high oil pressure.)
Yeah, seeing a repaired Megatron is something, but too much of the episode was devoted to the set up for part 2. On the whole, it felt a bit mediocre. Don't get me wrong, it was a good episode, but I still feel the high point was Thrill of the Hunt.
I just feel if they'd taken away Sari's key 1-2 episodes ago, and maybe already gone to Dinobot island, then maybe this episode wouldn't have had to cover so many bases. It just Headmaster & Nature Calls were too much wasted filler between this episode and Lost & Found.

Decepticons, Transform & Rise Up!
About dang time the Decepticons got themselves a catch phrase.
It was a pretty decent episode all around, clearly better than Beast Wars season 1's ending, but not quite as fantastic as season 2 (Beast Wars).
Some questions on my mind:
What did the key do to Starscream? It was made painfully clear it did something. Rampage-like spark, perhaps?
Was that a spark in Sari's DNA? It looked like it, and Sumdac did hint at a secret. Is Megatron the baby mommy?
Point 2 is something influenced by an interview with Tara Strong, which I can't find, but many on the TF board I frequent have interpretated the same way.

I trust you're comfortable in you chair, Professor Sumdac.

G1 and Beast Wars have the same continuity, cause in G2 his immortal Spark came back, remember?
But is it the same Starscream? God damn Transformers continuity.
Also, god damn it I wish I had access to TF:A right now.

Well, the autobots use the key to heal and repair themselves, considering that the decepticons are their opposite in nearly every way, logic would dictate that it should do the opposite of heal.
Plus, I don't know if you've ever been punched by someone holding a key, but it hurts.

Uhm, Megatron? Didn't he get repaired by the key? And in Animated, the Decepticons aren't completely opposite, just have a different philosophy. Heck, Black Arachnia isn't really a Decepticon, yet her views are somewhat in the same line as the rest of them.
And if you haven't noticed before now, every time the key comes in contact with a Transformer, their body opens up a port. So there wouldn't be any puncture wounds.

More like different continuities, with crossover origins. Kinda like how the comic & cartoon shared certain aspects, but were otherwise completely irrespective of one another. Or Movie Megatron & Starscream's relationship.
Or the similarities between Tenchi Muyo the TV series, and the Tenchi Muyo OVA. (Just to throw out a non-Transformer comparison).
