Hey, let's call it concert-season or, hell, concert-remembrance season.
After careful and methodical research, I think the live concert ranking system is something like
Canadian baroque-pop supergroups > French dance duos > New York rock band > A gaggle of rap groups (http://www.avclub.com/content/blog/rock_the_bells_and_the_pleasure) (my experience was almost exactly the same, peaks and valleys and all, except Mos Def, Common, and Talib Kweli all rapped together and when I think back on it I can only remember "HOSHITTHISISAWESOME!!")
I'm pretty sure there exists wiggle room, but that's at least at a 95% confidence interval.
