Might as well have a catch-all thread for OC Remix (http://www.ocremix.org/).
They generally post good stuff, but I do have something to say.
Dear fucking god, djpretzel, stop posting tracks from Voices of the Lifestream (http://ff7.ocremix.org/). Yeah, we know you like it. We know you think it's fantastc. We get that. But, as you said when you were posting one of the tracks (http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01663/) that Voices of the Lifestream torrents had transfered 70 terabytes. That should say that people are quite capable of downloading it without it being on the main site.
And yet, you keep posting the tracks.
Yeah, I get you want to promote it, get people interested with a few sample tracks.
But you've fucking posted half the fucking project. A 45 track project, no less. I mean, why bother having it be a separate album at that point?
That's just a gripe that I really needed to get off of my chest. You all may go about praising the site as it deserves to be now. Like how Mazedude (http://www.ocremix.org/remixer/mazedude/) is a pretty friggin' sweet remixer.

I prefer MCvaffe myself, I like Malcos, and Po! too, THe Project Chaos and blood on the Asphalt albums are my favorites.

Not everyone uses torrents, Fencer.
I mean, I guess spending eight million years downloading a single mp3 sounds totally great for some people but fuck that I just want to download it off the main site if it's there.
That said, I want to have snappleman's babies.

Actually, all the mp3s can be download individually from the project page (http://ff7.ocremix.org/tracks/). Which is linked to on the main OCR Page, on the albums page, and pretty much every post djp's made with a track from the project, and a few others since the album's come out. I just cited the torrent because he cited the torrent.
It's just I'd much rather have new tracks instead of seeing yet another VotL track, you know.

bLiNd and Alisean are my favorites. Goat! hasn't been around in a while but I love his work too. Disco Dan's got awesome techno remixes.
McVaffe rules all. I mean, Freestyle Dojo alone!

Oh God, OCRemix constitutes most of what I listen to. Altho' I tend to seek out my music there by game, not artist (I'm downloading my way through their Secret of Mana selection now).
Most of their Phantasy Star I, II and IV tracks are excellent, along with all three of their Little Nemo: The Dream Master tracks, and their stuff from Star Ocean, EarthBound, Tales of Phantasia, and Final Fantasy II, III and V. (And that's just off the top of my head, 'cos I'm listening to a CD of something else at the moment.) Of course, if I had to recommend one particular track at the moment, go check out "Fire Cross" by LuIzA. It's a screaming wild electric guitar mix that borrows musical elements from a bunch of different Final Fantasy games.

I see most of my favourites have been mentioned(Ailsean, Mazedude and Goat), I'm also a fan of Protricity especially for his/her work on Kong in Concert, Simian Symphony being a big favourite, also Snappleman for Thrash the Plank (http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01272/) which I really love. Though admittedly I just love DKC tracks, especially Gangplank Galley.
Also The Wingless (http://www.ocremix.org/remixer/thewingless/) for One Girl in All the World. Drowned in Exile (http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR00850/) by Children of the Monkey Machine is also a favourite.
Edit: Forgot Fire Cross, that one rules.

Goat! hasn't been around in a while but I love his work too.goat's got a track up on the recently relaunched VGMix (http://www.vgmix.com/). The site is still a bit of a mess and confusing, but the song title's is Creeping Dusk (should be near the top here (http://www.vgmix.com/index.php?t=browse_song&o=9&letter=c)), and be warned, I think it's a 17 minute track (I don't remeber, and as of this posting, I keep getting a system maitinance message when I do anything other than browse).

goat, I loved. Children of the Monkey Machine's remix of the Undersea Palace tune's great. The Ken Song anyone? Come on, that's impressive. I am a big fan of a fair few of the Megaman X-series remixes. especially the Zero ones.
And just for kicks, the Jungle Version of Bubble Bobble.

And just for kicks, the Jungle Version of Bubble Bobble.Alas, you have mentioned one of the many OC ReMoved, those tracks that were retroactively deemed to be unworthy of further inclusion in the halls of OC ReMix. Many tracks fell to the sweep, including one of my favorites, The Black Lodge's "Ocarina Boogie" from Ocarina of Time(due to not using recognizeable in game music, only using the in game ocarina for an original composition). Some can still be found out there in tah intarwebz (http://www.doulifee.com/Storage/OC_Removed/), but very few have the full collection.
I'll have to double check my lists, but I'm pretty sure I have all of the removed tracks, including the various 'releases' for April Fool's Day.

oof well that sucks. I probably have them still from the full 3 part archive torrent files they did a while ago on my PC though so if you're missing some, let me know.

Oh, I definately have all the post-1000, pre-1500 lockdown tracks, and the torrents were introduced after 1000. Maybe after 1250. Don't quite remember.

Overclocked Remix was very instrumental in my musical development. It turned me on to both techno and metal (Before that I only listened to classical). Chris Gates (aka. goat) is a notable artist in my mind (Castlevania+Metal=Awesome). I'm incredibly confused about why Mr. Lloyd (djpretzel) does some of the things he does, and I think if he didn't so obsessively micromanage his site, it would be for the better (like VGMix, except actually operational).

Yeah, I am a fan of McVaffe, Disco Dan, goat, Mazedude, Ailsean to an extent, why has nobody yet mentioned AmIEvil, and while we're at it let's stick in a little taste of Scott Peeples, Dr. Fruitcake (Mario TropicalParadise is amazing), FFmusic DJ isn pretty good, Ghetto Lee Lewis deserves some love, Shael Riley for one of the most recognizable tracks ever, Star Salzman (Street Fighter 2 Tatsumakisenputronic is really good) and uh, their other composers too.
That list went on longer than it should have.
Also virt was good but I guess he had an emofit years ago and went screaming off into the void.

Actually, virt went screaming off into making VGMix. Which is currently down because of password/hacker problems. At least he diecided to put VGMix up unfinished but functional instead of waiting until he was done progamming the 8,000,000,000 little features he wanted to implement.
Granted, he could have put in some better organizational features, and more clear everything else.why has nobody yet mentioned AmIEvilDeath on the Snowfield (http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR00205/) still is one of the best tracks on the site.

Normally people skip this one, but I love it too.
McVaffe is great at whatever he does. I also love The Wingless, his orchestral tracks get my blood flowin' in that fantasy sort of way.

Agreed, much better at that song than Terra in Black.

I disagree! ha ha, divergence.
I like them both a WHOLE LOT, honestly, but I still prefer Ailsean's spin. AmIEvil's is far more fitting/appropriate, though.
Death on the Snowfield (http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR00205/) still is one of the best tracks on the site.
would you mind uploading it somewhere else. I can;t get it from OC Remix
/edit It seems I cannot d/l anything from OC Remix. Anyone else having this problem?

Nope. All four mirrors are working just fine for me. Supertux was a bit slow at first, but not horribly so. And this isn't my home computer, it's a library computer at my college.

Hah hah, you suck and OCR hates you. Here's a mirror for downloading Death on the Snowfield (http://djpretzel.web.aplus.net/songs/Final_Fantasy_6_DeathontheSnowfield_OC_ReMix.mp3).
Or my Firefox hates OCRemix?

Mine's working fine with it man. Especially since I refound Turks in Pursuit, a rather underestimated remix :D

Does anyone here know ktriton?
Cuz he's my brother. He works with cpacaud, mustin, dale north, etc.
(edit)
Also virt was good but I guess he had an emofit years ago and went screaming off into the void.
He still makes a lot of stuff. He's been doing real video games now...He just did Contra 4. I know because...well, I've met the guy. And cuz my bro just did a track for the game too...

BraveFencer: for posting the OC Removed link and therefore offering me access to tracks like the "Ocarina Boogie" and "Final Fantasy Progressive", I thank you. (Altho' I can see why some of these were culled from OCRemix proper. There's a Kirby Superstar track there, for instance, that feels like a ripoff to download. Yes, even though it's free.)
I'm not sure if you guys have checked it out but the DooM Remix Project | The Dark Side of Phobos (http://doom.ocremix.org/main.html) is really good. At least in my opinion. I haven't checked out the rest of OC but now I will.

Remember, there's a few album remix projectys that aren't a part of OverClocked ReMix.
Bound Together (http://www.wushuplaya.com/boundtogether/), and Earthbound project.
The American Album (http://www.mazedude.com/aa/), Mazedude's tribute to American video game composers.
Cave Story Remix Project (http://kwix.shackspace.com/cavestory/index.html).
So I got OCRemix working for me (yay) and have been downloading some new stuff.
Currently I am on a Mario RPG binge. Great great stuff.
Booster Tarantino (http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01000/) A cool semi Jazz remix of Boosters Tower
I'll look for a few more
