I'd like to use Pandora to expand my music library, but of course is not available outside the US. I had an idea that I could use a US-based proxy and connect to it that way, and it seems to mostly work. However, it gets to about 66% of loading the applet when an error about unexpected technical difficulties comes up. I only had time to try one proxy this morning, but I recall having a similar difficulty before. Is it even possible to use Pandora through a proxy, and if so, would you be able to recommend me one? If not possible, are there any alternatives to Pandora?
My thanks for your time.

Well, Pandora doesn't really expand your library. It's essentially a custom generated internet radio. You have no control over the order of the tracks or what tracks play next. You can't download the tracks off of it, you can't go back to replay them as many times as you want, you just have to wait until it comes back up to listen to it again.

But you can write down the artist and title and go get the song later.
A quick google request reveals this tutorial (http://franticindustries.com/2007/05/03/how-to-access-pandora-from-outside-the-us/); I can't say from experience how well it works but it looks pretty solid.

Pandora has probably tripled my library by encouraging me to go out and find specific bands in my local record shop. I love the Nomads. It's okay if you have never heard of them. No one outside crappy British clubs has.

Okay, I forgot the "introducing you to stuff that you wouldn't have found otherwise" factor.
