Did you listen to something new today?
Any new albums coming up that we should take notice?
Found out a new song that you want to talk about?
What's your musical pick for the day??
As per this thread, (http://forum.nuklearpower.com/showthread.php?t=27535) I've been listening to Within Temptation - Angels almost non stop.

I've been listening to E.S.P by Miles Davis for the last couple of days for the first time in my life (A lot of my friends were surprised I had never heard of this album, considered one of the classics in Jazz). So I guess that would be my pick of the ''a few days ago''.

Enjoy the indie rock goodness.
Strangly enough, I can't get enough of the woodwind section of "Sacred Power of Raging Winds."

For reasons unknown I've been listening to Gorillaz songs on YouTube lately. Over the course of three days I've become seriously addicted to El Manana (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DEB7i8bSwNA&feature=related) (stupid tilde I can't remember how to make...), Tomorrow Comes Today (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h2QP832OstY&feature=related), and Clint Eastwood (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpDer9wdUEw). I don't know how I found these... I don't usually listen to their music, except for the version of Starshine I used for the intros to my cartoons. But these three songs are really growing on me.

Kraak en Smaak. (http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=kraak+en+smaak&search_type=)
Dutch band, and from what I've heard it's quite good.
But I haven't heard much from them, to be honest.

Today, I have been dancing like an iPod commercial to Relax by Mica. He's a French pop singer, but this song is in English. YAY!

Actually...
It's Mika, and he's from Libanon.
Funny fact: Mika means as much as "shopping bag" in his native tongue, if I remember well from what I heard on the radio.

A few days ago I downloaded a couple of new albums. First, the Minibosses' Brass. My joy at having discovered the incomparable work of the Minibosses is equaled only by my shame at not having discovered them sooner. Also, I grabbed OCRemix's Kirby: Rise of the Star. It doesn't grab you by the hair and smash you face-first into the amp the way Brass does but is quite a delightful set of tracks each of which does an excellent job of creating its own mood while still feeling connected to the rest of the album and to Kirby's games. (I might grab Relics of the Chozo next, if it's anywhere near the quality of this.)

Never am I going to listen to people again. EVAR.
OT, I'm rediscovering Bob Marley. Dug up some old mix CD's of mine too. Led Zepplin and Nirvana plus random techno FTW.

Finally got my hands on Primus' Miscellaneous Debris album, one that has eluded me for many a long year now.
Ol' Primus does a smashing cover of Pink Floyd's Have a Cigar, tell ya what.

I've found out about Richard Cheese & Lounge Against the Machine recently, and I must say, I've instantly fallen in love with their music.
I especially like their cover of 'More Human Than Human' and 'Welcome to the Jungle'. I just can't stop listening to them.

Ah yes, good ol' Richard Cheese. His name gets a chuckle out of me every time. Think about it for a second..oh..yeah there ya go.
My drug of choice today is Jason Webley. To me this man is the embodiment of a musician. He's not out for the money. He's there for the music and to spread the joy of it. Very talented musician too with a kickass voice to boot. Plus he's from Seattle, northwest ftw!
Jason Webley's space (http://www.myspace.com/jasonwebley). I'd suggest a particular song...but I love all the songs. Can't pick just one.
