So why isn't he listed as a moderator of it?

He's a super mod and we're just calling this one his baby.

So why isn't he listed as a moderator of it?

That would have required several more clicks while setting up the forum, possibly even the typing of several letters.

Fuggin Fifth closed the rules thread before I could press post.

Suggestion:
3. Everyone hates Linkin Park, stop claiming otherwise.
If I could be so audacious, might I recommend a general "Dump on the band, not on the listener" policy? Music is quite possibly the most subjective artform, tastewise, and what a person likes to listen to can many times be just something they listen to, not an important component of their personality.

Basically, it allows me to say that Milli Vanilli is a horrible anal pox upon the sonic landscape, but the Milli Vanilli fan out there can take solace in the fact that it's just my personal opinion, not a condemnation of him or his iPod library.

Or was that already assumed?

Plus, Linkin Park rules and that just goes without saying. I mean yes that stupid Jay-Z thing they did was retarded but otherwise they tend to have a solid 4 good songs per album.

I wanted to leave it open just long enough for someone to think they would have the chance to post before I locked it.

STOP BREAKING RULE 3.

On a somewhat serious note:

Or was that already assumed?

Pretty much yeah. I mean, that's generally the way we do things.

I guess it couldn't hurt to mention whenever someone does up an actual rules thread.

I believe that Linkin Park had a healthy mix of rap/rock. Plus their DJ-guy was awesome. These two reasons are why Minutes of Midnight sucks. A lot.

Edit: What about the metal claw (http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/830/metalclawbb2.jpg)?

Would a thread where someone posts a link to a song or music video, and then the next poster rates and explains what he/she likes about that song fall under the purview of the games forum or this forum?

May I ask what does this mean for the Caramelldansen? Because I want to know how much is pushing the envelope for it.

Oh, God. No Caramelldansen. Please. I think its mere existence is "pushing the envelope for it".

I'm gonna say this forum as long as it doesn't get all spamdumbtastic.

...I was gonna say be prepared for people to say what they hate about it but eh what the hell, it won't kill anyone to have one thread where people with nothing nice to say don't say anything at all. We can do a separate thread for songs people hate or something.

Fuckin' denied. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayzhJKy8H_A)
But if Stairway ain't allowed... well, you know every band will get a request for this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O1mCQKuvzCM&feature=related) one.
Apologies for the bad video...
My girl once asked me, if I'm leaving tomorrow, would you still remember me? I looked at her, and asked her "What's your name again, hun?" It's Skynyrd time, people!

2: No Stairway to Heaven.

What is this blasphemy?!

Seriously. We can't discuss the best song ever?

What's to discuss? Seriously.

It's the best song ever. Discussion over.

Only if you discount the Raphs.

And discussing Stairway will land you a fine in certain places, notably a music store in Camden I went to, so we must respect those good people.

Yeah, I was rather disappointed in this sorry lot of so-called music fans. Hell, just entering the forum caused me to hallucinate signs like this:
