So, for the tournament, will there be any PvsP at all? I thought there wasn't, but plans have been changing and stuff, thus leaving me in a state of confusion on the matter.

If your not fighting, just post your characters watching the action, but don't do it so that it interrupts the actual action.

You forgot the part where Veimi levels up and gets gil for killing NPC #17, and I was wondering the same thing about the deadly traps... and black chocobo knights killing people.

Where does it say that they can kill, theyre only there to trip up the chocobos...I said there were pits, not that there were spike filled pits...

EDIT: Ok, after actually reading Demon's post, I'd say he took it a little over the top from what I was thinking...

You should probably just replace "Guy gets arm cut off by wire" with "Guy falls off chocobo by wire", all mines and fire with "Falls in a pit" and deadly darts with "Sleep enchanted suction cup arrows", and then tone down the lance/knight thing at the end (I didn't understand that part to well). And any other deadly traps mentioned should be replaced with pits.

That way the entire tournament will make more sense over all.

Or maybe replace crossbows and bows with blow guns, and quarrels and arrows with darts tipped in sleeping potion... that would make a bit more sense. Also... large darts (where that guy and chocobo are impaled) with small darts of the same sort I already mentioned. Maybe razor thin wire with a small cable... so the guy is thrown off without losing an arm... 'cause if it can take an arm off, it can take a head off, making it deadly.

That'll let you know, more or less, what Spirit's guy is capable of. Although there's probably some skills he doesn't have, and some he does that aren't on there.

I'd toss up skills for others as well, but Mediator and Geomancy both have more freedom when not constrained to a system... while still remaining very balanced... and I don't know how MC is going to handle his monk... and the other jobs don't really fit all that well with anyone we have... other than maybe black mage. But that's kinda obvious.

krylo's got a point: pretty much any character in a RP has more freedom, especially Geomancers (they wern't all that great in FFT, I admit).

And I expected the arena to be similar to the World Tournament ones in DBZ, but I like the collesium idea better :D

Tournament started. Chocobo races happened, Demon won. Mounted battles happen, JMan won.

That's about it. You could probably still fit in somewhere in a competition, seeing as we've only done two things so far.


Also, back onto the cat eye topic from long ago (I was completely wrong about my cats by the way, they are all very slitted eyes. Didn't shine light in their eyes for long enoough I guess). Are the cat persons eyes yellow instead of white like in cats, or is it just the slitted pupils?

Her eyes are like normal human eyes, but when bright light is shined into them they turn into slits, like cat eyes, and she has a good ability to see in the dark, so if you shine a light in her eyes in the dark, her pupils will reflect and glow a bit, like a cat's does.

Not sure what BM was planning for this event, but for the others he just sent the intro which you add to your post of what happens in the event. Since we are all winning, I don't think he does anything during the events (As long as you don't make yourself out to be god and everyone else sucks).

In the first FF RP we did... I forgot what Blyr's was... but he's pretty much the same guy, so it'd probably be the same.

Ciaran the evil general who would flippantly cause death and destruction for fun had 'When You're Evil' by Voltaire.
Ripel the blue mage who was always doing 'bad' things for 'good' reasons... like assassinating the king so Ciaran could become emperor (but also so Ciaran wouldn't kill his friends), or unlocking a gate to hell thinking there were reinforcements behind it, had "What is Eternal" by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra...

Dante and Deamon had a couple each, depending on the situation... meh, I don't remember anyone else's.

I know we talked about what song is most like our character, and I said "Stronger Faster Harder" by Daft Punk (Which applies to this Dezil too since he is the same character), but I don't remember "Theme Songs" for when we were doing something.

FZ: that's what I meant. I used the term 'theme song' for an easier understanding of the concept.

And I was laso assuming that some of the recurring (sp?) chars might have different theme songs, since this is a different world, RP, etc., thus causing different personalities and attitudes from the originals.

For example, since Ripel is a big city mediator/merchant instead of a country-boy blue mage, he wouldn't be childhood friends with Blyr, who grew up (pretty) much alone in the forests. Since this never happened, they never met 'til later in life when Ripel's caravan needed a guide (Blyr), so the influences that each character would normally have on each other were negated since they didn't meet 'til their teen years, both of them would be different. This would warrant a different theme song (maybe). And don't get me started on their Battle of the Bands incarnations...

So, since I have successfully (and needlessly) confused myself and there's interest in the idea, would anyone like to start us off?

Here's how it goes for all you guys that don't know/forgot/don't care.

I'll use Blyr as an example.

Here, you'd say something like "Here's my suggestion for Blyr. The song's name is 'Last Train Home' by Lost Prophets." Then you'd give some explanation, followed by lyrics for he song if applicable (optional). It'd look kinda like this...

I just skimmed it because I got Ninja Gaiden just now and want to play it, so can some one summarize the battle for me?

So far I think this is it.

IHMN--More like this.

Reaper is big, but can see perfectly well. Darilk fights Reaper alone, because he's an arrogant prick. Darilk then rams his sword through reaper's fist and up his arm by stabbing it on a punch, and cuts the man's arm in half when he pulls it out. Reaper passes out from blood loss.

Meanwhile Zatara blinds the other human combantant and Blyr knocks the guy out while he's still trying to figure out why he can't see. Dezil, while that's happening, is fighting the ibric warrior but can't do so very well because the ibric is too fast. Zatara, after blinding the human, casts sleep on the ibric. Ibric shakes it off but not in time to block a face smashing mechanically powered punch from Dezil.

Grim then summons skeletons, they're pushed back, Dezil clears a swath through them using grenades, Zatara casts a paralyze spell at Grim, Grim prepares to block it, but gets shot by Ripel, spell hits him while he's distracted by the crossbow quarrel in his hand. Grim, being subdued, can no longer keep the skeletons animated, so they all fall apart.

Well, you see, when you hear the term "ship's whore" talking about the woman on a pirate ship that put out for all the guys and kept them from going a little crazy, they're actually using an incorrect term. Well, maybe correct for pirates, because pirates tend to be a bit more blunt than your average soldier... but you'd normally call her a 'ship's wife'... only not only the navies would have these. Sometimes, things that aren't even military would have them.

Well, if you think about it more, then just think of the ammounts of STDs that whore would have after sleeping with several pirates a day, and the pirates then getting those, then what some of those STDs do to the genital area.

No no, I'm simply picking up steam in this thread. See, in the Cthulu one I started out not much worse than that... and now I'm up to reproducing just to eat the babies to survive. Granted, I had some things worse than that going here... such as half-demon births, and how horribly painful they would be, but it's been so long, I figured I should work my way up again.

Well, dogs aren't NORMALLY supposed to eat chocolate, if I remember right. And I will admit, we have given one of our cats some "human food" once in awhile, but I don't think it's especially good for them if you just put your plate of whatever on the floor and let them eat it, like some people I know do. I mean, they won't die or anything, I just don't think it's the most healthy thing in the world for the animals.

Besides, it would be tacky if Arianna gave Palidor scraps from her plate in the middle of a big fancy banquet hall.
