Pretty much the deal is that Community was looking more and more like a poor-man's General forum except requiring people to scroll past ten sticky threads before they could actually look at whatever new thread, which is the whole problem Community was created to solve people having to deal with in General. As such I have switched this thread back to moderation-posting only and moved all the non-sticky stuff back to General.
I'm not saying stuff like the NPF Christmas Table or Desktop Background threads are not totally great things, because they are totally great and I quite like those kind of threads, I'm just saying we can totally do that kind of thing in the General forum where it isn't buried under a bunch of sticky threads.
EDIT: Also this forum is now visible to not-logged-in folks because it's silly to have an introduction thread where people who might in the near future be introducing themselves won't know about the thread.
