I've heard a lot of things about James Blunt - both good and bad. I happen to like the guys music. I do. I really think that the main problem that people have with him is that he's over-played, as shown by his song "I'm Beautiful." Anyways, he released his second album a few days ago, which doesn't sound too bad.

Anyways, I'm really getting a kick out of one of his new songs, "1973." My music tastes tend to lean towards two types of musicians:

People who've got a neat sound - I particularly like Leonard Cohen for his deep voice.
People who've got meaningful lyrics - I like Bruce Springsteen for this one.

James Blunt is the latter of the two - and proves it with his song "1973." The song is about a man talking to his lover, Simona, and he tells her that she's getting older, he's a bit of a drinker - but that doesn't matter, because to him, their relationship is stuck on that one moment where they first met; in a club somewhere in 1973.

Anyways, I made this thread to hear what some people have to say about James Blunt. I mean, I like the guys work, but more often than not, I'm met with critics rather than supporters - what's your take on him?
