Ok, So I just got an AURORA M 9700 from alienware, and I'm having trouble connectiong to the internet.
First of all, I installed everything, and it will connect to the internet for a minute or 2, then boot me off(also, anytime i try to come to thise website I get kicked off..)
I have tried plugging directly into the ISDN line I use(I am well aware my internet sucks), and get the same thing so I know it isn't the router.
I am using a 9700 802.11 B/G MINI PCI wireless card.
Finally, yes I have called tech support, but in Ireland everyone that works at alienware is either polish or an idiot. Not saying anything about polish ppl, but I have called 4 times and I have yet to get someone that can help me more than reading off a FAQ...
So.. any ideas?
thx in advance.
edit: oh yea, Also, when I am not connected to the Internet, it tells me that I am connected locally but fail to go to the internet. I use vista and have gone threw all of the repair process' it tells me to, and it tells me there is a problem that windows can't fix.
Also, My roomate has labtop that works fine with the wireless and I am currently on the desktop which works fine pluged directly in...
