Windows System Error huh

Alright i'll be brief, as of late, I have been getting this annoying popup in my task bar saying.

Windows - System Error

There is an IP address conflict with another system on the network.


I am not computer literate so can somebody explain to me wtf this is

Is your ethernet hooked up to a router? How many computers are hooked up?

If you could post a screenshot, I could probably help.It says exactly what his post shows, teh title of the error window is the first line he says. The second line was teh message the error window gives. It shows up on botton right of the screen where all your little minibutton things are as a yellow triangle with an exclamation point in it.

It's an IP conflict with someone else in your network- get your dad to reboot your router, and it'll go away. ((By reboot, unplug the thing and time out a minute+. Bring a watch and wait a full 2 minutes, then plug it back in. the conflict will go away.))

Also, if you just ignore it and DO NOT CLICK IT, you'll stay on the internet, since windows XP is weird like that.
