Well, it's been out for a little over a week, and there's been no thread. I'm actually kind of surprised, considering how good this movie turned out.

Seriously, if you haven't seen it, try and see it soon. It's a really simple movie, but the script is amazingly well done.

And don't let the commercials fool you, McLovin is one of the best parts of the movie (turns into a whole side story, really).

Oh, and my favorite line in the movie by far: "OH, SHIT! IT'S THE COPS!!"

So, NPFers, what did you think of this awesome comedy? Or am I the only one who's seen in so far?

"I'm so wet right now!"
"I think we read about that in health class."

"You know, you scratch our back, we'll scratch yours."
"Funny think about my back, Jules, it's located on my cock."

Goddamn there are a lot of amazing lines from this movie, and even more great scenes (like the Home Ec class with the Asian kid playing a cat).

Great movie, great movie.

Sad thing is, I think the whole 8% of kids thing is ... true. I'm hoping that after all the kids at my school see this they realize what morons they are and they stop. I mean, they don't do it on their own stuff... mostly anything that belongs to anyone else they can ever get their hands on, or see with their eyes.

"How old are you?"
"Old enough."
"For what?"
"...T-to party."

McLovin will remain a legend for a long time to come.

For those of us who didn't see the movie, 8% of what?

"He's the fastest kid...fastest kid alive..."

Sure it's a little exaggerated...but it's really funny.

And much more realistic than many of the "teen" movies out there.

Not because a kid gets hit by a car 2 times and survives but because it deals with issues that kids actually deal with without placing them in some kind of clique or a certain group. Albeit in an exaggerated fasion
There are always those high school kids that have trouble talking to girls...I know I did (Still do).
And there probably is some kid out there with...unique drawing habits (trying not to give too many of the movie's parts away XD)

I'm going to just stop the analysis and say:
WATCH THIS FUCKING MOVIE IF YOU HAVEN'T

you wankers

XD

Love,

Watch the movie yes, but fair warning to those still living with your parents; you probably shouldn't let them see this if they're any sort of traditional folks.

Super Bad = win

This movie is hilarious. Compared to most comedy movies I usually watch I'll laugh hard during a few parts of the movie. This movie however I was laughing about halfway through the whole movie it is that good. Do yourselves a favor if you're old enough and go watch this movie.

Kids forbidding parents from seeing movies? What a country!

I'd say, from the recent Judd Apatow flood of movies (Superbad, Knocked Up, 40-Year Old Virgin), this one was definitely the best paced, comedy-wise. I know a few reams of tissue paper have been wasted over how Apatow can blend heart touching moments into the general raunchiness of the improvisation, but Superbad found a way to have a laugh built into everything.

And can I just say how great it is to see Michael Cera being awesome in something other than Arrested Development? George-Michael was such a daddy's boy I had this weird mental block of the actor never succumbing to curse words, but I've never seen someone describe porn-website cinematography so naturally.

It cost 18 million to make and it's made almost 70 million so far.
