I'm running into a very small, but persistantly irritating issue while using WLM (the most recent version, no addons of any kind).

Once and a while, for no reason I've yet to detect, my question marks (?) turn into this symbol: É.

My only guess is I'm somehow changing to the french key. But how did I manage it, and how do I change it back? The change ONLY affects typing in MSN, so it doesn't seem to be concerned with a full keyboard change. Also, no other keys go all French on me.

If you've got any ideas, that'd be super. As it stands, obviously not a huge deal, I'll live without my question marks. But hey, that's what this forum is for, right?

I've seen that happen a lot, actually, with different people's computers (Including mine).

And For some reason they always see it happen on MSN (WLM is MSN, there's no point really distinguishing :P) But it's never MSN itself. Try scanning for spyware/adware? It might be something like that.

barring that, I have no idea what to do, but it solved the issue for me when it happened to me.

Well, did you try re-instaling it? Since you dont use any add-ons it wont be much of a Burden... plus, give a check into your control panel's config for keyboards and such... maybe there is some conflict there with your language selection

Same thing always used to happen to me... I think Shift+6 is the real ? button.

...It fixed itself for me, eventually.

Sounds like a problem with Unicode or ANSII support.
