Because that's what it keeps doing. For a couple days now (since I moved the computer tower up from the floor so the headphones could reach my head), the monitor has been sporadically making "sparking" noises and going blank for brief moments--seldom longer than the duration of a blink, but it's obvious this shouldn't be happening.
I think it's one of the following:
1) Moving the computer messed up the connections somehow. Unlikely, since I checked the monitor... and because any connection problems in the past have caused the screen's color to go crazy, but not flicker.
2) Monitor is dying. I dunno the exact age of it, but it's one of those big, clunky monitors. It was a hand-me-down from when my dad used it (for quite awhile), and it's been in our possession for I think two years now.
Also, this seems to happen when I'm doing smoething that alters the screen's resolution (like playing a full-screen game)... Any suggestions?
