If you have questions place them here, unless they pertain to registering then put them into the sign up. If a vacancy opens up I'll notify those on the invitation list then if none of those want in then I'll open it to later singups but I'm warning you. Your character could die during this rp I'll let you make a new character, but if you want out that's cool to. Now I'm going to be busy all this week and next week so if you rabid bunny post I'm going to send the military police after us. which means a lot of running and dieing.

Hey, I'm just wondering, because all of our characters are not or only semi-aware of our powers, about when do you plan on introducing them?

I asked before, but I don't think I got an answer. Is it ok that Soup doesn't have a hover bike? Does he have to get one?

That is up to you I already know the first big use of spark's power.

Is it ok if my guy already had a kinda freaky experience with his? He has no clue what happened but it happened.
Squishy Cheeks
02-25-2004, 04:38 PM
That will work. but we don't really start to think soemthing is up until we meet dr. hobo (no that is not his real name.)
Rhuhael
02-25-2004, 04:42 PM
But I like Dr. Hobo! I think sometime I should make a pestilence mage called Dr. Hobo and run him around terrorizing the city.
It'd make a great villain!
Anyway thanx.

Okay. I'm not sure whether we'll actually make it to the races or not, but if we do, can you give those of us who won't be there *coughmecough* something to do?
Squishy Cheeks

I Liiiiiiiive
Name: Kayla Morahgent
Nickname: Shad (Shadow)
Age: 18
Appearance: Hair is red with blue streaks, done in dreadlocks, and held back from her face by a bandanna (think Jak from Jak n Daxter....or maybe Jack Sparrow. sorry. /Captain/ Jack Sparrow). The dreadlocks aren't all that long. Just long enough to be able to fall into her eyes, and require restraint. Bright green/blue eyes. Like Spark, she's always got welder's goggles with her, either around her neck or on her forehead. Looks relatively normal....until you realize that a) her features are vaguely feline and b) she has a tail. Said tail looks like a cat or stereotypical cartoons monkey tail. Furred. and just dextrous enough to hand her tools. In no way able to support her weight or heavy things (monkey wrench, no pun intended, is about the extent of it). Pointier than normal canine teeth. Wears baggy greyish green cargo pants, with a studded belt, a white (or mostly white) tank top tee, and a blue plaid-ish flannel button up shirt (usually tied around her waist, or tossed to the side). Has blue and black tribal tattoos on her arms, and a dusky/tawny skin colour.
Equipment: Boot knife, tool belt, headphones. hoverboard (once again, think Jak n Daxter). Bluey-black Outlaw Hover Bike (heavily modified for street racing)
Special Ability: she can absorb kinetic impacts. well, up to a point. for example, dropping her off a ten story building would still result in a squish. but punches, kicks, minor hoverboard/bike crashes, all these are simply absorbed. no one notices, because it just seems that she's unnaturally lucky. the kinetic energy is then simply bled back into the atmosphere, although in the circumstances of a fight, her return punch would carry a slightly higher kinetic charge, and thus hit slightly harder. note: friction (ie pointy things, knives, road rash) still hurts her.
Bio: Kayla's parents both died when she was ten, victims of a freak incident at an anti-mutant demonstration. Since then, she's been on her own. Uncle Leo helps her out sometimes, but mostly she makes her own way. Has jobs as both a DJ at the Underground and other clubs, and a messenger for one of the bike-messenger services, as well as helping out sporadically at Uncle Leo's garage. Also a talented graffiti artist. Hasn't been caught...yet.
Extra: completely, totally, and utterly laid-back. just...don't tug the tail...
and....a picture. sort of. dreads should be shorter.

Is it about time were we can start accidently using our mutant powers?
And can Aras teleport other people, or only himself?
Squishy Cheeks
03-03-2004, 10:44 PM
just himself for now. and yes you can. just try not to be suicidal about it like spark.

Meh, I had intentions of joining this RP, just never made a character in time. How is that sign-in list or whatever looking for people that want to join?
Also, welcome back ghost. You've been gone a really long time...
Squishy Cheeks
03-03-2004, 11:23 PM
well FZ your on the waiting list so just make a bio and drop by.
Forever Zero
03-03-2004, 11:29 PM
Alright, I'll have a bio up in a minute. Only question is, if my guy is Pyrokinetic, can he create fire from thin air, or does he need a source for his fire like a lantern or candle or torch or something.
Squishy Cheeks
03-03-2004, 11:30 PM
We limited it to fire breath remember.

Got it. It was a while back, and I lost my original bio, so I'm having to remake him from scratch.

Hey, guys, does this mean Spark is dead for good? Or does he have a chance of miraculously coming back to life?
Lycanthrope
03-04-2004, 09:13 PM
I think he's an official martyr. If he show up, it probably won't be until the end.

Mmm not likely he's been cremated... unless his managed somehow to meld his mind with a machine...

Never under-estimate the power of a christ symbol. It worked for Gandalf.

I'll assume Doc's already out of action. I'll be leaving for Thailand on the 9th, that's why I didn't have him do much of anything.

Never under-estimate the power of a christ symbol. It worked for Gandalf.
Lol that is very true indeed. It also worked a few times for Neo.

Okay. Here's my question. Is there anyone in the Under-City we could potentially call upon to bring in bigger guns to deal with these things? An organized crime sector (if there is, I beg them to be called the "Morlocks") or anyone that would have weapon's powerful enough to stand a chance against these three killing machines?
Squishy Cheeks
03-09-2004, 08:29 PM
Yes there are indivuals like that. Hell spark could have built you a bigger better gun.

Well in the story the meddling kids get in the way of MCP, only in this story it was shade who hacked the system, and in it spark died at the end of the book, and angel's wings are broken.
The second book, the war starts the Rogue shows up Shade almost kills it. Ogre breaks a wolf over his knee, Bones calls some dead workers to haunt the wolves and mole blows shit up.
Third book, The rogue joins the squad, angel leaves. MCP strikes back hard. The gang barely survives.
Fourth book Angel goes darkside and get's a power boost. He single handedly fries the lobby of the MCP building. The gang try to stop him. It ends in a duel between the rogue at full power and angel.
Fifth book The Fall of the MCP

Um... so... In order to actually fight, we kinda need to get to Regus. I think we've reached a stale mate. JAD, it might be time for a Deus ex Machina to get us out of the tunnel and to the Hobo guy.
IHateMakingNames
03-22-2004, 11:22 PM
What exactly is Dues ex Machina? Always here people refer to it in everything, but I never have any idea what it means exactly.
Lycanthrope
03-22-2004, 11:29 PM
"Machines of God." Refers to, in ancient greek plays, when they'd crank down someone playing a god from the top of the ampatheatur on a winch, and the god would resolve everything and everyone is happy. Basically it means that something should come and save us.
Your character is fine. Its just the rest of us who are currently besieged.

you do realize there is nothing stopping you from going up or down stairs other than your indecision.
It's not like I sent Space robots after you.
