hey, marksmenship is very Zen. especially sniping. Its all about pateince, breath control, physical fitness, trigger control. To be a good shot you have to have a lot of control over your own body.

i mean, anyone can jsut swing a sword jsut as anyone can just fire a gun. To be a good warrior requires skill on all fronts.

Reasons magical powers are cooler than guns:

People can't take your magical powers from you without the use of a powerful orb
You don't have to look all over for a place to hide your magic powers when you go to sleep in a hotel room
Magical powers doesn't trigger airport security machines
When you are taken captive the villains always have you padded down for a gun, not for magical powers
Enemies can be used as torches during dungeoncrawls if you set them afire
There's more kinds of spells than there's kinds of guns
It's far more impressive exploding people from inside than exploding them with a rocket launcher

I use my grandparet's guns since i'm too cheap and lazy to buy my own. But i would have to agree, guns didn't replace swords and knifes because they weren't as good at their job. Magic doesn't exist. And a nickle plated Desert Eagle .45 is a beautiful sight to behold.

I have to like guns because I'm from Texas, and I also carry one on a daily basis. So, with that said. I like guns! >_> *ahem* Yeah, magic doesn't exist except in the card game, besides guns make booms and bangs and sound really cool when you shoot them. Besides if you have a gun you get to say all sorts of nifty stuff right before you blow someone away. I mean, with magic, you'd have to say all sorts of incantations and junk, it'd make cool lines even harder to think of let alone say. So, yeah, guns rock more than magic does.

yea, running out of ammo on CS sucks cawk, but atleast you can lag behind your buddys and pick up a discarded gun....*remembers Dino Crisis 1* the horror *curles up into the fetal position* no ammo, no melee weapon, raptors everywhere *shuders* the horror..

Guns lack finesse. If I could achieve magic, I'd use it. Swords and other such bladed weapons will due. Not that I have anything against guns. My favored sword, the rapier, wouldn't have existed if it weren't for the gun. But that doesn't make me prefer them more.

i dont reload. or havent yet, anyway. i jsut got my own gun last week.... adn you cant reload stuff fired fomr an AK type anyway, since the brass gets marred up when its extracted.

Russia steel cased ammo is my savior.

altho, you know what pisses me off? US troops would destroy weapons and ammo caches in Iraq. Why not send it back stateside?! i could use some captured iraqi surplus ammo. :(

Trust me, you dont want most of the guns there, and the ammunition is old, and poorly manufactured.

My dad got back from Iraq a few months ago and was telling me that the 7.62 ammunition for their AK's would foul the guns. And tha tmost of the rifles had the sights stripped off of them.

And the Rifle Im shooting is an Armalite AR-15 Heavy Barrel with an Adjustable 20x-6x Leuplod Scope (set to 10x).

Oh, and a little fyi: I don't like the G3. Its unreliable as a combat firearm.
