Yes, it narrows down the population of dwarfville so very much

Well, indeed it does. They've got the bearded miners, the bearded brewers, the bearded architects, the bearded bards (my favourite band). How many bearded warriors could there possibly be?
B-Mage
11-18-2003, 09:49 PM
My guess is it will probably be 4... just for consistancy

I'm really hoping we're all just feigning ignorance as to who the "bearded warriors" are.
Either that, or Brian is a great deal more clever than he seems. He has shown that ability in the past.

Well...it wouldn't really be consistent. Take the evil group for instance. They only have three. Garland, The Claw, and Drizz'l. So who knows? It could be 4 but the light warriors kill 3 or something and the last one fills up the last evil slot in the group! Has anyone played FFI? From the small amount I've played, I know Brian actually keeps things very close to the story ("I Garland will knock you all down!") so the dwarven warriors may be in the game too.

Does the new forum registration process automatically pump you full of STUPID when you sign up, or did I miss something? I only used to lurk on the old one, but that's still the most non-satirical lols I've ever seen.
Getting back to the comic, I can't wait to see the Bearded Light Warriors in action. God must have a very sick sense of humor indeed for them to always end up as the saviors of whatever land they're in.

Now, now, let's not forget what gods would watch over these "heroes."
And yes, the stupidity on the new forum is amazing.

I would not be suprised if the "Bearded Warriors" did indeed turn out to be the 'Light Warriors". Don't thier illusions have full Dwarf beard's and all?
Mafus
11-19-2003, 02:17 AM
That's a good point, with the illusions going the King will probably mistake them for the bearded warriors.

am I the only one who wants either fighter or red mage to learn how to do a kamehameha just to make black mage jealouse enough to learn ultima and nuke the whole dwarf nation? (not that I have anything against dwarves heh heh ^__^ ) it would be nice to see witch would win if kamehameha and hadoken clashed wouldnt it? 1 word KAAAAAABOOOOOOOOOOOM :D

Jebus, once a comic gets its 'own' forum, does it always attract this much dumbness? Back on the old one, there were a few people like this, but they were promptly removed.

Kamehameha is just a little...well, used up, let's say. How about something more interesting...like Gravity, or...Eat. Or, combine the two! Squish them bitesized and chase them with a fork.

My guess is that the bearded warriors are just gonna be foils for the light warriors. They'll be like exact copies, or reverse images or w/e.
I don't think Brian would pull something like kamehameha into it. Eeesh. Too much DBZ, in my opinion.
Why bring in a new ability at all?
Except for sword chucks - I WANT SWORD CHUCKS!!!

am I the only one here who found that the are 8-bit theater comics that got turned into flash movies complete with good voice acting on a websight called newgrounds? they are very well done

transcend, I was just goofing there, sorry. I figured the aptly placed Fighter sprite made it a little obvious I was joking around, but obviously not.
I would not be suprised if the "Bearded Warriors" did indeed turn out to be the 'Light Warriors". Don't thier illusions have full Dwarf beard's and all?
I believe that was the whole point in asking if we were just feining ignorance, because that is as contrived a plot developement as ever Brian would have come up with.

Anywho, as with most of Brian's works, this was full of funny. I think the only line we haven't discussed as funny yet is "Our course is clear" "Declare war on Elfland?"
Wait, missed one: "Dwarf land has befallen a horrible curse." "You mean besides being placed so near the Elven lands?"
Almost every other panel is a joke lately, or so it seems. Not that that's bad, I'm just surprised Brian keeps coming up with new ideas.

I believe that was the whole point in asking if we were just feining ignorance...
That would be the reason I said "did indeed" in my post. The "indeed" part indicated agreement with something previously stated.

Sorry, dude. I've been up for 32 hours straight, abusing caffiene, smoking a lot, and playing KOTOR. Typed messages are hard enough to read context from without those extenuating circumstances.

That's one of the things I hate most about forums, or written communication in general. SO hard to understand the meaning behind the words.
You know what we need? Brain plugs. Plug right into our towers, let us know what people MEAN when they type something. Of course, it' be a complex array of wires and that ilk, but meh.
Hehehe yeah, a veritable matrix of circuitry... :D :D :D
