I've looked around the site and I'd like to suggest some sort of journaling system in which we might be able to vent our frustrations. (No, not that kind! XD ) I'm talking some out-of-the-way area that still might be publicly accessible where we can rant about whatever we need to get off our chests, be it frustration with another user, your boy/girlfriend, evil long-term projects, etc. without other users having to look at it if they don't want to. Not even necessarily a private journal, but even a forum to post your grievances in, granted that is still follows the overall forum rules (not that people start posting things in there to help themselves with those other frustrations :sweatdrop ). Of course, I'm not advocating flaming in it, but a strongly-worded breakdown of the issue would still be okay, right? And advice would always be welcome. Getting your thoughts down can be therapeutic. And if nothing else, it might be a decent place for people to talk about life not big enough to put in Public Announcements.

You could use assorted things like the open thread, confessions, bored, etc. all to get one thing or another off your chest. It's not quite journalling, but as long as it's relevant, no one is going to get angry at you for sharing information about your problems. I think there was also a therapy thread a little while back, but that's probably died.

Ah, but my specific issue is with another user here. It's not something I'd care to put in a visible area, because this person hasn't done anything wrong, and I'm sure is just as frustrated with me about our encounters. We're essentially left tearing our own hair out, but with no good way to vent/communicate it.
Since we can't seem to communicate.
At all.
And it's really no one's fault, but it's still aggravating.
But I suppose if there isn't a need for it, there isn't a need for it.:sweatdrop

It would probably be a better idea to keep that off the forum entriely, PM's, MSN/AIM, etc. are better places for talking about that sort of thing. Saying you don't like someone where they can find it isn't a great idea.

It's actually not like that at all, but I guess I can see how it might be seen that way. That's why I said journaling. I tend not to attack people in writing, but address the problem and try to work it out with myself. Then, when I have it figured out, I have it all in one place in refined form. Now if I were just like "This guy ticks me off to no end" without even giving reasons or explaining, that would be unfit for pretty much anyone. If someone were REALLY so rotten that I couldn't find any redeeming qualities or any way to reconcile with them, it would, first off, be one hell of an accomplishment, and second, lead me to actually add the first person ever to my Ignored. I'm not angry at the user. I'm just frustrated that I can't communicate with someone with whom I'd very much like to exchange ideas.
Yes. D:
