La Resistance! Chapter 1: DOCTOR HUH?

OOC: Just a friendly warning, my i key is kinda screwy, so I may accidentally not hit it just right to get the button.

The assembled hunters, nearly two hundred, looked at the diminutive shadow standing behind a podium that was known as simply "Craig." The Black Sheep Squadron in New Erebus has been discovered, and only had time for one transmission before they had to destroy their computers. Craig said into the head of every hunter there. Pressing a button on the podium, Craig started up a movie of incomprehensible pictures, invoices, and sound bytes. As the movie played, Craig began speaking into their minds again, These are plans for the vampires' new weapon. It's a genetic weapon they're calling H.U.H., or High Undulation Hybrid. We aren't entirely sure about any of the specs, since we still haven't entirely broken the encryption, but the Black Sheep cryptographers have broken the code, and have it stored on their DOCTOR computers. I will personally lead the mission to rebuild the Black Sheep operation, locate their base, and recover the DOCTORs, if they still exist. Any volunteers to come along?

Jessica was standing at the front of the assembled hunters and when Craig asked for volinteers she stepped forward and up the staris leading to the stage stopping only three steps from the raised platform.
Her leathers creacked a little as she ascended the stairs, the new leathers still had that fresh smell that leather gets, her last set had been beyound recovery after finding the everloc nest and the ensueing clensing of that same nest.

"I'll go" she announced without a quiver in her voice, looking directly at Craig she waited for others to join the mission, for her the blacksheep squadron was more than a mission, her grandfather was part of that team, he had trained her since she could walk to be a hunter and told her of her prestegious ancestory, she had not herd from him in over a month and that was not a good sign, so she would join the team to get the information and hopefuly find her grandfather at the same time.

Guzzu and Rail were unmoving like statues.

And then they stepped forward, broadcasting their telepathic message at the same time.

Arthur had listened to the telepathic presentation with the vague interest of someone lacking anything better to do. When he had signed up with the resistance, there had been expectations of firefights against the vampires, and struggles to keep his bodily fluids on the inside. No one had told him there would be lectures. Well, someone might have mentioned it, but they couldn't expect him to remember every little detail. He was, he thought to himself, a man of action. Lectures were not action. Lectures were something that happened to other people.

Any volunteers to come along?

The finality of the words, even in his head, seemed to indicate an end to the talking. Arthur blinked slightly, coming back to reality, or at least to the present.

Volu-what? Oh.

Finally, something that sounded like it might lead to some action. The thought that taking on a mission that had apparently been too much for a fully trained squad passed briefly into his mind. It was met by the thought that staying would possibly mean more presentations like this one. The latter thought then proceeded to stomp the tar out of the former. While this minor mental battle took place, a pair of Ugg and a girl stepped up and volunteered themselves.

Eh, what the hell.

Arthur wordlessly stood up and walked to the steps to the stage. Stating that he was in seemed rather redundant -- if people thought he was walking up perform in the Miss Hunter paegent, they were probably too stupid to have survived long enough to join. Or they were Ugg, but he had his doubts that even their stupidity could stretch that far.

Only three of you? God you're a pathetic lot. Well, dismissed. You three, come with me. With that, Craig led them off into a side room. Here's the situation: This mission is a lot more important than any hybrid. The HUH does exist, but more important than that is a weapon they're going to detonate. The time is still encrypted, and the location of the weapon is also encrypted. We need Black Sheep's computers to decrypt the info. Now, get the hells out of my sight and get to New Erebus. I'll meet you there.

OOC: "Four. I'm playing a pair of twins. Still, a team of four is pretty sucky."

The twin Ugg decided to wait for someone else to leave and then follow them out because...well, just saying a place didn't help their adsurb lack of intelligence to come up with a direction to travel.

Jess looked at their small group, shook her head and announced "Wow the hunters are really scraping the bottom of the barrel if this is all were gonna get" looking over the other three people she knew they'd be in for a shit fight.

"I'll jus head and get some supplies meet you all at the east gate exit in twenty minutes" She turned on her heal and strode out of the area, Remembering something "The twins may as well head their now, else they'll forget in three minutes" SHe shot over her shoulder.

The Ugg apparently went with their original plan and started following Jess, unable to discover that they were being insulted.
