The teens circled around the symbol they had drawn on the floor in tabby cat blood. the candles were lit and they chanted in the sanskrit as best they could. Playing around with forces beyond their control the wannabe witches didn't know what they had gotten them sleves into. When "it" appeared. it shocked them. It was tall and feline in appearance dressed in red and gold Sherwani, with black trousers. It opened it's cat like eyes.
One of the boys was startled and slipped spilling a can of soda on the circle.
The demon smiled a fanged smiled and soon the teens problems were no more.

"Department Director, Gerald Tasker, is recovering in a secure psychiatric facility and is said to be doing well." Doctor Kyle Masters said in the black marble meeting room. The room was devoid of natural lighting and was lit by a series of halogen bulbs in the ceiling. The table in the center was one of those wretched modern affairs of faux blue granite surfacing on a plywood table with red maple rim. The chairs were uncomfortable at best, down right painful at worst. Doc adjusted the papers. "His family is thankful for all your well wishes, and seem to have blocked most of the memories of the Kraken attack. Now we've had some mishandling of the cases lately. Noel, next time we have a wannabe vampire coven, don't try to scare them straight. Amanda, please be certain next time to get the right research files. Files on a Succubus, don't help if the demon is a Lilitu, I will acknowledge they are similar, but there are differences. We do have a new case."
Doc picked up the remote and turned the plasma screen on. A powerpoint presentaiton showed a basement in a suburban home filled with carnage. there was blood, all over the room, body parts (many apparently having been chewed on). On the ground the remains of what looked like some kind of symbol. Mostly destroyed or messed up.
"In Bridgeport Conneticut, we had a group murder of a highschool magic club. "
The slide show progressed with the crime scene photos.
"The FBI are officially investigating this case, so please dry clean your FBi uniforms. The autopsy's of all the victims seem to indicate an animal attack, possibly a large feline, like a lion or something. There were hairs found on the seen that do not match any known species of cat however. Books on Sanskrit pronunciation, were found on scene but no books on magic, so my best guess is the perp took the books with him when he left, which would explain the raided look of the room."
The last photo showed the only section of what looked like part of a summoning circle. Most of the section seemed to have been dissolved by what appeared to be a coke stain.
"Looks like we have a demon with a taste for human flesh on the loose in the New York metropolitan area. We're departing for New York on the red eye tommorrow, so we need to try and figure out what we're dealing with by then. Any questions, comments, or reasons why you can't travel to New York?"

After looking over some pictures, Wally raised a hand.
"We probably aren't looking at anything particularily special. You said books on Sanskrit pronounciation. Commercially available books on a dead language? No books of magic? I'd guess those are also mass produced, and unfortunately have somethign real in them. A bunch of teens probably thought they were being dark by chanting some dead language, and they just happened to pronounce stuff right."
Wally leaned back in his chair.
"Most copies are copies of honest to god books that were found. If there was an enchantment to raise some large bad-ass demon, it wouldn't have been with the rest. If they feared it, they destroyed the summoning. If they didn't, it would've been engraved onto a gold tablet or some shit like that. Those in turn, would either have been taken by looters or sold to a museum. If it ever was published, it would by time magazine, and teenagers don't read time magazine."
There was a silence in the room.
"Yes. I ranted. I'm sorry."

"But it was a magic club, they would have some magic books." Kevin reponded to Wally. "People don't just make a random summoning circle, then say some random words in another langauge, and summon something."
Kevin stood up to address everyone at the meeting, and because he couldn't take sitting in the chair any longer. "But, ignoring how it got here, anyone know what it could be? We've got an..." Kevin paused for a moment to think, because he forgot where sanskirt originated from. "Indian? cat demon. If those things have some major weakness like werewolves, I'd like to get some attachments to abuse that."
"Also," Kevin turned to Kyle, "what does 'the red eye' mean?"

"Red eye? Sounds to me like he means at dawn or maybe even sunset. That or I could be completely off target." Harle sat back with a smile on his face. He took out his pocketwatch and looked at the time. He mostly thought the watch would make people think he was snazzy when he looked at it. "One question is how they got that summoning and the sanskrit books."
Harle remembered the picture of the dissolved circle. "Hmmmm coke, not what I would want to drink before I died", he said in jest. The situation was serious but he couldn't help joking around.

Jerome sunk his head into his hands. Why was he doing this? It had sounded exciting and useful at the time, but now he just wondered if he'd do better preaching to soldiers. He sighed. No backing out now. At the very least, hard-nosed military training made these chairs feel like plush leather armchairs, amd the extent to which they could voice their opinion here felt like beautiful anarchy."But, ignoring how it got here, anyone know what it could be? We've got an...Indian? cat demon. If those things have some major weakness like werewolves, I'd like to get some attachments to abuse that. Also, what does 'the red eye' mean?""Early morning flight," said Jerome, beat out by Harle by a second. He waited for him to finish before saying, "And yes, I'm fairly sure Sanskrit's Indian. I think I read something about tiger demons a while back; I'll look that up for you after we get out of here."

Celvia looked thoughtful. "Cat demon, huh? I wonder if chocolate is out of the picture?"
Probably the best way to kill a cat creature that could do that kind of damage is figure out where it's hiding out and fumigate the whole place while it was full and sleeping. That, or somehow get it to consume lethal quantities of Tylenol.
She didn't think she'd have anything to contribute until they were in New York and so kept her guesses to herself. Besides, just how small did she think the gap was between cat demons and domesticated cats? It's not like a cat demon could be lured into a trap with catnip or something like that.
...Could it?

Sean raised an eyebrow. "A cat demon, huh? Hm. I might be able to sniff the sucker out, but I'd have to get the scent and maybe a description or two first..."
Sean sighed. "I wonder if any of my old contacts could help with a cat demon. I doubt it, but hey, it's worth a shot. Like I said, I am going to need something to get my old snoops to work with. Amanda, Jerome, if one of you could get me a description of what they look like, or, even better, a picture of the little beastie, I can probably get us pointed in the right direction."
He grins ferally, and his eyes glint. "I always liked cats. They taste like beef mixed with fish."

"Oh come on, those kids looked like they were pretty good, how was I suppose to know they would do that?" Noel said in jest as a response. Noel looked like he was trying his best to avoid sitting in the chair, more or less leaning on one side with his feet out.
"Well clearly since this is from India, someone do some research on their more feline demons and such. Maybe we can figure out what is normal over there." Noel said, trying to push this idea further. "Who knows, maybe their is an obvious weakness, like fish or something."

Amanda eyed the photos carefully, examining the wounds and the appearance of the room. "Well, it looks to me like the group was trying to summon something, but also to protect themselves from it. Cat demons and the like are often associated with the devil, and it's said that to protect yourself from the devil, you either get yourself inside a circle, or get it inside a circle, because there are no corners for him to break free. The can of coke that spilled broke the blood circle and that's how it got free. I'll take a look at some of my sources to try and get us a ballpark of what it is, but it'll be a lot easier to I.D. it once we get to the room and investigate."

"Oh, nothing like an easy job is there?"
Wally nestled his head into the cage of his fingers, as he leaned dangerously far back.
"These teenagers don't really strike me as a cult. If they were serious about what they were doing, they'd know to keep liquids away from the circle. The fact that they made the circle then broke it implies they did it only because they were told to."
Wally snapped forward and stood up. "I'll go and hunt down personal records, and see if I can find out if they've got anything from India recently. Also, before I go...how much heat are we bringing on this one?"
One of the better known things about Wally was that he didn't like bringing his rifle with him if he didn't have to.

A well dressed man in a business suit walked into the Main Lobby of the Waldorf-Astoria. He was tan and beautiful, he appeared to be of indian decent he smiled his perfectly white teeth at the desk clerk.
"Welcome to the Waldorf-Astoria will you be checking in?"
"Yes" he said with no trace of an accent. "My name is Mr. Ravana, is your Royal Suite available?"
"I'm sorry sir, but that room is unavailable at this time."
"I suppose a Grand Suite will do." He said.
"Very good sir. How long will you be staying."
"A month or two I suppose."
"May I see I.D. and a credit card."
He waved his hand in front of her face. He looked bored in a predatory manner. The clerk blinked several times.
"I see everything is in order. I'll enter the necessary information in our computer."
"Thank you very much for your hospitality. I don't have any bags to carry, just an old footlocker I checked with your bellboy at curbside. I would like to see the concierge about locating a reputable tailor while I am staying in the city. Also I'd like to see about making standing reservations for two at Tavern on the Green."
"I will notify him and he should be down any moment to show you to your room."
"Thank you so much, and may I say you are a most lovely girl."
The girl blushed and looked in to his eyes. She noticed his eyes were beautiful but odd, his pupils were golden like the eyes of a Tiger. He smiled, an almost cat like smile.

Doc was trying again to find a match for the chunk of symbol. he had broadened the surch threshold to try and be as unspecific as possible. He finally got a match. His jaw dropped open and he started swearing loudly.
He hit the intercom button.
"I got 60% match for the section of symbol. It's not good. Those kids didn't just summon any Rakshasa, they summoned their king, Ravana. I want all the information you can find on Ravana, and I want it on my desk by tommorrow morning. I'm going to go an oversee inventory at the Warehouse, so when you hopefully find a weakness, we have something in stock to exploit it."

While the others researched Aaron was doing a few movements comprised of various martial arts. It was that moment he heard the news. "Their king? In most mythologies the king was often the strongest of a race." He sighed flattly. Being the combat specialist his main duty was killing it once the chance presents itself. OOC: Because of the intercom thing, I'm assuming the meeting ended and everyone went their own way.
"Rakashasa eh? Shape shifting demons from Hinduism. They don't have any specific weaknesses that I know of." Said Dr. Wilson. He was an old English man, in his late 60s, had a thick head of white hair and full beard, and always wore a white lab coat. With the many PhDs he had acquired in his years, Dr. Wilson was the perfect candidate to lead a human cybernetic project. Which is why he was the lead scientist in charge of Kevin.
After the meeting, Kevin had gone to the labs. Before every mission the team of scientist in charge of him did full tests to make sure everything was working properly. Usually they would add something new for Kevin to test out, or graft on anything that would help him for his next mission.
"So no new weapons this time?" Kevin asked. He was lying down on a table, calmly watching several doctors and scientist pick apart his body. Because Kevin could control his nerves, he could be conscious through all of this. Once he was curious how much it hurt and turned on his pain receptors. Something he will never do again.
"Sorry, nothing new this time. Would you like to have somethi-" Dr. Wilson was cut out by Dr. Masters announcement.
"So anything special about Ravana?" Kevin asked.
"The myths about him say only humans and animals can harm him, he can split mountains, and regenerate from any wound. Only a sacred arrow made by Brahma fired by Rama was able to kill him." One of the doctors in charge of Kevin's human half responded. He was Dr. Johar, a relatively young Indian doctor. He also happened to be a Hindu, which is why he knew something about Ravana.
"I hope the myth nerds find out something better than that. Fighting a mountain-crushing shape-shifting magical regenerator doesn't sound fun, and I doubt Brahma is just handing out sacred arrows."

Wally was in his office trying desperately to keep himself from slamming his head through the wall. People were stupid. And annoying.
"No! No, the child's name is Nickel, Jason. His mother is-No! Jason is his first name! His father is Brett Nickel. I would, once again, like a copy of all credit card purchases he made. Yes, I would like the locations..."
There was a silence.
"All of the locations. Every single purchase he's made with that credit card ever."
Another silence.
"Yes, I'd like the locations, and dollars amounts."
A fax rolled out a his machine a few seconds later. It was a list from a Brad Miken. And there were no days. Wally gave in and slammed his head into the wall.

Meanwhile, in the library the myth nerds were doing their research....
A stood silently in the shadows, grasping at books and tossing them aside almost as soon as they were grabbed. His only companion was a radio tuned to an oldies station. Chris pulled another book from the shelf and cracked it open quickly, he knew one of the books in this section had an entire chapter dedicated to Ravana. Being a Librarian leaves a lot of time for reading and Chris has had more then enough time in his twenty plus career at the DRS to at least skim these books. "Rats." Chris declared simply before tossing the book into his ever growing pile.
Chris was beginning to think that he should go drink a pint to help his mind focus when he cracked open the next book to just the right page, "This is it." Chris nearly sprinted to a far wall as he tried to read as quickly as possible. He slammed his finger down on the intercom button with a little pride, "Alright listen up, this Ravana guy is all kinds of powerful, both asura and brahmin. To translate that means he's both holy and demonic, he's studied the holy arts, learned the traditional method of fighting the... kshatriya, he even performed a several thousand year penance to the god Brahma to recieve a blessing of...." Chris turned the page frantically.
"Supreme invulnerability and invincibility from gods, celestials, other demons, serpents and wild beasts. That is, after he asked for immortality." Chris' eyes widened, "Hoka hey.... It appears that Brahma was also so kind as to add a knowledge of divine weaponry and even sorcery to Ravana's repertoire."
"So to sum up, this creature is both evil and good all at once so just holy works wont be enough. Keep that in mind Jerome, and further he's invulnerable to all but humans, though he probably isn't protected against cyborgs for that matter either. Anyone found out about something that could say... hurt this guy?" Chris released the button and began perusing the book a little further for anything he might have missed.

"Christopher? I seem to have memories of this mountain breaker. I can't seem to remember everything. It seems that either Satan or my body's other soul Valthesar made a bargain with this Hindu creature. Something went wrong, and Satan cast Valthasar out of Hell. The demon had to wait as an impotent spirit on the planet Earth for thousands of years, unable to effect human history. The barriers of Valthasar are weakening, and he is trying to break free. I don't know exactly what is going on right now. My whole life I've been doing nothing but fighting. "

A loud yet low boom was heard as a large stone was pulverized. With a smile he pressed the intercom. "So you say he is invulnerable to anything besides human flesh? Well this is why they signed me up for this." He clenched his fist, thinking for a moment. "However by the sounds of it this creature is skilled in all forms of combat. If you can give me a clear shot, and tell me where his vital organs are I can probably kill him. Can you get more detailed information on him. Especially of that toxin in their nails. I would very much like an antidote for it." He then released the button waiting for any more news.

Would you mind telling me though how that is supposed to help me with my research or answer the question I aske....", Chris paused for a moment as his finger slipped from the intercom's console. He pressed the button much more forcefully a second later, "You said mountain breaker right?" Without waiting for a response Chris walked to another rack of books and began looking through them with a new found zeal, rather self assured that in a few moments he would find some more information on this 'Ravana'.
Chris raised his head as Aaron's voice came over the loudspeaker, then sighed. "Oh yes, the information is just so easy to pick up I'll get right on that Aaron, after all I can just pick up a single book and find what you need," Chris grabbed a book sarcastically to illustrate his point, although he was alone and the intercom wasn't switched on, "Look, see, already have the book I.... Hey, I've been looking for this." He began thumbing through the new book slightly absent-mindedly.

"Goddamnit, why the fuck didn't remember this before?" He growled to himself as he leaped over his chem tables. Punching the intercom button, he said, "Hey, Chris, I remember way back when I was told to do a report on this Indian guy who went crazy and thought he was someone named Vibhishana, Ravana's brother. I did some research, and found that this guy named Dr. CS Shah wrote some thing called "The Last Battle." There was this one bit that stuck in my mind: 'He recalled how he once had faintly overheard the weakness in the body of Ravana -- and that weak spot was his umbilicus (middle abdominal region), not head, nor heart, nor neck!' Does that help at all?"

Wally was scrolling through the proper list of Visa transactions. He tapped the intercom button.
"I take it back. We're dealing with an authentic book here. At some point, one of the kids' fathers payed 200$ for to a 'Ye Old Novella' rare book store. After some shuffling, the father was of half-Indian descent, and he was interested in collecting his people's history. Real book."
After listening to them talking about how to deal with Ravanna itself, Wally decided to toss something in.
"Hey, it's vulnerable in the torso, right? Would a .308 Lapua has enough juice to hurt this thing, 'cuz I got about fifty of those in my office right here."

"Hmmmm....." Chris said openly as he perused his newfound book, only half listening to the chatter over the intercom that is until the mention of Dr. CS Shah. He suddenly drifted to yet another set of books and lifted on free of the shelf, setting it upon his other two he cracked it open. "No, no, wait, yeah, there it is." He set down the first two books to lighten the load before returning to the intercom, "Alright, firstly, it was called "The Final Battle" not the last, secondly, good find. It clearly depicts the final battle of the hero Rama and his victory over Ravana with the help of Vibhishana, who was in fact the brother of Ravana not merely a crazy man. Though he might have been."
"It looks like he was beaten with a brahmastra....brahmastra.... I've heard that somewhere before." Just as he left the intercom Wally chattered on for a bit. Giving Chris plenty of time to find what he was looking for, a guidebook of the major holy weapons of the world. He found what he wanted quickly, after all the book was alphabetical.
He jumped back on the intercom quickly. "No Wally I don't think a .308 Lapua round is going to have enough juice, that is unless the bullet was given to you by brahma himself. Also Wally I'm gonna need you to get me the name of that book, if any schmuck can buy it with his visa we should at least have one copy of it on-hand. And Aaron I hope you were listening earlier to Sean; Remember to hit the abdomen, I'm looking at all the stories and that seems to be a binding thread."
Chris almost walked away from the intercom before he hit the button one last time, "Hey Doc, do you think we have any spare Brahmastra's lying around, or should we just start praying to shiva for an equivilent weapon?" Chris smiled a bit as he walked over to his pile of books, he was finding alot of information on this, but it was all very vague, for once he found himself hoping the resident slayer/demonologist was having better luck then he.

"Do you think an arrow blessed by Thor will do?" Doc asked into his bluetooth.. "You all know inventory in the warehouse is long over due, half this stuff is left over from the nazis. If I see one more swastika I'm going to scream. I've got a copy of the book you're looking for down here. I already catalogued the hindu section. In terms of weapons we got a pair of Katar's sacred to Kali. We do have the last Brahmastra on earth. It's in high security containment. I'm pulling up the log files now... Ok, scratch that plan. This thing's energy signature is off the chart and legends say if used there will be famine on earth and for 12 years there would be no flora and fauna where it was used, unless the weapon is withdrawn properly following the procedure laid down in the scriptures. Why not drop a tactical nuke on the guy, it seems like an A-bomb would be less destructive. Perhaps we can try an imprisonment curse, or unsummoning him. I'm sending the book your way see if there is anything about putting him back. I'm going to keep looking for anything else of use."
Doc picked up the ratty looking sanskrit book and loaded it into the dumwaiter. He typed in his location code, the destination code, and the security code. The book moved along the mechanical freight system to the library. Upon arriving the Dumwaiter made a "Ding" noise and opened.

Over in his mind Aaron went over what they know. "We know of his weak point..." He casually hit the intercom. "We know of his weak point. But we dont know how weak it is. Will a single hit there kill him, is it merely the only part thats even possible to harm. As far as we know we have to rip it open and shove in a nuke. Look I can easily do massive amounts of damage to that spot" "assuming I can get close enough without him killing me" he mutters. "My point is we need a tad more detail. Kevin was done with the first part of his tests. The doctor scientists cut him apart and everything on the inside looked normal. Now they would make him do several physical tests as well as try out all of the attachments. But first, he wanted to ask something over the intercom.

"No." Chris replied simply to the question of Thor, while that was kind of neat to have something told me the Norse Gods and the Hindu ones were not on speaking terms. "If you think you got tired of looking at swastika's you should have tried living in Nazi Germany. Ick." That brought up some bad memories. "A nuke might actually work." Chris said to himself as Aaron came onto the intercom.
Right after the ding Chris hungrily grasped at the book only to find it lacking, it was the Artharva-Veda and it was in sanskrit. Chris hated reading sanskrit. He sullenly went through its pages as he did his best to answer the questions coming up.
"Well Aaron in the fable, all three versions I've found so far, the attack on him was an arrow, which most likely pierced him as if he were a human as he had no invulnerabilities to it. If you were to aim for a single point as I'm sure you'd like to go for his solar plexus its the center of nerves just beneath the sternum... wait, no, not there. In Hinduism there is a point considered sacred, they call it the, the uh... Shit."
He mindfully released the button before cursing. Snatching another book up he returned to the intercom quickly, "Its the Manipura you want to hit, just above the navel. It's the third sacred chakra point in hinduism. That point is responsible for delivering prana to all over the body."
Chris glanced over to the three versions of the book on the table, all of them had a picture denoting the wound in his belly button. "Thats how they did it the last time Aaron. And I'd like to say he doesn't fear humans, but that probably wore off right about the time one of you killed him. So you probably won't even get a free shot at the guy."
Chris went on with his translation of the book for a moment until Kevin came on the line. "Well he wasn't cat-like the last time you see he was.... wait.... you're right." Chris flipped to the section of summoning and found the word he was looking for immediately, it was the first sanskrit word he'd ever bothered to learn. Blood. Chris was on the intercom again within a moment, "They needed blood to summon Ravana. They probably didn't want to use there own so they substituted it with something they were willing to risk, like.... Doc, could you send someone to check on that summoning circle, if I'm right, the blood isn't human, and it explains Ravana's transformation."
"And... thank you Kevin." God Chris hated doing that.

Raven had just returned from another mission, one as it happened to turn out was nothing more than some teen prank gone bad.
fifteen college brats with more money than they had sence had gotten their hands on some new "drug", the problem was that this drug had some nasty side effects, one such was the loss of most motor function, hallucination and a insatiable hunger.
Unfortunatelly with all these things happening at once they ended up killing and devouring a number of their peers and ofcourse rumers of zombies got back to the boss, Raven had been dispatched and for the last three days and nights he had tracked down the groop and upon finding out the truth informed the police of the drug.
Now Raven was back and the buzz around the base was large, everywhere he looked people were very busy, Raven however needed to know what was happening so he went strait to the one source he knew would know...Doc.
Entering Doc's room was always an interesting time, there was always something on the burner and alot of the time it was volitle.
"Hey Doc?" Ravens husky voice called into the lab he could see movement but waited for Doc's answer, "Hey Doc what in the hell is happening?".

Noel's voice suddenly picked up on the comm. "About that blood, I'm getting a closer look at the photos, and I am sure that blood is from a cat. Also, if this thing has all these magical powers, what about shapeshifting? Is there anything suggesting that?" Noel finished up with, then waited for a response.
Noel thought for a minute, then went up and headed towards the warehouse. He was pretty sure since the thing said mortals, he was excluded, so he was going to hunt up some charms and such that might be a little bit beneficial.

Noel had moved fast. I mean so fast that he had went into a side entrance to the warehouse and was looking over the armor section when the reply came. "Ah yeah, forgot about that. So then Ravana could probably just been summoned in cat form. He probably isn't even affected by the fact that it was cat blood." Noel went on as he went through the stuff.
After looking for a bit, he gave up. Instead he directed his efforts to a demon sealing spell instead. This wasn't his strong spot, but he thought he could find something.

Then in that form, if he maintains freedom of motion. It is impossible to get at him. If our information is correct I can easily kill him. However if as I just stated is true, I could never get close enough to do so. It is also safe to assume he isn't so stupid as to have no defence against projectial attacks. We can still hope he cannot take his true form. But we should assume he can and come up with ways to create an opening."

Three caffene tablets, 1.25lts of coke and a blueberry muffin later Raven entered the Warehouse, still looking like hell but feeling much better for the time being "Hey Doc you still here?" closely followed by "Cause i'm not chasing you everywhere ya old coote".
The warehouse was the type of place Raven likes you could find almost anything in any of the one hundred plus that the division owned, this one was well stocked but not as well as some of the others he had been in.

"Excuse me, Doc sir. I was wondering if you had considered a less . . . violent approach to this Ravana fellow. Someone mentioned earlier that he is partially divine, so I doubt he's gonna try to destroy existence. I'd just rather not risk someone dying if we don't absolutely need to kill this thing. Or if we're gonna shoot first and ask questions later: could you point me in the direction of that Vibhishana doctor man who thinks he's Ravana's brother? He might be willing to help us."

It's most likely me; if it isn't, I'll transform back and let you guys know, 'cuz I will smell it. I'll find out if you want capture or kill, if it's kill I'll do it, otherwise send a field agent and I'll activate my GPS so he won't try to bag me. Celvia didn't think there was anything she could do, and so went out to eat. Nothing special. Dual Glock 22's were stocked in her room with four clips. Her carbon steel survival knife laid out beside them. She didn't intend to dual wield unless using the knife with one of the guns, but merely intended to have a replacement gun in case the first was knocked from her hand or something. After dining out, she returned, undressed, and entered the shower.
To be honest with herself, she was pretty intimidated. Fighting freak creatures and violent beasts was one thing. Sealing away something that singlehandedly overwhelmed the netherworld, heaven, and the entire human race as an entity powerful enough to control the sun itself...was something entirely different. Celvia decided to look on the bright side. She was a very attractive woman, so if by chance they failed, Ravana probably would choose to add her to his personal harem that he would probably be rebuilding instead of obliterating her.
Celvia sighed and reached for the body soap. It was entirely possible that Ravana would be much less than the sum of the legends surrounding him when they would all meet in the flesh.

Taking a break and sinking onto his bed, he gave a half-sob into the pillow. "Fuck." After hearing the order of getting some sleep, he got undressed, and jumped in and out of the shower. He quickly got dressed in some sweats and began to work out with his small weight set. Once he was done, he figured out his human-form weapons. His trusty .22, complete with built in silencer, and small amount of steel throwing knives. He also set out his claw sharpener, and, after transforming, began to sharpen them. He also tested his teeth on a cement block. After transforming back and spitting out any leftover cement dust, he said to himself, "Damn! Jaw strength as strong as ever," he pulled a small chunk of cement out of his cheek, "Claws sharpened damn sharp. I'm good." he said to himself. Wally was outside of the van, and had taken off his glasses. He was strapping on what looked to be a segmented/carapace-like bulletproof vest. It was actually on their crazy vests that could stop bullets or knives, but was also blessed to stop holy things or hellish things. The weird part, Wally thought, was that for such a secret agency, there was a big "DRS" on the back. Over this went the mandatory suit jacket.
He put his glasses back on, then put in his little blue-tooth earpiece, so everyone could stay in constant contact. "So, we on channel two this time?" Someone nodded, so he set his comm to that.
Next to come out was his bag. In this bag was his rifle, some more ammo for his M1911, and the true reason he was there, his long list of reference materials and his laptop.

Chris was trying to appear unshaken but he had almost clawed his way out the door before someone stopped him.

"Why do you think I was up front messing with the pilots?" Noel said to Chris as he stepped past him. He on the other hand had recovered from his irrational fear a little bit better than Wally had.
Noel had only two things on him that mattered. One was his sunblock. It was like grade 400 or something ridiculous like that. He used that stuff all the time, which explained why he was tan.
His other item was his revolver. It was a custom build, and it was scary as hell to anyone looking down the barrel. First off, it was a silver revolver. The cylinder held 6 shots, but was long enough to hold rounds that were big enough to go into a rifle. The rounds themselves were silver as well, but happened to be filled with Mercury, or quicksilver in the old days. The last time he had to use that revolver, he blew a hole in someone big enough to stick his fist into. Of course, he had been hurled off a building and broken his leg so fighting was out of the question anyway.
Course, that was a while ago, so right now he went ahead and started loading the van. While he wasn't a researcher, being a field operative meant he knew how to use all this stuff.

"Actually, I think I can give us a location."
Wally spun around and held up his laptop with an adress on there.
"Okay, I threw a guess that this guy would be awesome psychic. We know he's vain, so he likes fancy stuff. So, I got the records of every hotel in the city. They keep track of services done, like giving out rooms, right down to room service. Anyways, next to these are payment methods. There are a few that have a service listed, but no payment, but only one within that big block."

"The Waldorf-Astoria, good work. Get a team together, and investigate. Hopefully it might be as easy as talking to a desk clerk." Doc said. He was looking a bit rough from lack of sleep. He tried not to show it, but he knew he was probably going to lose some of the team on this one. This guy was worshipped as a god. That is a level of power that he was unprepared to deal with, without expecting casualties.
Doctor Masters rubbed his temples as he felt that foggy minded feeling insomnia brings.
"This job is going to kill me."

"We might want to be a little careful"Raven spoke up" he could have anyone bedazeled and under his controll."
Looking at the monitor he added, "Do we want to makesure he has fewer people around just incase it goes askew?" he looked at Doc then scanned the rest of the team who were there.

"The fewer witnesses, the fewer potential casualties." Doc said. "Keep it quiet, make up an excuse about a possible threat to national security. You do have D.H.S. badges so a flash of them should get you the list of every guest in the hotel for the last month."

Celvia looked around the office and found what she was looking for. "I'll go get some coffee going. And maybe we can find something to eat besides what one might find in a vending machine. How do you like your coffee, Doc?"

Celvia nodded and scanned the coffee maker. Fortunately, it looked to have been cleaned recently and the supply of filters and grounds were replenished. Once the maker was started, the scent of fresh coffee quickly filled the room.

"I guess subtlety is not Sean's strong point," Amanda said as she stretched and got ready to leave. "Hopefully this won't get messy."

"Time to fight a demi-god, oh joy." Kevin mumbled to himself. From what Kevin knew, Ravana was evil, and a conquerer. So he doubted there would be any peaceful end to this mission.

"It would be best if you kept the fighting to a minimum Kevin," Looking up from his book for only a moment, Chris address' the open ended com in front of him as if he was standing just next to his cyborg comrade. "Killing him would be preferable." Chris went back to his book deep in the pit of a headquarters feeling a bit of annoyance, even though he is not fluent in sanskrit, he knew that there is something he's missing.
Chris loathes that feeling.

Sean came out of the Porta-potty he ducked into to have a good laugh. "No. Hell fucking no. My game face won't come on until we get into the showdown with this sunuvabitch. That is, if we need it." He giggled. "Geez, do you think I'm an idiot? Even if I did have it on, I would stay in the shadows and alleyways. Anyway, Doc, what do you want me to do? I'm just kind of existing now. You know how I hate that." He leans up against a wall and acts like a bum so nobody would mess with him. Which was kind of easy, seeing as he got shit all over his overcoat in the Porta-Potty. What kind of shit, he didn't want to think of.

Ravana was sitting on a bench next to a duck pond. A beautiful middleaged woman was sitting next to him, but his attention left her and he closed his tigerlike eyes and focused on something more distant. Someone was looking for him.
"What is it? You look a million miles away."
"No, my sweet not nearly that far. I just had a thought."

"You should have gone with the Dayshift, Sean. Just locate any suspicious persons, and report them to day shift." Doc said. He sipped his coffee, it wasn't the best, but not the worst.

"Well, as the song goes, 'I drink alone. Yeah, with nobody else.' Same goes for my work. Kinda got used to the 'lone wolf' mentality, and old habits die hard. So what, just look for supicious people? Gotcha. Smell ya later, Doc."
Sean put away his Bluetooth headset and began walking down the street putting on his iPod headphones as he went. He was soon rocking out with his mix of Green Day, Queen, and Cledus T. Judd (Hey, in this world it helps to have something to laugh at.). He hid under his hat and overcoat, and sneaked furtive glances at nearby people in the hope that he might get lucky and run into the target. Even though he probably wouldn't recognize him if he did.

Ravana departed from his latest conquest with a phone number and dinner plans. She would make a nice addition. He however sensed a much rarer conquest in the vicinity.
"It's been so long since I've tasted a slayer." Ravana said to himself and licked his lips.

Raven sat down on the leather seat of the chopper, the corners of the bandana he wore twitched a little as he started the massive beast, the roar of the engine defining to anyone found too close to the waking monster.
Raven was ready to head out and with a nod to Doc he was on his way, he would sit a few blocks back from the target untill the rest of the crew got there, If their god left he would try to tail him, A chopper wasnt the best for this job but who would thing someone could be stupid enough to try it, then again the firm had backup transport anyway.

Noel was busy pasting the satillite feed of the area over the signal. He had a good idea of where the center of this power, and once he thought he got the image right, he peeked outside. They seemed a little bit aways, but he could make out a figure walking. He checked his screen, then looked back again.
"Guys, I got a visual on him." Noel said over the comm.

Ravana sat himself on a park bench. He examined his well manicured hands. He then straightened his tailored suit. He let his long hair out of it's pony tail and it fell on his shoulders. He looked intently at the flower delivery van. Something was off about it, but he couldn't tell what.

"Alright, lets see here." Noel said, focusing in on Ravana. "He is currently on a park bench. Wow this guy got himself looking good. A very nice tailored suit. His hair is in a pony tail. The pony tail is sitting on his shoulders. Yeah, this guy has been enjoying himself with his visit here." Noel went on, examining a little bit closer.
